I don't mind being conservative with that opening drive, not just because it eases Flacco into the game, but the train of thought also is that, if the Giants give up yardage with conservative play-calling early, then the offense is more confident in being aggressive later.

Same here. 36 yards is a good start to a 100+ game.

If this defense can continue to pressure Manning and get inside his head, then the passing attack is out of the equation. All that'd be left is to contain the running backs.

Ironic that we'd have to worry about stopping the run...
