He played 11 games this season? I thought he had been injured longer. Nonetheless, he was far from the best OLB in the NFC. Aldon Smith had 19.5 sacks, plus 1 INT, 64 tackles to Matthews' 40 and 3 forced fumbles to Matthews' 1. Matthews was propelled to the Pro Bowl because of his name.

Partially agree. Matthews has had a good year. 12 sacks in 11 games is no easy task, especially while playing injured and being schemed against. Also, he's used in coverage A LOT more than other 3-4 OLB's. His coverage is solid as well. Still don't know if he deserved making the Pro Bowl over Aldon Smith.

Told you, it's a popularity contest. Here's hoping they just abolish the Pro Bowl. All-Pro selections are a far more accurate barometer of succes and there isn't a stupid game.

Surprised Reed hasn't caught more flack for all of his controversial hits. It's just as well. They were blown way out of proportion by the Goodell Gang, imo.

Think Reed is very lucky to get in, although Tucker has been accurate this season, I think Dawson has been slightly better in Cleveland. Tucker will have many more pro bowls to look forward to in the future.
