I usually hate posting anything about the draft this early with Bowl games, pro days, combines and all still coming up but I thought I might pick some guys I am excited about.

These players, a nose tackle and defensive end respectively, are solid 1st and 2nd round picks. Jesse Williams doesn't have the most flashy game tape. He doesn't penetrate the line as frequently as guys like Jonathon Hankins but commands double teams on nearly every play while still making tackles in the run game. In terms of pass rush he doesn't do that much from the nose tackle position, but if he did he would be a top 10 pick anyways.
Jesse Williams is actually a DE who switches to nose tackle but does a solid job at both positions. Either way he will be a force in the NFL.

Margus Hunt is one of those freak of nature athletes who will rise in the combine. The Ravens don't have the most pressing need at defensive End and a year of coaching will benefit this guy. Regardless, he should have a large impact for a 2nd round pick in his first year of the NFL.

Is OL not a concern? If we had more cap room we could go after someone like Brandon Albert (LT)
I'd like both considering our DL has underperformed. Ngata - Williams - Hunt

We need a left tackle so Oher can switch to RT and Osmele to Left guard. You don't tend to find quality LT's at the position we draft in. I personally think a good LT is the hardest position to find behind quarterback. I'd look to free agency to pick up a guy for cheap. You can usually get quality interior defensive linemen at our position so i'd focus on that.

Brandon Albert, Ryan Clady or Jake Long...

I'm down for Jesse Williams. We need someone with a motor and bloodlust.

How about Barrett Jones? He switched to LT last season, and while I only saw him play in the final I was impressed by what I saw. I spent every snap watching him, and he only got beaten once by my count. He should also be able to play centre in the NFL in case Gino doesn't turn out to be any good.

Well Margus Hunt had a absolutely huge bowl game. If he has a solid combine he may be an early to mid 2nd now

Had not seen Hunt until the other night, but had heard some things about him. Of course one game is not going to define a mans season, nor how he will translate to NFL quality. However, he was absolutely dominant in that game, and will shoot him up all draft boards. I think I might have been having dreams of a guy like him opposite Ngata, the way he played against Fresno.

I don't like him as much. Hes pretty old as well, next season he will be 26. He looks raw and he doesn't look so physical to me for his size.It will take him a couple more years to get adjusted to the nfl game. Prospects like this should go in the 4th and lower, but someone will probably fall in love with him and take him high.

For a guy who is 6'7 and 280, and run a 4.6, he seems like the type to have a lot of versatility. If this guy slips, it may be worth it to give this guy a try. I mean, to be honest, the Ravens have missed the aim on some other players we should have had but didnt(Hightower, Votanze, ETC) but this guy could prove to be one of those types that can be a real threat if you move him around. He can rush off the edge and up the middle as a NT or DT so he has a lot of upside. Having him, Suggs, Kruger, and maybe even McAdoo on the line next season could really boost that sack total that has dropped in the last 2 seasons.
