Question 3 Games Minus Both Landry And C-mac And They Are Just Noticing

12 posts in this topic

Landry has been out most of the season , cmac the last 3 games we have still won and still not given up many big plays , my question to the Raven Fans is are they not looking at our Depth or are they only looking to see who are not stars of old on the team, I think walker and Washington are doing well anyone care to talk about it?

they're doing OK, but did you notice we our pass defense dropped from 4th ranked to 9th last week, once a team actaully tried to take advantage of our secondary?

atleast we are not you know 32 in pd or even 10 or lower so I will settle for 9 maybe we can step it up and add some pick 6s to the board :D

defenitly. I'm glad we're facing Eli Manning this week. He totaly relies on his run game to win games for him.

But something tells me that's not happening this week........ :D

Eli is a good quarterback make no mistake, he could even have okay numbers with no running game at his side. nonetheless, when pressure starts to get to him he makes crappy decisions. I say if we keep applying the pressure throughout the game as well as press cover so he can't make those split-second quick throws, we could get that edge.

We all saw the kind of decisions that Eli made when Cleveland pressured him and put the game in his hands. I'm not taking away anything from him, he's turned out to be a good QB, but he doesn't have that poise under pressure that his brother does.

Did you notice that our Points given up per game went DOWN! Frankly, I don't care how many Passing yards they give up as long as they don't give up POINTS! If teams want to go from 20 to 20 through the air let them, just don't let them in the Endzone! Our Red Zone Defense is Awesome!

Very true. Even though I do not have the fullest confidence in our secondary. When it comes to Red Zone D - our team is a beast! We have always limited teams to field goals (for the most part). A lot of the touchdowns against us came on long plays. The TD passes to Owen Daniels, Marvin Harrison we also let Josh Cribbs run one back.

its scary though about thinking of our secondary.... If you notice how many times we used to blitz before all these injuries to the secondary.... Its a tough call because if we bring a LB to blitz, we loose a man in the coverage game thus enables for someone to go 1-1 with our CB's.... But i mean we do have rolle back which helps us our even more... So hopefully they open the blitz package this game and have faith our Secondary dont get burnt... Lossing landry hurts, but jim has filled in his stop.. It was loosing both starting corners that really hurt us because when we brought in the nickle package we had like 4th and 5th string guys in.... But HOPEFULLY WE BRING THE HEAT... heres to a 7-3 record :)

Maybe we should have our LBs press all the WRs and have our corners blitz.

Think about it. Our LBs are strong and no WR will be running forward from being pressed by our LBs.

What I was really wishing is that our CBs develop the strength of our LBs to bump any WR at the line.

Yeah, I guess having a good Red zone D is good, but what happense when teams start gaining yards threw the air on us willy nilly and start winning the field position battle. having to travel 80 yards every drive is not good for any offense.
