Ex-Raven at wheel in hit-and-run

I personally think that this guy should not be publicized as a Raven all over the news when he is a former Raven that never really made it, this doesnt look good for us at all.

Plus this is a serious issue and if you read the article it states his NFL career in the last paragraph, which should really not be stated in this situation.

I thought you all would like to hear about this... so here it is.

This is why I think Goodell will find it harder to disassociate trouble makers from the league. Once Pacman is long gone from playing but still getting in trouble he'll still be a former NFL star or former Titan star and as a result people who don't look further into things or just go by headlines will associate him with the league.

Just be glad it's EX-Raven arrest and not the situation Pitt went through earlier this off season where they released a TC Fodder player AFTER he was arrested for pimping.

From the Baltimore Sun:

The Ravens drafted Hunter as a receiver out of Notre Dame in the sixth round of the 2002 draft, the 206th overall pick. The native of Orchard Lake, Mich., finished that season with five catches for 35 yards and was a starter in two games.

The NFL suspended Hunter for the final four games of the season for using a banned dietary substance.

The following preseason, Hunter tore an Achilles' tendon and was placed on the injured reserved list.

During the summer of 2004, the team, faced with a glut of wide receivers, tried switching Hunter to defensive back.

"I came in [Notre Dame] with a lot of expectations, and things didn't work out there," Hunter said at the time. "Then I get drafted here, and things haven't gone my way. But I know things are going to look up."

Hunter was released by the team in September 2004.

He's been off the team for YEARS. In fact, he's been a 49er since he was a Raven. He never even played a complete season for us.

If some rookie UDFA who we cut gets in trouble 3 years from now, are they going to call him a "former Raven" too?

He should be publicized as an ex Fortey Niner. That was his last team he played for.

I don't really see the problem with referring to him as an 'ex-Raven' considering the sources the articles come from - the BALTIMORE Sun and the BALTIMORE Examiner. They are local papers and to make the story more relevant to the local reader, they mentioned he was on the Ravens' squad at one time, because he was. Perfectly understandable press tactics to get someone to read the article.

Also, given the all important 'Ex' before 'Raven', I don't think it reflects poorly on our organization at all.

He may very well be an ex-niner to a Bay Area newspaper. The fact that this is a MD paper and happend in MD has them writing the article in a manner to attract the eyes of MD readers.'

IN this article he's headlined as EX Notre Dame player.

I moved him to running back, when I wanted to have the defense back on the field I ran it with him and he fumbled almost every time!

T'was very funny!
