It was cool to see Joe " MOVE ". It was like after he watched TT he said to himself " I don't have to be still and take the hits , I can move ".

Man if he can put it all together he can be an " Elite " , he has the arm.

They feel cheap because its something you are supposed to be able to stop. Those plays always feel like your giving away free points. But like Orange Crush said, our poor kink/punt coverage is equivalent to some of the bad secondary play they were getting. Special teams are still part of the game.

We would be taking to ST TDs to the bank if the cards were reversed.
I see your point, and I of course agree that special teams are an integral part of the game.

However, was it their bad secondary play or was it the tremendous play of Flacco and the receivers that earned us our points? I would say a considerable bit of both. Bailey got toasted by Torrey, but he's still Champ Bailey. Torrey just burned him, twice. Jacoby's TD may have been a flukey, but he burned the guy covering him anyway.

The special teams plays, on the other hand, were quite literally free points that we gave to them. The kickoff return was a solid job by Holliday and the Broncos ST unit, but the punt return especially bothered me. I dont think Holliday and the Broncos hardly had to do anything on that play. Just field the punt, make a move and run.

You're right, those plays definitely felt cheap because we shouldve stopped them. Nothing comes free in the NFL for anyone.

But I guess the point I'm making is it certainly seemed easier for the Broncos to get those 14 points, than it was for us to score any of our offensive touchdowns. They just seemed like cheap points.

Yeah, I don't get why fans login to another teams site before a game and talk a bunch of garbage and then come to eat crow. It's stupid. It was an really hard fought game and the cold was just insane out here in Denver. Very unseasonable for us!

I'm from MD, so have a ton of love for that state. Now I'm not in the mood for any crow, but if your selving some Phillips crab cakes then I'm all in. LOL! You guys seem like a great group of fans.

Pretty cool that Peyton and Ray had a little alone time after the game. Tons of respect there for two great players.

Maybe this is not the time and place for it, but I've always been a fan of Peyton Manning, and this is why:

When asked about the no-call on the tuck rule, he said, "I thought it was probably a fumble. Certainly a possession I'd like to have back."

When asked about running the ball on that 3rd and 7 at the end of the 4th quarter that gave the Ravens life, he said, "That was an audible. Actually, I called that play, so don't put that on Mike [the Broncos' OC]. We just didn't do much with it."

Say what you will about his playoff record and him being a pain in the side to the Ravens, but he's a class act, unlike that Tom Brady fella. When Manning gets hit, he wipes himself off, and is already calling the next play before the defensive player has finished celebrating. You breath on Brady's cleats, and he's yelling at the refs for a flag.
Peyton is a class act. I love that he met with Ray after the game in the locker room. Just a classy guy.

Just read an article about Von Miller response to the game; his feelings some up mine perfectly.

Yeah, it feels terrible to lose a close game like this. Just think how the Ravens felt last year after the AFCCG. If you can imagine, it had to be even worse.

Yeah it's a very low feeling, but I think we have all been there. Today sucks in Broncos country, but we will be back in the hunt. Just a hard rough game by both teams. But I wish we had the refs that are officiating the NE/ Houston game. There letting the players play. Yesterday was like we had the replacement refs back.

Btw, it's still friggen cold here, it's 2 out.

Just saw that our 38 points scored in that game was tied for 9th most points ever scored by a road team in the playoffs, and 8th most points ever scored by a winning road team in the playoffs.

Holliday had to make a few guys miss if I remember right.

I was watching. I really didn't want the Patriots to go to another Super Bowl but I remember Cundiff's choking in the regular season and I wasn't too confident in his ability to make that kick.

Anyone remember Tom's tweet/comment when Ray announced his retirement?

Thanks to the Ravens for winning. I do not like the Broncos, so I appeaciate your victory. I am a fan of another AFC West team and Its always enoyable watching the broncos lose. Again, Thanks and good luck against the Patriots.

And Flacco's tds were blown coverages. I don't think mistakes by the other team makes plays cheap.
Dude, were you watching the same game?
Torrey beat Bailey for a bomb on one play and made another beautiful catch over Bailey on another man-to-man coverage. Jones caught the long pass to tie the game because your safety played like college player and did not get deep enough so that could be considered a 'blown' coverage.
BTW, who do you want to win next week, us or NE?

Eh, was gonna talk smack but I feel immensely satisfied with the Broncos handling of our division rivals this year.
BTW, who do you want to win next week, us or NE?
I'm never going to even consider the possibility of rooting for NE until everyone who is presently on the team is long retired, including the management. Even then, it's not likely I would root for them over the Ravens unless the Ravens franchise takes a nose-dive in integrity.

No, what was it?
It was a backhanded "praise" - saying something along the lines of even though he loved beating the Ravens over the years; that he kind of respected him.

Can't find an exact quote from work though.

Were they blown coverages or our receivers getting open? I guess it depends on which side of the ball you are sitting. Ravens fans (of which I thought you were now one) would prefer to think it was good play by our WRs. Truth is, any successful play is the result of someone screwing up and/or someone else taking advantage of that screw up. If the defense executed perfectly on every play then there would be no score.

I'll say this, I am not very confident we will win this game, but I know there is a chance. There is always a chance. If everyone comes out on their A game, I think we can stay in this game. My biggest concern is their defense actually. I think Moreno isn't a good running back and now that our starters are back, we will shut him down. Manning will pick us apart but if we can just take away their run game, we can bring more on a blitz or drop more in coverage.

Their defense is going to bully our offensive line.

If we lose, I don't see it being more than 14 points, if we win, I see us winning by a 47 yard field goal from Tucker
They brought their A game, I was wrong about the offensive line (See my other posts about how McKinnie should be starting, harbs finally does it and our line is playing much better, and I nailed it on the yardage of the Field Goal. So proud of this team and what Ray said to Joe before the game was very inspirational.

Champ was in rare form (and not in a good way), when he's jogging ten yards behind the receiver and there is no one deep to cover him I consider that blown coverage.

Not saying Flacco didn't make big plays anymore than one would say Holliday didn't make big plays. My point is not that the Ravens just got lucky but that the other team screwing up (which Champ did) does not take away from a huge play by your team, which seemed to be the point of calling the points "cheap."

About as purple as it gets. But I don't have an inferiority complex like some.

I like to talk about football objectively (even if means agreeing with a fan of another team). Not beat my chest and scream Tarzan like you. Sorry you don't approve.

Points are points. They were certainly easy points for the Broncos, but any points on a kick return are easy for the team that gets them. The Ravens were lucky that the Broncos screwed up. The Broncos were unlucky that the Ravens took advantage of it.

Too bad you don't follow all my posts. Here are my first responses to Orange Crush. Does this make you feel better?
I saw a lot of calls go your way as well. The better team won.

Yep. The refs were covering the Ravens who scored with no timeouts on a deep ball at the end of regulation. Your defense is overrated.

We've been on the other side. Grab your tissue because nobody cares.

You shouldn't be in a position to blame the refs. Your kicker shanked a kick. Champ Bailey can't cover with no pass rush. I'm not even sure but was Von Miller or Dumervil even playing? What about Manning. 2 INTs and a fumble? Or how about the fact that he couldn't throw the ball past 15 yards.

Yep the refs are the only reason. We came into your house and balled against the #2 defense. And ZERO credit, yep. Just like we had a zero chance against you guys.
Once again. Sorry I am not carrying conversations to your standards.
