If they're both gone, we got some real work to do on the defensive side of the ball in the offseason. It's a sad day in Raven world.

Well, at least, I hope Eric Reid falls to the Ravens in the 2013 NFL Draft, even it is at the #32 selection. But, anyways, I had always known Ed Reed had a lesser chance of returning to the team (for next year) than Ray Lewis when this season started. Most likely, Reed is going to be asking for a hefty price; and, at his age, given his injuries and "diminishing" play, Baltimore has more key players to re-sign, such as Joe Flacco (obviously), Paul Kruger and Dannell Ellerbe.
In fact, the last thing the Ravens need is for Ed Reed to sign a big 5-year contract with bonuses, only to retire a year-or-two into his contract; thus, leaving wasted money in the salary cap that Baltimore can't do anything about. I wouldn't surprise if those "retirement talks", these past couple of years, has made this franchise not try to re-sign Reed, since it was apparent that it was not a pressing need. In a way, because of that, I believe that is also the reason why Terrell Suggs has matured as a human being, lately. Because, once Ray Lewis retires, Suggs is going to be the defensive leader. I mean, T-Sizzle essentially has been one, already, with Lewis out.
Either way, Lewis and Reed are both ending their Ravens careers by hoisting the Lombardi Trophy, next month. But, if Ed Reed chooses to sign with another team, for next season, I won't surprise me. Although, that organization's fan-base should be wary, given how's he playing, now, on a weekly basis and, more importantly, not having Lewis there to talk some sense into him by telling him to just play football, instead of thinking about retiring.

Ed Reed will be picking off an Uggs wearing pretty boy Patriot in the divisional round and play inspired, rejuvenated football in the AFC Championship game leading to New Orleans.

This is a Baltimore Ravens website, and you seem to be lost. Perhaps you can use Google Maps to find your direction.

Oh, hi there, Senior Bill Belichick!
You're still trying to replicate that success, you once had, of picking-up or trading for players, such as you did with Randy Moss, Wes Welker, Corey Dillon, Rodney Harrison, to name a few; aren't you? But, wait; those transactions happened years ago! Please tell me how more-recent transactions have gone for you, or should I ask Chad Ochocinco for that answer...
