Week 11: Baltimore Ravens At New York Giants
Well, the good/bad news is, the Chargers/Steelers game is next.

If the Steelers lose, then the outcome of this game as it pertains to the AFC North title race is negated.

But, it would've been better to have beaten New York AND had Pittsburgh lose, to take sole possession of first place.

We knew games like this would happen, and it was unrealistic to expect the winning streak to continue so handily against the defending Super Bowl Champions. If there's ever such a thing as a "good loss," it's far better to lose to the champs than to lose to a team you're expected to beat.

It'd be a lie to say we were "expected" to beat the Giants. We were, however, expected by some to at least make the game more competitive. Yes, there was a window of opportunity in the second half, but unfortunately, it all fell apart after an unfortunate tipped pass for an INT.

But, that's how the breaks go, and there's still more football to play. With a 6-4 record, hope isn't lost for the immediate future.

If the Ravens can overcome yet another obstacle, then maybe they do deserve a shot at the postseason. But we'll have to wait and see in the coming weeks how they respond.
I agree, the thing is We beat, throttle teams we should beat, and we've lost to great teams, outside of Indy, who looks to be a playoff contender now we have lost to : Tenn 9-0, Pitt, 6-3 and NYG 9-1.

Unfortunately we have a tough schedule ahead of us, if we can win 4 games, we may make the playoffs.

I am looking forward to the end of this year because I highly doubt they will look this bad again.

I don't think we are out. I think we can merit getting into the post season. But I am a bit worried about our D. An early bye week, lots of injuries, a demoralizing loss. The bright hope is that our offense will continue to get better. Flacco's got some great poise going on right now. We just need to start clicking on all cylinders.

Good teams beat the teams they should beat. Great teams beat the teams they're not expected to beat.

That's what separates the cream of the crop; we all know the Ravens aren't there yet, and this game proved it.

Will they be there in the near-future? We'll find out, depending on how they respond. It's easy to collapse after having lost in a blowout, but the good teams rebound and find a way to learn from the loss.

I never thought I'd ever be worried about the defense (exception being last season with the injury bug), but I'm actually admitting to myself today how vulnerable the defense really can be.

I just think that the Defense was spoiled, because of the offense the last couple of weeks. muhaha, but thats just me...

I'm sure it will take a couple of days until the D realizes that they need to kick their A game again against the Eagles.

At least Coughlin let us keep our record of not having a single 100 yard rusher in a game...Maybe he let us have it being a smartbutt, even though they could've beat our streak easy this week.
I just want all our players to be healthy for one season.
Now you're just asking too much, lol...
I feel your pain though; injuries are part of a game that every team has to deal with, but it seems that every year we lose multiple key players.
And this year has been especially bad; we have what, 16 players on IR?? That's real tough, especially when it's guys like Chris McAllister and Dawan Landry that we're missing.

I'd much rather they had broken that streak. Maybe then our defensive players would stop beating their chest and come out and play a complete game.

We must force turnovers against Philly.

Today, we had more than we forced and that is clearly a big no-no, if you know our record in games where we trail in the turnover battle.

I see that Donavan threw a slew of INTs today and that is encouraging to a group of guys who would love to pick off a few.
