Dang.

Shhhhhh! don't jinx us you know?

Every time I am watching us play and the announcers talk about something good we've done it jinxes us. One time they talked about our red zone defense, how long it had been since a TD was allowed. Next play, yep, opposing team scored a TD. Stuff like that. So...shhhhhhh!

Hopefully the fact that the Colts are really young and they just came off a really emotional game with Paggano being there and all plus all the hype that goes with the playoffs will blurr their focus while ours will be razor sharp.

I like where we are now, we rested our starters on sunday so its like we coming off a bye week, we are getting healthier. Ravens win this game by atleast 14. A lot of people like Dungy saying we should of went for the 3 seed, ravens wanted to play indy? You know what dungy shut the (BEEP) UP trying to give more motivation to his old team. Didnt he rest his players instead of going for a perfect season? That guy makes me sick was overrated as a coach. Ravens will prove this week why we rested our players when the game is over by the 4th GO GET THEM RAVENS

Glad that history is on our side, but its meaningless. Just because we've won at least 1 playoff game a year under Harbs doesnt guarantee anything. We still have to go out there and play and 1 playoff win doesnt cut it anymore. Well just be the AFC version of the Eagles if we cant ever make it to the Big Show.

not to be disrespectful or anything like, but i dont get the big deal with chuck pagano and cancer, hundreds of people get diagnosed with cancer everyday, and hundreds more die, i have no idea what makes him so special or why everyone is giving him all the attention in the world, he is a person and this is a game nothing more and nothing less, if everyone wants to root for the colts because their coach has cancer be my guest but there is no sympathy in the NFL and i hope we destroy them this sunday

Yeah, the Ravens reached the playoffs each season under Harbaugh, and they always won at least one game there.

About the only two streaks the Ravens haven't yet broken the last one and a half months...

The first one goes on. As for the second one...

We'll see. One certainly hopes so.

No, with the talent on this team, one playoff win will not and does not cut it! Every team has a window, this is our last chance for another couple years. After this we rebuild the defense and OLine

Ya, Ya, Ya,
Never say "never". We've done that a couple times this year and it bit us in the butt!
There are NO guarantees so everyone be on their toes and beat your man and we'll be fine.
We should rock them this weekend if everyone is on point.

That is an amazing streak but we had other amazing streaks that were broken this year right after people started talking about them ie: undefeated at home then we lose to Pittsburg at home, or not losing back to back games sence 2009 then we lose three games in a row.... With that said lets not talk about our streaks and show on the field why the ravens have those streaks in place.

The Colts haven't been especially successful against winning record teams. they played 6 such teams and finished 3-3. All 3 wins came at home, so they're winless against winning record terams on the road this season. Also, it's gonna be the first playoff game for their QB - and we all know it's a mountain.

Also, we don't really know how good the colts are with Pagano at the helm. He was did the HC job for 4 games and the Colts finished those games 2-2. Most of those games were at the beginning of the season, of course, so its not totally fair - but the point still stands: we just don't really know how good a team the Colts under Pagano is.

I agree Ravensdfan. Let the talking heads keep talking. They are like our 12th man on the field. Everytime they talk us down, we come out swinging. I only get nervous when they say we are going to win!

Also i think we may haved missed an article for david reed for 2012 all of us had him dead to rights cut when hes came of injury he is slowly working his way back into the line up in our crowded reciving corp and contributing on special teams should he b our comeback p.o.y?

Ima say it now....we lose this game if our rushing attempts as a team are under 30, no excuses... look at the patriots VS dolphins game, patriots had 36 passing attempts (all tom Brady) and 38 rushing attempts. They won 28-0 %u2026..go look at the Viking VS Packers game...Vikings had 35 rushing attempts(34 all A.P.) and

I'll say it now....we lose this game if our rushing attempts as a team are under 30, no excuses... look at the patriots VS dolphins game, patriots had 36 passing attempts (all tom Brady) and 38 rushing attempts. They won 28-0 …..go look at the Viking VS Packers game...Vikings had 35+ rushing attempts(34 all A.P.) and <35 passing attempts) Vikes win 37-34…. the redskins and cowboys game especially....RG3 had 18 passing attempts while the rushing had 40+ rushing attempts(A.Morris carried 33 of those for 200) they won cowboys 28-18…..Now to the flip side…. Dolphins passing attempts were 35 and rushing attempts were <20 …..The packers had 40 passing attempts (all Rodgers) and 15 rushing attempts….the cowboys had 35+ passing attempts and <25 (Demarco Murray had 17) rushing attempts…..all big games… all playoff teams with the exception of cowboys but in all reality this was a playoff game for them because the win, their alive for the super bowl …preferably I would chose to give rice 30 attempts and give pierce 20-25 for a total of 50+….look at teams who run it that much…. Usually they have very high success rate at winning… look at shanahan with the broncos when he got there with elway and brought Terrell Davis, he won back to back rings… He’s doing the same thing but with two rookies…rookie QB and Rookie RB…. And same goes for elway with manning and his running game with our ex raven backup Mcgahee with Moreno to compliment…don’t forget their top five defense the gets immense pressure on QB’s… we have all those tools but aren’t utilizing them enough and correctly… we need to play with a concept in mind that we got to keep it mixed up on defense and just push full throttle with our rushers… if not both why not all rb’s run and even some qb scrambling to dominate our opponent in aggressive fashion? Also if you look at the ravens and broncos game we lost…. Manning had 28 passing attempts while the rushers had 45 attempts….we had 40 pass attempts and <20 rushing attempts…we got beat up on the on our own turf 34-17…. to make this point even sharper dan marino was a passing legend that never allowed more rushing attempts then passing attempts and where are his rings?

The Marino mythology

Cold, Hard Football Facts for Oct 08, 2004

Myth: Marino had no running game.

Cold, Hard Football Facts: Marino joined Miami at a time when it had a reputation of being the best ground team in football. In fact, the year before Marino was drafted, the Dolphins made it all the way to the Super Bowl on the strength of a great running game and great defense.

In Marino's rookie year, 1983, the Dolphins racked up 2,150 yards on the ground. In 1984, Marino set single-season records with 48 touchdowns and 5,084 yards passing. The Dolphins still managed 1,918 rushing yards and averaged 4.0 yards per carry.

It would be disingenuous to say that the Dolphins were a great running team later in Marino's career. Of course, much of that can be attributed to too few rushing attempts and a misguided faith placed in Marino's arm.

But consider this: The New England Patriots went 17-2 and won the Super Bowl last year while averaging a woeful 3.4 yards per rushing attempt. The Dolphins averaged more than 3.4 yards per rushing attempt 14 times in Marino's 17 seasons. In other words, Marino's Dolphins ran the ball more than well enough to win Super Bowls.
