I think we can do it. Flacco and Pierce play like they did here. Flacco had a 125.6 passer rating.
Saturday here we come!

Gotta play a lot better next week! LETS GO RAVENS!!!
Rice choosing to fumble for the first time this season in the playoffs and then a second time shortly after was not pretty to watch. Pierce outplayed Rice imho. We also dropped a couple very easy interceptions and Doss dropped at least one easy TD pass (can he really be the next Boldin? Doesn't look like it after this day).
But the worst part of the team was the OL. Flacco was getting pressure constantly from a Colts rush, that isn't all that great.
Defense looked good though. For the most part anyway.

Last time we played the Broncos we were without Pollard, Yanda, Ellerbe, McClain, and Lewis.

I think we have a shot. OLine needs to be the star.

You know what, real quick.

How come all these espn and nfln "anaylists" are coming at Joe? Saying he needs everyone around him to play lights out in order for him too? And why do they fail to bring up how Oher got beat literally almost every single play, and Joe had no time to throw at all.

Why are they blind to that? lol drives me crazy

Next Saturday the weather is supposed to be a high of 30 in Denver. Be in the 20s gametime.
With snow possibly! Can't wait.

Because that's been the talking point. I have advice to people who don't like to hear criticism about our team's chances. Because this next week, no analyst is going to give us a chance.

I actually love the Denver matchup. I'll wait until after the Colts game to give my breakdown, but i'm really confident going to Denver
Alright, I can't be the only one quietly dying to hear this explanation.

(not being snarky here either, I genuinely do want to know why you're so confident)

Let's be honest, no one wants or could see us win even more so now.
It's the Ravens job to prove them wrong, that's all.

Kind of the way we like it. We do better when people count us out. So I say sit back and enjoy the hate from the analysts this week.

a friend of mine that lives in denver and i just sent texts back and forth. He said; "bring Ray on, we (broncos) have a gift for him." then i replied; "Not only Ray but a more healthy Ravens defense will also be traveling to Denver this week....we're coming!!" he sent me a text back that said; "It should be a good game!" LOL!!!

Yep. And a much better OL as well. Having no Yanda against their D-Line was a HUGE missing piece.

Guess the 24Ravens hour rule doesn't apply to us fans huh? Haha.

I think some have touched on it a bit. I don't think they've been tested much. They've basically been in cruise control over the last 8 weeks or so. I don't think any team over that time took them to deep waters and made them play 60 mins. The Ravens came close, but obviously Joe had a terrible game.

I also think that watching that first game, the Ravens got exactly what they wanted offensively, but again Joe struggled. That was Caldwell's first game calling plays, and things weren't sharp. I strongly feel that a few first downs change that first half. Also the Ravens had good field position because they didn't really have a answer for Jacoby.

Defensively, the Ravens did a really strong job against Manning. That's without Ray, Pollard, a healthy Suggs, and instead of Graham and Brown, it was a banged up Jimmy Smith. Feel the D plays strong.

I like the power run factor of the offense as well. The Broncos D is undersized and Peirce was able to hit them a couple times, but Birk's holding brought back a 18 yard run that had the Ravens in scoring position.

Once the Ravens went uptempo, the offense started moving. Had Flacco not thrown the Int and Torrey gets his foot down on the play he got injured, the Ravens score 14 unanswered points, instead of just 3. In the 2nd half Caldwell started to figure out that Defense, which really prompted Peyton to take the air out the ball and run the clock. That is method is what really halted any comeback attempt.

Most people will look at this game and say the Ravens were out matched, and playing in Mile High might be a different story, but I strongly feel the Ravens were a few early first downs away from making that game really competitive. Don't wanna make the post too long, but there is much more that has me confident going to Denver. Will it lead to a win? Who knows

1. agreed

2. The first drop was thrown too far in front of him, he didn't drop it his finger tips just scraped the ball. The end zone drop was thrown too high over the defenders but thats an incredibly hard pass to throw.

3.

I'm hopeful for this game, honestly. I think we have a very good shot against the Broncos. As good as anyone, and possibly better. I feel good about this game, like I did about the Colts game. I think we can win it. I do think we need a better OL It appears that Flacco realized about in the 3rd quarter that the right side was weak. I remember him running to the left immediately after the snap one, as if he didn't trust Oher to block for him.

I'm honestly wondering if it might be better to have Yanda at RT with Harewood or Reid at right guard. Or put KO at RT with Yanda at RG. Then you can put Oher at LG with McKinnie at LT. I just really have no faith in Oher.

Hey congratulations Baltimore fans!

Was hoping to start a thread on this but I see your forums have a limitation rule. Respectable, wish ours was a bit similar but no complaints.

Allow me to introduce myself. I am Mike, clearly from Denver Colorado and one of the biggest Bronc supporters out there! I've been a frequent viewer of the boards around here. Now and then of course. But with such a big game coming up; I wanted to start my own account here. So cheers!

You guys did it, nailed it into the post season and started by taking out Indy. Which one way or another they won 10 games in the AFC and are a legitimate contender no matter what way you slice it. Out of all the playoff teams Denver could potentially face Baltimore was the one I wished to do so the least.. Granted the Pats are a scoring machine but their O-line is not what it once was and their secondary is still kinda weak.. All together the Ravens are in my opinion the most complete team both offensively and defensively truly didn't want to play you guys again.. I was happy with beating' ya once.. in fact. I hate playing Baltimore; you guys always seem to beat us. Anyways I just wanted to make some light conversation with y'all. Congrats on the big win today and good luck next week. It should be a good game, hope its injury free and hope Peyton can pull out another an ya.

Cheers guys. We're in the post season.

The opening line for this game has us (the Broncos) favored by 9.5

Should be a good match up, I'm looking forward to it.

If you have any questions about my team, feel free to ask and I'll answer them.

However, if you expect me to think we are going to get beat, that's not going to be me ;)

We've got a great chance with the way BAL's D has been playing!

both teams are good. a quick start is key like you said. we got blown out the first time. flacco will learn from his mistakes from the first game. for some reason i am not sold on denver. manning makes the whole team look better. win or lose it doesnt matter i'm still not sold on denver. granted they got defensive play makers and offensive play makers, but i dont think there as good as there record. whats gonna save them in the playoffs is having home field. if the broncos played wild card weekend they get eliminated. i'm not hating i'm just tired of hearing broncos are the best team in the nfl.

Hi guys a bronco fan here. Reading through the posts I see a lot of expecting to wins. Normally I would fear the Ravens but to be honest I don't fear you guys at all. A pretty swiss cheese Colts team played you guys pretty well til late in the 4th quarter today. I expect this game to be similar to the one early in the year except CBS won't be able to change the game in the 3rd quarter to Houston/Indy. Weather could be snowy to brutally cold to possible sunny and 30 degrees give or take a few degrees. I think the only way Baltimore makes a game of this is to win the TO battle by several. Denver has been lights out at home and Manning has shown as he has throughout his career to beat up on the teams that he should. Your OL is in deep trouble if the colts were getting pressure like they were and Harris will shut down Boldin like he did before and Smith won't do much against Bailey. Flacco will give our D several balls to make plays on and probably fumble on a Von/Doom sack at some point. Our run D is top notch and we will find out if Baltimore is patient enough running the ball. Denver 31-17

Hello Ravens Fans! (from a Broncos fan)

Congrats on the win today, and looking forward to a re-match with you guys.

My thoughts (and what I gather a lot of Denver fans think from a quick read of the forums) is that this will be a very tough game, much different than our last matchup. No one is taking anything for granted. You guys are healthier and more importantly, inspired. Ray Lewis' presence and coming retirement scares me more than him as a player right now. He's a legend and if Baltimore goes on to win this game, I'll be rooting for them to win the super bowl.

That said, I still don't think you have the offense to win this game. Anquan Boldin had an amazing game, but will be seeing Champ Bailey next week, so there won't be any freebee jump balls. Denver is the only team in the NFL to be a top 5 offense and defense team, so I think we put up points at a sufficient rate while not letting Flacco get in rhythm. Our house is also a very tough environment to play in. Of course, anything can happen on gameday. A few penalties or turnovers and all the stats go out the window.
