1. Ithink some starters should be rested
2. We need Ray to have big games from tomorrow til' the SuperBowl
3. Like Ray the offense needs to stay hot until' the superbowl.. It starts with the OL

Starters need to reach their milestones as quickly as possible and then ride the bench. Back-ups should play the second half. I don't see any reason for us to kill ourselves trying to win a meaningless ballgame, but our starters should play at least a half.

Reaching a milestone sounds great, but what if a starter or even two goes down and gets injured? I recommend not playing the what-if game, and rest players for the playoffs.

Dont try to make the bungles look to bad, so just let Joe play with the "Next Man Ups" and let them get some snaps! Pierce, Allen, yes I said Allen, Doss, Williams, Thompson etc! "Conceited Im Not but Convinced I Am"! Caldwell got me PUMPED!

Approach the game as a last preseason contest. If past is precedence then the Raven's should come out smoking, as they did in their first game against the Bengals this year.Might be wishful thinking but it's worth a try.

Come out guns-a-blazing and grab an early big lead ...

Then rest everyone and put in 2nd & 3rd string players
for clean-up duty to get some real live playing time
against the opposing starters!

Just win baby!

I really couldn't care less what the Ravens do, as far as resting, winning, etc tomorrow. Hope they win,but being as healthy as possible and in the best position to advance in the Playoffs is all that matters, in my opinion. They'll do what's best for the team. What I hope for, is first, a win. Second, that we do get to have some backups see some game action, especially Taylor. If Flacco ever goes down (hope never), Taylor should have some game experience. It's invaluable. We've been beat by a couple backup QB's this year. I hope if the need ever arises for Taylor, he'd be ready. Plus, we'd get to see if he is capable. Only one way to find out....

Wish we could have picked up Burfict. Upshaw has been very quiet lately.

Won to play. Play to win. On behalf of Cincinnati Bengals fans everywhere, we welcome the AFC North Champion Baltimore Ravens to our sold-out house at Paul Brown Stadium. Let the game begin!

The Headline: 'Focused On Finishing Strong.' I say the most favorable match-up for us is if we lose to Cincy, this week. Maybe we'll see about what kind of game it is (how it's going) this week, but Cincy would rather play Baltimore than NE. for sure, and NE would rather play Indy than Cincy. Which means, that Cincy wants us to win and NE wants us to win so we'd play Cincy - an easier game for Cincy (then vs. Pats). We should lose, then we'd have the most favoraBULL playoff path: vs. Indy. then vs. Hous. I don't think we want NE.'s path as much, which is Cincy, and then Denv., from what I've heard here. Either way, Cincy (according to the preview video) is 2nd in the league with 47 sacks. I say, welcome to NE 8 days from now, Cincy!

All week I've been concerned about the seeding, potential this and potential that. Bottom line is this:

1. We have a home playoff game and I don't care who it's against
2. We are battle tested and built for this run
3. Even though the Giants game was just one game removed from a 3 game skid, I and I'm sure most Ravens fans can feel this thing coming together
4. Can't wait for tomorrow evening to find out who our first playoff victim will be

Go Ravens !!!

should have drafted burfict and when he fell to the 6th rd we should have taken a chance on him. front office dropped the ball on that one as they have with several picks these past few seasons.

We need to win this game, decisively and early so our starters can get off the field quickly. We need to keep playing at a high level to establish and maintain a winning roll throughout the playoffs into the SB. We need to win this game because I might be there freezing my arse off taking all kinds of abuse from a bunch of drunk obnoxious bungles fans hating on my #52 RAVENS-Lewis jersey!! Hope those free tickets come through; bungles games never sell out!!

Time will tell...Pacman Jones was a good draft pick for his first season too. Let's see what a little success, fame & fortune do to him......As an undrafted rookie he can rely strictly on his talent. But I think with his very low football IQ and his laziness, he will be another sad, failed talent story over the long haul.

I was suprised the ravens didn't take a chance on him in the draft you know he's got the talent. We took a chance on a troubled CB (Jimmy smith) Why not a top 15 prospect linebacker with issues in the 7th round? Ozzie works magic with undrafted linebackers. Mclain,Ellerbee,Bart scott. Ozzie did drop the ball it's a very small risk at a 6th round pick. And at the very worst you can cut him if he's another Pacman jones gone bad.

To the conqueror worm. Idk if i'd call him stupid and lazy... Apprently he put in a ton of work to start, learn the playbook, study film, not have any huge issues. And pacman jones wasn't good the 1st year he had a ton of issues.

Remember all those Ravens fans that said Burfict is a slow bust? Look a him now, no off or on the field issues period. He could of easily been a cheap replacement for Ray Lewis in the 7th round.

i was just going to comment on Burfict lol i told ya so ,i wanted this guy more then anything ,he could ha filled in nicely when ray retired nobody will ver take Rays place But 151 tackles this year is impressive ,i think Rays best was 155 if im correct as a seasons best ,but dont let tackles fool you it can mean u get beat alot in the run game also and for all i know because i dont watch the Bengals he can have alot of non solo tackles ,but from what i have seen of him in college and a few games this year hes the real deal.

If Pacman Jones can stay out of jail, he may positively develop as a team player along with the whole Bengals team. These young Bengals will remain one of, if not the most dangerous wildcard team in the whole AFC and a lot of fun to watch. The sooner Cincinnati faces the Patriots and Broncos, the sooner Andy Dalton gets the experience he needs to take Bengals football to the next level. In the meantime, I look forward to fireworks, like Week 10 against the Giants, Week 16 against the Steelers and today, against the Ravens who, even though they are the AFC Champs, look forward to sharing a 10-6 record with the Bengals if they lose. That's why the Ravens need to win and why the Bengals will play to win.

Looks like a Bengals fan on the site. The Bengals do have some potent weapons but so do the Ravens. Don't look for the Ravens to lose this game even though we may rest some starters. It will be a tough game on both sides of the ball. Go Ravens.

For Bengals and Ravens fans who are intellectually honest, we know deep down inside that this game could go either way. Unfortunately for Baltimore, there are reasons why NFL.com ranks Bengals #8 and Ravens #10, not the least of which is because the Bengals continue to find ways to win. That said, I believe that this is a game that will be won by the team that wants it more.

Lol on the Predator helmet. Nice Avatar. Go beat Denver for us, ok? Prove that #8 seed by coming to M&T so we can " Dutch" the Bengal-Pred.

Finish strong? Yep for the first 45 minutes or so, just like the Bungles will do.

We can win this game anyway. Go Ravens.

Hey Ravenous-D, NEWSFLASH: the Ravens and Bengals are not top tier teams this year and we're running out of time to find out if they'll improve. Dalton may play another 2 or 3 years before he achieves Peyton Manning's poise and pause and Flacco is, well Flacco. Hell, Dalton doesn't know how to QB out of the shotgun yet. That said, trust me when I say this -- there isn't enough fan smack talk in the world that will improve either of our teams' chances of beating the Broncos. Or the Patriots. Or the Texans. Maybe even the Colts.

Ray had 184 in 1997-8 and 139 in 2009-10. But 155 is awesome. Vontaze did step up. Keep up those choices and Oz may hire you!

That trophy is waiting yall.

I agree with finishing strong but I wouldn't go all out and put guys we'll need next week at risk!

Answer - give the "regulars" (whatever that means on Defense this year) a few reps, maybe until the Half, then, in the 2nd Half, infuse the kids that have been "hauling the logs" while guys got well!

"Finishing strong" can also mean getting reserves up to speed ya know!

sctaaw, I didn't come here to troll. Truth is, if my some miracle the Ravens make it to the Superbowl, I'll be rooting for your AFC Conference Champs to beat the NFC Champs on a 90" diagonal screen in my living room. Like every other year. Speaking of truth, I thoroughly enjoy watching Ray Rice run - the man is an artist, plain and simple.

This game will be interesting... Ravens need to finish strong and get momentum heading into the play-offs. We'll need to pull a lead in the first half. Meaning we need to score quick and often. Then run the clock in the forth Q and then rest a few guys.

BMore, somebody paid for those tickets you got, if you really did get them. Cincinnati fans and others have been known to buy tickets they didn't use just so they could watch the game on TV in Cincinnati. T-minus 3 hours.

Ray Rice will be inactive today.

I still think they should rest some others today to be ready for the playoffs, like Birk.

Mystigo,

I suspect there will be plenty more who rest. I don't imagine Yanda or Ngata playing at all, and Birk would certainly qualify as a candidate to sit also. I'm not banking on Boldin playing either.

If we are missing our C and RG, I would bet a large sum of money that Flacco doesn't play after halftime.

Enough with the Vontaze Burfict crap. He's not that good.

Ray Lewis, Dannel Ellerbe, and Jameel McClain are all much better MLBs than Burfict, and the only reason we are even talking about him is because it took a perfect storm of injuries for his name to even be brought up. Hell, it took an injury to a Cincy MLB for Burfict to even get on the field.

I'd bet a large sum of money that he is out of the league in 3-4 years.
