Jonathan Cooper- UNC
6'3 310
Strengths
1- Great athlete as his postions
2- Great Run blocker and good Pass blocker
3-Great at pulling and doing Kick out blocks
4- Runs like a FB playing guard sometimes and strong at the point of attack.
5-Quick feet, bend, get to second level consistanly for his team

Weaknesses and what i see on film
1- He has average height and bulk. will get pushed back but his feet will keep his guys at bay.
2- a bit long-legged for his postions. he also sometimes misses his targets on screens but not like warmack. he had good games opening holes for Bernard and the tar heels. he does have some flaw but with some more coaching he could be a great guard in the nfl.

Chance Warmack- Alabama
Strengths
1-Strong punch to shock Defenders and mostly can stop anyone..
2-Dominate Run blocker and also can get to the second level at ease
3-Great combo blocker
4-Pancakes his man at times and Moves extemely well for a man his size.
5-Great puller like Cooper

Weaknesses and what in see on film
1-Ok but good enough at pass protection and he will get beat alot due to slow feet and bad techinque at times and will get pushed back by better tackles and defensive ends. Don't believe me check this out(video below) i think its the 3rd play he goes aganist sam montgomery he hold up but you don't want a guard getting pushed 4 yards back into the qb thats bad and he had a rough game against Miss St.
2-Lacks Short area qucikness and bad screen guy can't hit his targets on screens passes. in that same video he blocking minter and just loses him like what happen and he missed a lot of them that lsu game.

I think they are both fantastic players and i see them being closer than most people have them yes they both have opportunies to become ravens with guards not being sexy picks. and both are great people in general and either are perfect so don't think im bashing one guy over the other and sayimng oh hes better because of sec or acc no. to me IDC where you are if you dominate you dominate and if you don't you don't. as long as you look good at your postion people will notice that.and here are some (youtube) videos of them.

Jonathan Cooper vs Maryland -http://youtu.be/UT55cgkIHNQ

Chance Warmack is the better prospect and no I'm not looking through my Crimson glasses. Idc if he would've played at Mount Union, San Jose State, or even Auburn.. I like his game film and think he is the best guard prospect. Jonathan Cooper is an excellent prospect but I think Warmack is a top 10 prospect who will fall due to position. Much better prospect than DeCastro was IMO. Good topic! Watching Cooper's film, I like him more than I did!

I think he's the second best player in the draft. Copper wold be better value because you would likely have to pick chance in top 20 but I don't think they even compare as players

Warmack is easily the best inside lineman in the draft but I still see a few red flags. Bust potential is high.

What makes you think he'd bust? I'd be interested in seeing a mock by you, you have highly intelligent comments on everything but no mock, I'd be interested in seeing your own.

Warmack won't slip past the Rams. But i like our chances to get Cooper.

I love Warmack. He is up there as the best offensive lineman in the draft. I don't know if he can reach us, however.

But honestly, I'm not all high on taking a guard. I really would rather take a LT than a guard because it's really the biggest weakness on the line and I feel we have players on the team who can be the LG.

I wouldn't pass on Warmack if he fell to us. He's just that good.

Everytime I watched bama games this year, all i did on offense was watch the Oline. Warmack is def the best OG, possibly the #1 linemen in the draft. If he was a LT, he would probably go #1 to KC. Right now I have Star, Jarvis jones and chance warmack as my top 3.

I see a lot of Duke Robinson in his game, he's better but overall he's just not quite as consistent as I would want from a first round guard. I was 50/50 on Grubbs too but for the opposite reason, I didn't think he was physical enough.

I've got one or two mocks for this year but they're constantly changing in line with changes in stock, two weeks ago my highest grade for our spot was Alex Okafor but now he's going to go higher.

I really like Cooper, but Warmack just flat out dominates the LOS. He has lapses at times where he gets pushed back or stumbles, but he is winning his battles 99% of the time.

I think Warmack might be as close to a sure thing as there is in this draft.
