jacoby jones could possibly make the pro bowl worth watching with his TD dances. i'd rather see him dance in the big one

Congrats to all the players who made the probowl roster, but respectfully they all must decline as they will be preparing for the superbowl :)

Pollard and Tucker got robbed. Congrats to all those who made it. Oh and Jacoby, man, what you talkin' about, you're taking Anthony to Hawaii? Where's your head at? You aren't going to Hawaii, you have a SB to win! lol

LOL what happened to Oher leading Pro Bowl voting for Left Tackles less than a week ago? I guess all the AFC QB's threatened to not play if Oher was on the O-Line

I am shocked Sam koch didnt make the pro-bowl.... he's the 3rd bets punter in the NFL behind Lechler,Lee (Raiders,49ers) Lechler is pushing 40 i think.... it's time a new punter ruled the AFC...

The probowl is the biggest joke in the NFL. Players need to be picked differently and the game is meaningless. Would be better off with a 11 on 11 Madden 13 matchup with the pro-bowlers controlling themselves in the game.

I don't want any Ravens to play in the Pro Bowl. If you think about it, none of the Ravens Nation wants them in Hawaii, either.

Besides, the game itself is a joke and this may be the last one played, if Goodell has his way

I think Pollard really got shafted this year. He has been one of the most physical prescences in the secondary of any team this year. By the way he plays the game is the way it is meant to be played.

Next year when K.O. and Courtney Upshaw get better (and I'm sure they will) they'll be voted to the Pro Bowl too.

One thing that bothers me i that Just because The Texans are the top seed. They have a bunch of Pro Bowl Players that dont even deserve it. When we have guys that could easily replace them

Was Cary really deserving to make the pro bowl? If you think so, you need to review tape on this man, specifically Eagles, pats, Texans, Broncos, cowboys! He has been solid but no where near pro bowl worthy.

I think having the probowl before the superbowl, therefore not having any superbowl players in the probowl is a joke. So now about 15 players that dont deserve the probowl will get to play in it.
Godell needs to put it back where it was, a week or two after the superbowl. Put all the money the teams are gonna get paid in a pot. The winners get 2/3rds of the pot. Plus several awards for best proformances. Make it worth their while to play hard.

Agreed. I've actually stopped watching the Pro Bowl for that very reason; if the people you want to really see play aren't hitting the field -- then why have it at all?

ravinmaniac...your comment was uncalled for. Flacco is our QB and whether you like him or not the comment was snide and rude to say the least.

honestly who cares who makes it. its a popularity contest for the most part. the pro bowl is awful. no one tries because they do not want to get hurt. get rid of it.

Great we have 6 Pro-Bowlers and I hope they not going to make it but to the Super Bowl Instead, Ahem, Excuse me but win or lose every Ravens is a Pro-Bowler as far as I'm concern, It's just stupid that they have the Pro-Bowl before the Super Bowl, all the pro-Bowler are mostly in the Super Bowl, Right and I hate watching the Pro-Bowl, I understand the situation about playing like flag football but football is a game of hitting, hitting, hitting, bam bam bam, smash mouth game, that's what I like to see, not some grown men playing patty cakes

Why no Justin Tucker??
Because Phil Dawson has only missed one kick and Tucker has missed two. Dawson is having a great year, but he plays for a bad team. Tucker will get his chance to shine on a much bigger stage than the Pro Bowl - Dawson won't.

Congrats guys on the tremendous honor of representing the Ravens in Hawaii but we all know the players rather be playing for that Lamar Hunt trophy instead.

Just curious ...
Does anyone actually watch the Pro Bowl anymore???
Where's the incentive to even play hard???

I like Sami's suggestion below ...
Play the ProBowl AFTER the Super Bowl;
Give the guys a real incentive to sink their teeth into and ...
Yup, they will play hard and it will be entertaining!!!

But the way it sits now ... I'd rather spend time with the kids outside playing Pop Warner than gather them in front of "the tube" to watch this lac-luster-performance ...
especially when all anyone cares about is the Super Bowl the following week.

Oh yea ... those "Pro Bowl Players" playing in the Super Bowl won't be there!
Hmmm ... here's the question for the day .....

If the original "Pro Bowl Players" who are in the SuperBowl will not be in Hawaii and "Alternates" get to take their place at the ProBowl, then isn't it fair to say that the "Originals" are no longer ProBowl Players because they have reached the "Elite Status" of being entitled "Super Bowl Players"?

Yup, I'd rather be known as a SuperBowl player than a ProBowl player, any day!!!

Great personal accolades for each,... but the Pro-Bowl has turned into a Man-beauty Pageant, almost Flag Football and not worth the time to watch!

My own opinion b/c I'd rather watch 53 Ravens win the Ring & Lombardi!

I think you need to remove the "anymore" from that question. The question is - has anyone ever bothered to watch the Pro Bowl? ;)

I certainly haven't.

LOL,... I don't think I've seen a Pro Bowl all the way through since the realignment placed it before the Super Bowl! I certainly haven't dialed it up in the last 10 years!

It used to be played after the Championship game and players actually hit hard to settle scores! That was the fun of it!

@ balfan & Mystigo_Dragon ... I hear ya!

Wouldn't it be exciting if the ProBowl actually meant something?
For example ... whoever wins would actually "host" (as in Home Team advantage) the SuperBowl the following year - if the AFC won then whomever wins the AFC Champion Game the following year would actually have the SuperBowl played on THEIR HOME FIELD!

Then ... the ProBowl would have a meaning and purpose to it!!! Just my opinion! :)

Ed Reed has been around the ball alot this year? Yeah, right, after a real pro tackled the man. He is terrible and has to go. Man got hurdled by a rookie. Joe Flacco deserves to be there more than Ed Reed. Oh that's right , they need someone with a big mouth who complains.

Joe, Koch, Oher,(maybe) Torrey, Cary, and Tucker got robbed. I know that the Pro-Bowl won't even be on the mind in January, and I know it's a sorry joke to make more money, but it sure helps our player's prestige. But then again, as much as I wanted these guys to make it (especially Joe to help with Elite QB debate) it also runs up their price. But it can also make the difference of how fast our guys get inducted into the HOF. Regardless, these are all insignificant reasons to risk player's careers playing a garbage game. Just keep it to a vote of most popular players or if they have to play at all, let them play Madden. Speaking of Madden, that's the only true aspect impacted by this game; Madden player ratings! Everyone gets level 90-99!!!
