I dont want to see anymore playoff threads. This team is not going to the playoffs, playing like this on the big stage.
Wait until we win two more in a row. Then it's superbowl and dynasty talk again.
The idea that we still haven't beaten a winning team, proves point again today. How many teams do we have left that have losing records?
2, 8-8 is probable. Which was probably our ceiling coming into the season.

I thought we would play better on run defense, but Jacobs is a bruiser!!! Best back we have faced to this point.

With all the Flacco-Ryan Rookie sensation talk from last week, we may get the talking heads talking about how they are not NFL-ready yet. Flacco made some critical mistakes in this game, but alot of that had to do with the Defending Super Bowl Champs' D.

I am so mad at myself. I let them get me sucked into all the playoff talk knowing good and well that it probably wasnt realistic.

I thought we'd do well against a bigger back. I think their OL is just dominant in the run game. Because they had all three wheels moving.
I'm worried that all the giants posters will be back on the boards tommorrow. And all our posters on here that were talking so much smack won't show up, and us regulars will take the blunt end of it.
I'll be the first to give NYG the credit they're due...
I predicted a 27-20 Baltimore win (oops)

But, there are some good things to take away from this game. I'm thrilled at how Flacco played against a world class defense...in my mind, he showed that he is the real deal, and has a brilliant future ahead of him. I also think we played a lot better than the score indicates....there were a lot of fluke plays that contributed to our loss (the INT that bounced off Mason's head and got ran back for a TD, a blocked field goal that got returned to our 33, a pick by Fabian that got called back because of a penalty). Not making excuses, because the bottom line is we lost, and although they were fluke plays, we could have prevented them from occuring; but I'm just saying that this game could easily have turned out a lot differently.

Jacobs isnt the only guy that gashed us today.

Well, fans like to hope, I know I do, but I do know this was a down year coming into the season...

8-8 if you told many ravens fans preseason we'd go 8-8, I bet 85% of us would be happy bc a down year was expected, and after 5-11, 8-8 looks mighty fine. Although, being 6-3 you would like to end up a lil better then 8-8 we will see how they respond to this defeat come next week at home vs philly

That hurts our Wild Card chances.
Yep, they own the tie-breaker over us like the Steelers do!!!

I've stopped predicting games back in week 3. I'm not a big fan of putting my foot in my mouth.

There were some positive, but a lot of negatives as well. The Giants definitley played like superbowl champs/contenders.

Ya know, it was a good game despite the disappointment. The ravens really did work hard and as much as they could frustrate me, I still look forward to the next game. They actually did decent against a superbowl caliber team, and it was much better than they did against the Titans.

I completely disagree. He ran when he had to for first downs, faced the pressure of the Giants well and only threw one interception. (the second was on Mason). What more do you want? McNabb is in the process of throwing 3 interceptions! All QBs go through bad plays, but he still led the team all day, did not make stupid plays and is really composed. Flacco is THE BEST QB we have ever had in Baltimore. Ever!

Well the season is far from over. Who knows what can happen. But yes they have far exceeded my expectations. I'm all for hope, but when people start spewing out expectations way over our abilities, it's hard to have conversations.

Well, the good/bad news is, the Chargers/Steelers game is next.

If the Steelers lose, then the outcome of this game as it pertains to the AFC North title race is negated.

But, it would've been better to have beaten New York AND had Pittsburgh lose, to take sole possession of first place.

We knew games like this would happen, and it was unrealistic to expect the winning streak to continue so handily against the defending Super Bowl Champions. If there's ever such a thing as a "good loss," it's far better to lose to the champs than to lose to a team you're expected to beat.

It'd be a lie to say we were "expected" to beat the Giants. We were, however, expected by some to at least make the game more competitive. Yes, there was a window of opportunity in the second half, but unfortunately, it all fell apart after an unfortunate tipped pass for an INT.

But, that's how the breaks go, and there's still more football to play. With a 6-4 record, hope isn't lost for the immediate future.

If the Ravens can overcome yet another obstacle, then maybe they do deserve a shot at the postseason. But we'll have to wait and see in the coming weeks how they respond.

Honestly, if they lost every game from here on out, I'd be happy as long as they made a game of it. They cant even do that.

Get ready for the Eagles, Maybe we will pull that one off.
I fully expect to beat the Eagles. We are at home, they are falling off their early season strengths and they are stuggling all day against Cincy!

Any given Sunday people..Its just a learning experience for Flacco! How many of us thought that we would be on top of the division with the Steelers anyways! Exactly, none of us. Wait until the wizard of OZ gets his hands on Flacco's weapons next year.

We are missing some big time playmakers on our D from the beginning. We will see alot of new faces next year on our D side, I guarantee.

I'm not saying the season is over, so lets cheer on the chargers now!!

The Giants better win it all now!!!

Having an 8-8 season is ok, but never a Raven goal. We should be sitting at 8-2 right now. I know it is water under the bridge now, but it still stings to know we had the AFC North leaders beat on their own field and the Undefeated Titans beat and we did like Dennis Green's Cards and let them off the hook.

Anyway, all is not lost as for our chances to get to a playoff berth. We must utilize our personnel better. It is clear that Rice and McClain have been our most consistent choices relative to running the football. Willis is not 100% and should not have been given the bulk of the carries today. Our run defense allowed way too many yards, but they haven't faced a back like Jacobs either. Even though he got dinged up, he hit our defense in the mouth early and often. This game got out of hand and our turnovers added insult to injury--no pun intended.

It will get better Raven fans. We will only get better as we close out the regular season in these last 6 games.
