Manoeuvrability in this draft

Also have the option of making a real bold move. Our 1st 2nd 3rd 4th and move way up in the first round. And still have a third and 4th round pick, just really lose a second but you could move up and get a potential legit left tackle, or Hankins for nose, teo for ilb, heck even one of the top pass rushers if Kruger goes.

depends on Grubbs, he got a decent sized contract, only issues are no pro bowl or playoffs for him so that hurts usI don't think we will get a third. It would be nice though.

The problems with this is price. To get one of these guys, youd likely have to move up to the top 10, more likely the top 5. Those teams arent gonna be willing to move down to the back of round 1 for what you offered when Atlanta and other teams before them set the precedent of basically giving up your entire draft to move into the top 5 despite the difference in talent between the drafts. If we can get a third and fourth comp pick, that gives us great manoeuvrability. We can use our original third and fourth to move up in the first, or trade back in the first to second then use them to get a third 2nd round pick and three potential day 1 starters.

I could see a third given we lost Grubbs, but I have heard anything great about him in NO so I wonder if we wont just get a 4th for him. JJ and Redding will probably net us a 5th.A third and fourth comp. pick would be sweet. The team seemingly lost far more players to free agency than they brought in this past off-season.

Does the Pro Bowl actually come in to the decision making process for compensatory picks?
If it does it's utterly ludicrous. Jeff Saturday was voted to the Pro Bowl despite being TERRIBLE all year before getting benched for a guy named Evan Dietrich-Smith. Anything where there's fan input should be automatically discarded. There are just far too many uninformed fans for that to actually have an impact.
#7 Overall - Dion Jordan, OLB, Oregon
#38 Overall - Johnthan Banks, CB, Mississippi State
#94 Overall - Corey Lemonier, OLB, Auburn
#113 Overall - E.J. Manuel, QB, FSU
#144 Overall - Joseph Randle, RB, OSU
#178 Overall - Jordan Mills, OT/G, Louisiana Tech
#218 Overall - Greg Reid, CB, FSU
#224 Overall - Knile Davis, RB, Arkansas

Regarding Grubbs, at least he's on track to start every game for the Saints. J.J. and Redding will likely make their 14th and 15th starts respectively tomorrow as well. Zibby has also started 11 games.

1 2 3 4 would get you up into the top 15 easily. Won't get u up into top 5 which is why I didn't mention star or someone like Luke Jo. Who will be top 5 picks. The problems with this is price. I dont think we will get a 3rd round comp pick either, actually I think there is no way we get a 3rd rounder. That is the highest comp pick awarded and is for guys like Julius Peppers or Mario Williams who sign massive contracts. Grubbs wasnt even the top OG that moved in free agency so their is virtually no chance we get a 3rd rounder. I think a 4th is likely, with potentially 3 more comp picks for JJ, Redding, Zibi, and maybe Nakamura. Most likely we end up with a 4th, 5th and 6th.

Unless if Oz wants to give up picks from next years draft we ain't getting into the top 5. Maybe top ten.... But this draft has loads of talent at every position cept QB and RB. I'd like to trade into the top 15, but it is not Ozzie's style. UNLESS a guy like Jarvis Jones or Star fall (which they won't), Oz will not trade into the top 10. But if an Anthony Barr is there in the top 15, he might trade up...1 2 3 4 would get you up into the top 15 easily. Won't get u up into top 5 which is why I didn't mention star or someone like Luke Jo. Who will be top 5 picks.
But consider that if we give up four picks we give up four players. We might let a lot of people go this offseason. I do not think that Oz wants to be risky unless if Jones falls. We are going to lose a lot of players this offseason. I personally would rather play it safe.... Now I will leave.....

Just an example.... Couldn't think of a LB better. Plus I'm watching UCLA BB....... Ucla fever.Barr is returning for his senior year.
Barr is going to be a top 5 pick next year.....
But unless Jarvis Jones begins to fall, no way in hell we trade up that high

I tend to agree, although there is a chance Jones falls due to his medical.

I see no problem with giving a first, second, and fourth to move up to the top 16 if we can replace the 4th where all we lose is the 2nd. Question is whether a team would be willing to do that. Baltimore could be as high as #23-24 if they lose in the layoffs right? (I hope that doesn't happen btw). But moving up 10 spots.. Someone might take a 2nd and 4th to move down roughly 10 spots. Players in that range would be Te'o, Lewan, Hankins, Milliner... One of those may fall. I'd love any of those.. With emphasis on Te'o Hankins and Lewan.
Lewan!

You have to find someone thats willing to move down and outside of maybe the top 3 I dont see anyone that would especially want to move down.I dont see the benefit of trading our whole draft at this point, but moving up to snag a top OT is interesting if all it takes is a 2nd.
