Can never tell when you're being serious or sarcastic... lol

hahha he's serious this time, saying that every team in the tournament has a shot... at least I think that's what he's saying

I have to disagree. Nobody would have called the Giants a contender last year, but they backed into the playoffs and won the big game. If you're in the playoffs, you are a contender.
It's not just about the record though. The difference is the Giants had a QB playing at a very high level and and an elite defensive front 7. The Giants pass-rush was scary good last year and it carried them. Cincinatti has the pass-rush but they certainly dont have the QB. I really think you need both to have success in the playoffs, or at least have an offense that is playing at an elite level which allows you to win shoot outs.

The Ravens our a different team in the playoffs. Think about how the team plays meaningful games. Against Dallas, we looked mediocre. When we played New York we were so amazing that I actually fell asleep throughout the game, and that is unheard of. Our team knows when to turn it on.

Unfortunately, we will not make the Super Bowl. The primary reason being we did not have Suggsy at 100% for nearly all the year and lost Webb for the rest of the year very early. Yes, our window closed on Cundiff's miss against NE.

Funny you say that, because we made the playoffs despite both of those injuries. It's funny how two injuries that already happened are going to prevent us from winning the Superbowl, even though we've already won without those players. Keep on being a pessimist my friend...

It will be diffcult to make the SB, however anything is possible.... Suggs has returned and Corey has looked really good. We are fine when Ray and Pollard come back

They're contenders when they show up. Being plagued with inconsistency and being unable to play on the world makes this team shaky. I believe they can go all the way, but I wouldn't be surprised if they didnt, either.

As for everyone else, it's a craps shoot. Denver is formidable, but it's only a matter of time before they're exposed. So far they're my AFC-Super Bowl favorite. New England is slow-producing as long as you can get to Brady. Houston got too hot too soon. As for the rest, they have just as much chance as anyone else. It's going to be a fantastic playoff this year.

No pessimist, dude. ...just telling it like it is. Tell me how we are going to go all the way without our best cover corner (who would have been a pro-bowler) and T-Sizzle not being able to play at 100% rushing the passer and helping stuff the run.

I don't think it's pessimistic to think that your team might not make the Superbowl based on the other opponents in the league. But as a fan, why would you root for anything else?

Other players can step up, as they've already done. We've seen that with Cary, Graham and Brown in recent weeks and the pass rush has been strong over the past several weeks.

I never want my boys to fail. I just don't think we could reach the Super Bowl with the relevant issues I mentioned.
Well... it's 1/16 for us because 4 teams have better odds courtesy of a bye week. You wouldn't say they have 1/12 odds themselves because by the time they are able to be eliminated, there'll only be 8 teams left. But yeah, any team in the playoffs could win it and I wouldn't be surprised either.

Same way we've gotten to where we are now. We beat the Patriots without Suggs, and we beat the Giants without Webb. Guys have stepped up and will continue to do so. There's no way you can tell me we are simply unable to beat New England, Indy, Houston, Cincy, and Denver. We CAN beat all of them. It's just a matter of actually showing up for those games.

The one thing we would have to do to reach the Super Bowl is as a unit, step up defesively and have Flacco play excellent in our playoff games.

I dont think they are relevant issues. Our pass-rush has gotten better and better as the season has progressed. Pees is really doing an excellent job with a banged up defense. Besides Webb, we should be close to fully healthy on D going into the playoffs. Our reserve DBs have really stepped up in the absence of Webb. Graham has emerged as a solid starting CB and with the emergence of Chykie Brown we have enough depth at CB to play with anyone. I'm more worried about our offense being able to perform consistently then our defense.
Not that I take pride in correcting simple math on an internet forum late at night (in fact, this might be my rock bottom) but just for the sake of holding a grudge, I remember our Super Bowl odds to start the offseason were 1 in 20. In fact, I made a thread about it. I like to see how wrong people are. 6 of the teams with better odds than us at that time are out of the postseason.

They're all contendors but I get what you mean.

I voted Us, ATL,HOU,DEN,NE & GB.

Even though the Texans & Falcons haven't done nothing in the playoffs recently
