Finished up [i]Iron Man: Civil War[/i] today. It was mostly reflection and a lot of talking but still pretty enjoyable. Moving on to the X-Men issue.

Silly Saturday: funny bit of conversation between me and my fiance a few minutes ago.

I briefly mentioned the JLA movie. Neither of us are interested in seeing it (hey it's DC *S*) but we do hope it's well-cast.

Me: There are rumors about that Laurence Fishburne might be cast as the Martian.

Him: Oh yeah I can see Fishburne doing a good Marvin.

Me: *blinkblink* Hon did you just call the Martian Manhunter Marvin the Martian???

I am STILL laughing myself into near hyperventilation!!!

Outside of Avengers or team-up titles, I haven't seen much of Ant-Man or Strange but I'm looking forward to those titles. I'd love to see Luke Cage or Black Panther get some love in "Phase Three" as well.

Ant-Man is going to be directed by the dude who directed Shaun of the Dead.

And Dr. Strange is one of my odd-ball favorites. Luke Cage and Iron Fist the Heroes for Hire in the same film would be totally badass.

Ought to be interesting to see how Phase Three plays out. Phase Two looks to be pretty awesome in its own right.

I'm just now catching up on the newer ones. I hope they do his movie justice now that he's back at Marvel Studios unlike the Ben Affleck one. Yuck.

Yeah I agree they definitely need to reboot Daredevil. I'm hearing rumors that they're going to reboot The Fantastic Four....which DEFINITELY needs to be done!

Even if people believed the details of a crazy vigilante's journal published in a right-wing newspaper, what would they do? Mr.Manhattan gave up on society and likely wouldn't return. I just don't think a sequel would work.

I definitely want to check out [i]Before Watchmen[/i] at some point though.

The creators avoided any possible backlash by having Ben Kingsley play him. Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige explained the changes they've made to the character as well:

Michael Jai White, Derek Luke, Morris Chestnut, Terry Crews, Tyrese and Henry Simmons all either have the physique or could put on the necessary muscle to be a convincing Cage. And they can act. I'd go crazy if Luke got the part; he's one of my favourite actors.

Even more choices for Rand. Garrett Hedlund and Jensen Ackles would be solid candidates.

Sure it's already been talked about, but the only comics I read anymore are The Walking Dead comics by the Volume. Back in the day I was into Lobo and Spawn. My cousin let me borrow the first 13 or 14 volumes of The Walking Dead after the first season aired on AMC. I'm wondering how much longer they can drag it on.

My boys like Smosh as well. I got a real laugh from those clowns about Siri. And Dubstep.

As for comics, I am tend to watch more animation than reading actual comic books, but I enjoy certain DC and Marvel Characters.
