Shouldn't they have been fierce and angry after, oh I don't know, they lost to the Steelers and Charlie Batch?

Was listening to an NFL talk radio station just now and an old guy, which is saying something for my 63 years, was saying that the really great teams have a leader, like Unitas!

He went on to say that no matter how beat and banged up they were, as long as #19 took the field, they were confident they'd win!

That, Nation, is when we know our guy can join the Elite conversation,... And, with our team's current leader on the sidelines healing from a muscle tear, the outcome of today's game, like the play on offense, is anybody's guess!

This is a winnable game. The giants will focus on Rice. Joe has to step up and make those throws he hasn't been making the last three weeks.
Regardless of all the injuries, if we had a guy with the talent, drive and leadership of a Unitas at QB, the team, and probably most of the fans, would still be confident of a win. "Johnny U. ... where are you"

I just cant comprehend Flacco having another bad game, especially at home. We need a win here to secure home field advantage for a wild card round. And we need to rest up some guys in week 17 and see what young guys can emerge as role players in the Superbowl push.

Well the thing about it is Joe Flacco holds the key whether anyone likes it or not. For good or bad we are either winning or losing with him. It just so happens that we have lost the last 3 because of him. But, we may win the next 2 because of him as well.

For Flacco it all begins with decision making and being able to pivot your head to see both sides of the field to choose your best option. He hasn't been able to do that. In the strip sack against the Redskins, we had 2 open on his blind side to whom he could have thrown the ball to, but he didn't see that side at all! Problem. He needs to eliminate those silly mistakes and be a fast decision maker. If he does, we will win against anybody. But, how teachable is that with 2 games left? Don't know and won't worry. It is what it is.

Now, Steve Bisciotti in my view has 2 options. One is bad and the other is worse. He will either have to franchise him or sign him to a long term contract. I think he chooses the former and evaluates him for another season with a different coordinator. He may become great, one never knows. Steve like everybody else wants to have a passable QB and not left hanging with 'no' QB at all! So he is damned if he does and he is damned if he does not! Either way he is looking at a boat load of money keeping a QB who is as unpredictable as they come! However, an optimist still has faith in Joe being decent over the next few years....

For this game it is going to come down to who performs better Eli or Flacco. My bet however bleak and queasy it feels, still rests with Flacco doing just enough to win it for us.

Ravens win 16-13

They need to get mad. Get fired up, get a lead and keep your foot on the pedal. No letting up till the final whistle. It mostly comes down to Flacco and our "offensive" game plan. They do their job, the D will hold up their end. Then we can breathe a little next week and rest some guys before we play the Colts (my guess).

Looks like the majority of the so called talking heads on the pregame shows are picking the Giants. I understand why they are, but hope they're wrong. We are a point and a half underdogs at home. Just not right.....

The defense has played well as of late even with all the injuries. It's the offense that's bring this team down with all the 3 & outs and time of possession putting hat defense out there for most of the game. So my point is if we don't turn the ball over and control the clock you will see a different team [period]

@NCMan

Right, they more so picking Eli over Flacco. Last week Matt Ryan 34-0 the Giants, this week Flacco faces the same time at home. We will see, to be continue....

I'm sick of Harbs acting like its no big deal, we just " need to make a few adjustments". Show me today, you can't blame everything in injuries

I was at ESPN.com where Matt Ryan was talked about as MVP. I contested it because I sincerely believe the MVP belongs to either Peterson or Megatron this season. Well, the first thing they came at me about was the fact that Flacco sucked and I had no moral authority to comment on that board. I was literally run out of there, because for the first time I did not entirely disagree or had no legitimate response.... sad day!

Hope steelers lose big today!
Uhhh, if Cincy wins and we lose that puts us under the gun in Cincy next week! A squealer loss eliminates them, the more dangerous of the teams, sure, but I'd rather play Cincy with a game cushion!

So, I hate to say it but I'm hoping the squealers win which gives us that game cushion!

No matter what, we need a win!

@missing person....they may not, I agree, but, they are certainly capable of it, especially if the Giants quit like they did last week. I say we win 24-14.

They need to have a TE blocking on the left the WHOLE TIME, Oher is a Joke, he was mediocre on the Right. Just plain Sucks on the left.

Mckinnie over weight or not, still way better than Oher

So how are the Ravens feeling heading into Sunday's game against the New York Giants? "Fierce is a term that comes to mind immediately," Head Coach John Harbaugh said Friday. "We're fired up, we're mad, we're angry," defensive end Pernell McPhee said. "We're all the above."

^ real tough talk! it means absolutely nothing IF we can't we see it on the field! you cats have 2 1/2 half hrs to get yourselves together and to ready (mentally and physically) to back up all of this lip service. in all of this "fierceness" and from being "fired up," "mad," and "angry," can you cats come out and execute on both sides of the ball for an ENTIRE 60 minute ball game from beginning to end...resulting in a "W?" let's see! talk is cheap! smh!
