Post who you think the most underrated player in this years draft is.

My most underrated player if projected to go in the 7th round:

Quanterus Smith, OLB (6-5 250lbs) Western Kentucky- Quanterus Smith is an underrated player who does a good job generating pressure on the quarterback. He's a very good athlete with the quickness and balance to employ a wide range of pass-rush moves. His best fit would be as an attacking outside linebacker in a 3-4 alignment. Luckily for him thats a system we can put him in. And in my opinion one of the best pass rushers in the draft. He had 12.5 sacks this past season which was tied for the 4th most out of any player.

Depends what you mean by underrated. I thought Alshon Jeffery was the best receiver in last years draft and he went into the 2nd round. I consider that underrated. I'm not too sure this year. People have been locking in on the physically gifted players who are undeveloped and not knocking the top guys too much. I'd wait until after the Combine to decide.

Every year we pick players (like Te'o) who we think we can grab with the 32nd pick but when the season and combine is all over we realize they are now in the top echelon of guys.

Quinton Patton, WR, is a guy that comes to mind. He is a smooth WR, has great production as THE weapon at Louis. Tech. Plus he reminds me of the Indy Colts WRs of old with a mix of Marvin Harrison, Reggie Wayne and Pierre Garcon route running and shiftiness

Jordan Hill, DL, Penn State is the guy who I think anchored the Penn State defense this year and allowed Mauti and Hodges to be the great players they are. I think he was underheralded at Penn St. and so far in the draft hype - I dont think GMs will let him slide though

Walter Football says Van Noy is staying at BYU (he is the last player listed so scroll down a lot).

Oh yeah, I didnt catch that. That's a shame, but it makes sense for him. It's a pretty loaded pass-rusher class so he could potentially go much higher next year.

Arthur Brown is this year's Lavonte David. No doubt about it. I'm just not sure Brown or David could have fit in our defense. Sean Spence hasn't done crap in the Steelers 3-4 defense I don't think. I'm not saying Brown cant but it just worries me.

The main linebackers I like for Baltimore's defense would be of course Te'o, Shayne Skov, Nico Johnson, Bostic out of Florida or of course Andrew Jackson if he comes out.

I'm not really a fan of any of those guys tbh. I'm leaning towards guys who are fast, athletic, and can play sideline to sideline. The guys on your list are more down-hill type players who struggle in space and in coverage. Andrew Jackson would be a terrible fit the more I watch him. He is big, like 260+, and he cant move laterally.

Sean Spence hasnt done crap because he got hurt and was placed on IR. He's also much smaller than Brown who is 6'1, 231. Not that much different than Ray Lewis when he came out.

Lewis started out as a 4-3 inside linebacker and continued to get bigger. I'd love Arthur Brown.. I just worry. Haha

I don't hear a lot of talk at all about Minter from LSU. I hear a lot about Arthur Brown, Ogletree, Te'o, etc. Kevin Minter is a beast man and has easily been one of the best defenders if not the best defender at LSU this year. I think the kid has 1st round talent. I like Te'o of course but we may not have a shot at him. So, for me the next best thing right now is Minter. I haven't seen this Arthur Brown play, so that may change.

Minter was a bright spot in a sad loss for LSU in the bowl game - He must have had double digit tackles in the first quarter alone. He looks like one of those rare all around LBs, who can blitz, stop the run and play the pass. The more I watch him the more I think he could be a guy like Jerod Mayo. Good call Grim on bringing him up as he was a consistent player all year at LSU.

Another guy I am surprised no one on this board discusses is Tony Jefferson, S, Oklahoma. Everyone is always talking about Elam, Reid, Vaccaro yet Tony is never brought up. I think he has the most potential, especially as a pass defender and is one of the most productive guys in college and has been a standout since his freshman year. Just another player that needs and deserves some attention

I really hope Minter declares. I thought I heard he was/did. If so, I want him right now really badly. I think he could be the top ILB taken if he returns next year. If we can get him with our original 2nd round pick, I will consider that a huge steal.

As for TonyJ, I love the way he plays. I think he could be one of the best safeties in this draft. I also like Rob Lester and Thomas. TonyJ is my favorite of the three, though.
