"Being a geek is all about being honest about what you enjoy and not being afraid to demonstrate that affection. It means never having to play it cool about how much you like something. It’s basically a license to proudly emote on a somewhat childish level rather than behave like a supposed adult. Being a geek is extremely liberating.”--Simon Pegg

Anything Neil Gaiman touches is GOLD. Sandman has to be one of the coolest comics I read in my youth.

Sorry. I fell out of like with DC when they started ret-conning most of their characters. Me and my fiance went to see The hobbit and saw a preview for the new Superman movie....we looked at each other and just shook our heads 'no' at the same time.

Das okay. You don't have to share. Even if he writes for DC, he's cool! :D

Guess this if off topic, but how was The Hobbit?

As a Tolkien purist, it had a lot of little things that annoyed the crank out of me. Overall good, but not something I want to see in the theater again unless I need another Dwarf fix.

Now back on topic! :D

He wrote a novel recently. Have you read "American Gods"?

Jay Z will look at you like it's gravy

Hey man, in his defense it's a serious issue.  poe is a noble guardian looking out for us all.

Could you at least tell us what the comic is? A huge one like Batman, or something indy?

At least DC had the brass to kill off their bread-and-butter superheroes. Albeit a huge FAIL on the Batman side of things. His father? Really? What a way to disappoint.

And when was the last time that a superhero stayed dead?

Marvel is great and exciting all around, but DC doesn't have much to offer besides Batman.

or as Matt calls it "The Holy Book of Geek". :D

Based on what I've seen of his work, I believe that Alex Ross is a very good artist - one who ranks with a number of comic creators and artists.

This reminds me, I must look up another edition of "Spirit of Truth" on ebay, as I have a fondness for Wonder Woman.

I cannot post the video here due to it's "questionable content", but if you want to go out of your way to look it up on YouTube: Smosh if superheroes were real

I personally can't stand these morons, but my kids think they're funny.. Every once in a while, they lay a good egg.
