Have you read the Heroes for Hire [i]Civil War[/i] novel? I took it out of the library a while ago but just couldn't find time to read it. Once I find a job, I'll definitely check out a Deadpool/Cable, Dr.Strange and Iron Fist title or two. Punisher and early Avengers are awesome.

Haven't been able to get my hands on it. I figured the time arc of The Immortal Iron Fist happens some time after the Civil War because Luke mentions two or three times throughout that he's a fugitive.

I was talking to the night crew over at Subway Saturday night....two 20-something guys.....showed them my Deadpool/Cable phone wallpaper and they asked me who my favorite was out of the two.

I said, "Cable by a millimeter." They were all for Deadpool and his katana, etc.

All I said to them before I went back to my counter was, "Yeah but Cable is a time traveler."

Good to know. Have you checked out [i]Luke Cage's Noir[/i] before?

I'd go with Cable every time. I fully understand Deadpool's appeal but Cable is simply the man. I still remember his appearances in the 90s cartoon, and even though it's another medium entirely, he's a beast in the [i]Marvel vs. Capcom[/i] video game series.

I saw Mackie in [i]The Hurt Locker.[/i] He is going to make a fabulous Falcon.

Really could you see anyone but GSP playing Batroc? He's got the skills and the build....he's French Canadian...The casting is great, imo.

apparently Jean Claude Van Damme wants to be in Avengers 2.....and by gods the article's author actually suggested he play Iron Fist. *shudder*

 

I was absolutely livid...my reponse: "No I do NOT want JCVD anywhere NEAR my beloved Iron Fist for even ONE reason alone...he is 25 years TOO OLD to portray Danny Rand. 2) Danny Rand is American and does not have a Belgian accent. 3) JCVD couldn't act his way out of a wet paper sack."

 

'Nuff said. How dare anyone even think it, let alone suggest it.
