I've always felt the same. If he is "Superman" and the only thing that can stop him is kryptonite which is extremely rare now in his "reality" or "universe" there is no real sense of adversity with him at least to me. No matter what plot Lex Luthor, Brainiac, Mongul, or any of his antagonists come up with, he's going to ultimately triumph. It could be argued that most comic heroes will always end up "winning" but we've seen that hasn't been the case with plenty of other heroes in the last decade or so. The current Spider-Man continuity in comics is a great example of this.

Its funny because Superman is one of my best friend's comic characters and we've had this debate before. His usual reply is "because he's SUPERman dude!" Boring to me but to each their own.

Is Ultimate Spider-Man the one where he is leading a team with Power Man/Luke Cage, Iron Fist and a couple of others for SHIELD? Spidey and all of his enemies are some of my favorites but there are so darn many Spidey cartoons I can't remember which is which, haha.

Yeah I'd sort of heard the same about it preliminarily. Still interested in renting it sometime though. Nolan North who voices him in Marvel Ultimate Alliance voices him again in this game and that is almost enough for me to rent ot itself as he and Steve Blum are two of my favorite voice actors.

As far as Ultimate Spider-Man, I've watched a few episodes on Netflix. Its not bad but you can definitely tell it has been "kidified" haha. I did really enjoy a couple of episodes at the end of a season where they introduced Ultimate Green Goblin and Ultimate Venom, would have beem cooler if they'd left Harry as Venom to have a cool father/son villain tandem. I'm a sucker for the Green Goblin though, one of my 5 favorite Marvel characters.

I'm sure he does but I can't stand his character. There's nothing anyone can say here to make me feel differently. Unless Superman sacrifices himself to save the world and permanently dies I'll never like him and even then I might still hate him for all the other boring and bland character I've seen from him.

I know he has fans. I'll never mock them for liking him I just can't stand the guy. My hatred for him has probably reached an irrational level now. Lol

Beyond a number of Gundam titles and Dragon Ball, Slam Dunk is probably my favorite manga ever. I stumbled on a "classic" in Black Blizzard recently and it was a pleasant surprise. Looking to get into Kuroko's Basketball at some point.

Looks like there's going to be an X-Force TV show within the next few years.

 

Almost finished Book 2 of The Spirit. First time reading a title involving the character and I really liked it. Will definitely look into the other 4 books at some point.

My question is how can they do anything with Ultron without dealing with Ant-Man first. I was under the impression that Ant-man won't be ready until Phase Three....

 

Oh well...guess I'll have to wait and find out just like everyone else.

 

And they've released GoTG concept art. I'm really digging their concept for Drax. Batista looks good.

They can always introduce Ant-Man as Henry Pym first before he gets his abilities. It'll get the audience introduced to character before the Ant-Man movie.

On another note, read another quality Punisher title, Punisher MAX Vol. 10: Valley Forget, Valley Forge. I don't think I've read a bad Punisher MAX volume yet.
