Week 17 @ Bengals - Rest or play starters?

I think Suggs, Reed, Ngata, Yanda Pollard, & Boldin should be shut down for this game. Williams, Smith (Torrey), Flacco, Rice, Jones (Jacoby & Arthur), Leach, Ellerbe & even Oher should be limited. After them, everyone should play a full game. I like the idea of seeing what we can get from Pierce & Allen; David Reed, Tandon Doss (?), Deonte Thompson; Harewood; Bynes, Hamilton, McClellan; Tyson, Hall, Cody; Considine & Brown. Make them earn their playing time.

I'm not talking about shutting down our team or not trying to win. I am saying we should rest the players who really need it, and then limit the others to prevent injuries that are unnecessary.

I think you must. The only impact players (starters \ backups who see a lot of playing time) are those who were injured and are fine now, so they can get ready for playoffs and not have to play after a long time without seeing the field. This includes Pollard and Ray.
