With Akers hitting a bad spell, 49ers are working out kickers. Including Cundiff.

NO! NO! NO!
John better get on the phone to Jim ASAP and warn him about Cundiff. Cundiff will ruin the second opportunity at the Super Harbaugh Bowl by costing the 49ers.

You know how John is though. I can hear him now:
"Oh you know, it's the business side. It stinks. He's a talented player and a hard worker. We just had to do what we thought was best overall for the team at that time."

Here's to hoping one of those teams win in regulation, because if not, that game could go on for a very long time. Overtime? How about double overtime? That game could also break the record for most missed field goals, sadly...

I have to deal with him again.... Come on man, don't let the SF kid suffer, let it sink in........49ers have signed Billy Cundiff who will compete with David Akers for Kicking Duties.

goodness, once you get your foot in the door there's always an opportunity for kickers lol.

Most college kickers are terrible. So many games you see teams go for fakes on 30+ yard field goals because of how unreliable the kickers are. I recall one or two fakes where a field goal would have tied the game but they faked it instead. College football is all about big plays so taking a chance works out more often than not.

If it's a Super Harbaugh Bowl.. with Cundiff & Tucker... I can see Billy making a 90-yarder with how PO'ed he was when before he was let go. I think he said something along the lines of -- "If they don't want me here, I'll just take my services elsewhere."
It wasn't what he said, just the way he said it.
He'll blast the 90 yarder, but still miss 5 from 40 and under

I just can't believe they signed Cundiff for their playoff run though.
