Ready for some Pre-season action. Looking at Rice and Flacco getting maybe a couple series if that. Cant wait to see how Tyrod steps in for the rest of the 50minutes. Will be fun watching the 2nd stringers get some playing time. Looking forward to seeing Grad at center.

If we f up against indy there will be plenty calling for harbs head if he sits pretty much the whole offense. We needed to build more momentum, I really hope joe gets three quarters.

nobody will ask for Harbs' head if we lose this one... we opted to rest Yanda and Q... best for the playoffs run

Not going to happen. This game will be treated as final pre-season tune up. Doubt Rice or Flacco will be in for more than a quarter.

Yea cause they have slight knocks. I'm saying if we totally come out flat and Indy beat us because we didnt try to build up any momentum by resting our starters then people will.

He should be playing the game with all the starters that don't have a knock like yanda and boldin do.
which I think is a mistake, it's not like we are coming in hot, we have one win in four, we need to carry on building up momentum

I really wanted to see Boldin hit 1,000 yards, but having him healthy for the playoffs is more important.

Momentum is a good thing. Treating this like a bye week, and resting your injured starters - great thing. (Since Q and Yanda are ruled out) No need to take a chance and get Joe or Rice injured because a back-up failed to make a block. Let them play a series or two and get them out healthy.

This sounds like what Caldwell did a few years ago not going for 16-0 with Indy. I know we're not there, but it will be interesting if to see if it bodes well for us or not. I hope the younger guys show up and this gives them experience to build depth.

Q isn't going to see the field. as much as i want to win this game, that's a good decision.

but at that same time, i wish the starters would go all out for at least a half. so far, we have no experience with this Caldwell offense on the road, and the divisionals aren't the time to start experimenting.

Should I change my pick to the Bengals
Depends on how comfort you are with Tyrod and 2nd stringers chances against the Bengals?

I still think the Ravens need to show they can win on the road heading into the playoffs. Let's win!

Momentum is a joke. No such thing, at least not game to game.

Why? Each game is its own entity. The team prepares each week for its next opponent. What happened the week before has no bearing. The only thing that matters is being healthy.

I disagree. If you think emotion is a factor in the game (and really we as humans are all mainly emotional beings) then emotional momentum exists. It has been proven that if you feel like you can win, your odds of winning go up (flow psychology).

You missed my first post. I think momentum in game exists but from week to week is not really a factor.

Okay. I just thought you were kind of contradicting yourself there for a second.

I think the momentum of winning can carry on from one game to the next. But the momentum between players -- different scheme, different opponent, different environment -- not carrying over, that I can agree with. ;)

In this case, since this is a garbage game; I don't think the idea of losing it will matter much to us come time to play the Colts.
