A few days ago I wanted to see how some of my friends were rated on Rivals (coming out of high school) and i began to wonder... how did some of my Ravens rate coming out of high school? to my surprise almost all of them were 3 star recruits and below! I don't know if this is a testament to how good our team is at scouting, or if these 'expert' ratings are as bad as ESPN's football experts...

But take a look at the offense:

0 Stars - Bobby Rainey, Billy Bajema, Dennis Pitta, Jacoby Jones, Ramon Harewood, Morgan Cox

1 Star -

2 Stars - Bernard Pierce, Tandon Doss, Laquan Williams, Jah Reid,

3 Stars - Joe Flacco, Ray Rice, Anthony Allen, Miller Lonyae, Ed Dickson, Alex Silvestro, Torrey Smith, David Reed, Jack Cornel, Kelechi Osmele, Marshal Yanda, Gino Gradkowski

4 Stars - Dennis Dixon, Damien Berry, Tommey Streeter, Deonte Thompson, Michael Oher, Antoine McClain,

5 Stars - Tyrod Taylor

does 0 stars just mean they don't have a page? there's no way they thought Sam was THAT bad, especially if he was as much of a monster then as he is now. the dude could be a tight end!

If they don't have a link they didn't have a page. Which most likely means they didn't play varsity football their senior year.

Hmmm, I think it shows that some guys can be craptastic in high school, but put them in the right college program and suddenly they tear it up.

ha, at this point it's just a joke man.The title i had typed out was "A funny thinf I noticed" but not only did i realize there was a typo but I wanted to change the title all together. The entire thing posted as i was changing it though, so it was most likely my fault. (Thing instead of Thinf)

Well really, these rankings are based on things like mobility and speed. High school players are ranked on athleticism and size. Of course, talent has a lot to do with it too, but it's mostly athleticism and size.
