Reid could get Pat Shurmur, Brad Childress, and Juan Castillo back with him in Arizona. Another possibility out there is whole defensive staff staying.

Cardinals are very close to agreement with Andy Reid.

They think Reid is an upgrade over Whisenhunt? That's crazy. That means Vick in Arizona and the greatest QB battle ever will go from Philly to Arizona. Kolb vs Vick II. Heckert is a solid choice for Cardinals GM though, he was doing a good job with Cleveland before they once again started over.

Syracuse's Doug Marrone is now emerging as a hot name in the coaching search, specifically for the Philadelphia Eagles. Marrone is now atop the list of college coaches joining Bill O'Brien and Chip Kelly as potential replacements for Andy Reid.

I like what Heckert was doing other than the Weeden pick but I heard that was more if Holmgren then Heckert.

That's why I would agree with Heckert being the GM, it would have been even better if they kept Whisenhunt and got Heckert to continue putting a solid team around Whiz. I have also been hearing Juan Castillo, Brad Childress and Pat Shumur could follow Andy Reid to Arizona.

It would be foolish to bring Juan Castillo with him, that defense is the reason he was fired. If Andy was smart he'd keep the defensive staff in place and let them run the 3-4, like that team is built to do. Bringing Pat Shurmur to be his OC is a smart move though. As long as they draft an LT with that first pick, Reid might be able to get something out of Kolb.

Unless he puts Juan back at OL Coach, which I can see as a real possibility. Brad Childress as QB Coach and Shumur as OC.

Former Browns GM Tom Heckert could prevent Andy Reid from signing if Reid insists that him and Heckert are a package deal.
According to Howard Eskin of FOX 29 and WIP radio, Andy Reid's hiring in Arizona could hit a snag if he insists on bringing along ex-Browns GM Tom Heckert in a package deal.
http://www.rotoworld...ring-in-arizona

This would be a blessing in disguise for the Cardinals who could get a better Head Coach than Reid.

Defensive Coordinator Ray Horton will get a second interview with the Arizona Cardinals for the Head Coaching job.

Meanwhile Andy Reid will meet with the team on Wednesday.

The Browns staff interviewed Ray Horton on Tuesday but are mostly there to lure Chip Kelly, who is playing in the Fiesta Bowl in Arizona, to Cleveland. So most likely they interviewed Horton to cover themselves for the rooney rule.

Jets will interview Tom Heckert for vacant GM job.

Ken Whisenhunt should not be on any teams possible candidates list. He has proven that when things go bad he can't fix it. For teams like the Bills and Browns they need to look at coaches who have shown that they can bring a struggling team and make them relevant. Look at Chip Kelly who changed not just Oregon Football but college football as a whole. Or even Doug Marrone who brought Syracuse from the cellar of the big east to a share of the big east title in just a few short years.

Chip Kelly as three head coaching interviews set up that will take place over the weekend. The Browns and Eagles we all know are pursuing Kelly, but the Buffalo Bills have also scheduled an interview with Kelly to try to get him to be their Head Coach.

PFT is reporting that the Bears are interviewing Saints OC Pete Carmichael for their Head Coaching Job.

I'd rather coach for Oregon than any of those teams (Philly is a good organization with a horrid fanbase, the other teams are just bad). If I had to choose, I'd choose Philly. My point is, Kelly can afford to be picky. People that coach the Bills and the Browns can't afford to be picky.

Well the Cardinals were "95%" close to a deal with Reid as well and that didn't happen. I'll wait for the official announcement.

I think Reid & the Chiefs would be a good fit. Even if he doesn't go there, I still think the Chiefs can be a playoff team if they find an above average QB.

I think they'll be this years Vikings.

But if Reid decides to bring Vick with him then nevermind, forget it.

Whats interesting is, the Chiefs play @ Philly next year, so get ready to hear that.

Reid at the cheifs would be ideal. It would be the sam situation that he had in philly. However people would complain if charles doesnt get 20 carries, however, Reid's passing heavy attack would blow running lanes clear for the already amazing average of Jamaal's ypc.

I dont mind Vick going to KC. What I minded was him getting 2 100 million dollar contracts in one lifetime without being an all time great. I do think Vick could succeed in KC because the o line can block for an extended peiod of time, however, given what Reid wants to turn Vick into idk if he will succeed under Reid.

Cheifs desperately need a cornerback to replace Carr., That was a much bigger loss than anticipated. They also need some help at linebacker. I personally find them set at d line but you could make the arguement that Poe is a project.

KCs OL isn't good at all. Vick turns it over way to much, granted his o-line in Philly stunk this year, KC's wouldn't be much better.

Agree though, the Chiefs need alot though at few positions. QB, OL, CBs. - Gonna need a WR after Bowe leaves too.

Kc has the most important pieces needed for a good o line and given how deep this draft is, its not a stretch to say they could fix it easily. Brandon Albert would likely need to be franchised and I expect him to be.

I still think CB is the biggest need for the cheifs.l The cheifs could run block well enough to give J charles his best season to date.

Vick turns it over a lot because Reid tried to make him into something he's not, a pure pocket passer. If Vick gets away from Reid, I wouldnt be surprised if he turns it around.

The Chiefs ran a 3-4 under Crennel, and I wonder if they will go to a 4-3 with Reid, that would make for some interesting players available possibly for trade who don't fit a 4-3 defense.

Maybe. I wonder if Poe would do better in the 4-3. So far he's looked like a bust. Then they got him, Hali,Jackson, Dorsey and Houston. I don't know. Reid might try it out but I think the 3-4 might stay.

Per Jason La Canfora, a deal is now "imminent" between the Chiefs and Andy Reid and could be finalized tonight. Jason also added that Reid will not interview with the Cardinals or Chargers.
