Like the Ravens, the Giants are coming off a lopsided loss last week to the Falcons.

IDK.... boththe Ravens an Giants need a win really bad... but I dont think both are desperate.

THe RAVENS are desperate:
Joe Flacco needs a super bowl to validate him as an elite QB
Ray Lewis needs a super bowl to go out on the right note
Ed Reed needs a super bowl (only thing he carreer is missing)
Suggs... bc he is missing a ring and it makes his sarifices this season worth it
Harbs..it validates him as an elite coach... and helps justify letting Cam go

The GIANTS... lost that desperation
Eli has two rings... not desperate anymore
Coughlin has two rings...not desperate anymore
That yound DL are young enough to think that success comes easy- they are clearly not as hungry as last season!

Even the RB's Bradshaw and Co. dont seem to have that same will that they had last season

We are the desperate team and I think that is why we will right the ship this week.
A big win over the defending SB champs is a nice dose of medicine for all that has been wrong with us for a month now!

Why do we always get the teams desperate for something?

We always gets the toughest match up
When we won the division last year, we automatically had to face the teams that also won their divisions as well as the AFC West (because of the rotation of the divisions we face) and the NFC East. It just all happened to be in one year. And if we win the division again this year, we'll have to play the Texans, Patriots and Broncos again next season as well as the NFC North and the rest of the AFC East...next year might be just as bad scheduling if our team is not completely healthy after this season.

When 2 teams come off of embarrassing losses, the team playing at home SHOULD be in the best position to take advantage and get a rebound.

LETS GO BOYS!

Ok, we're getting the black jerseys out again. All I ask is play like it's the playoffs. THIS IS IT. We didn't play that game against Pitt. And, we still almost won it. #leggo #PlayLikeARaven #Playoffs #BlackJerseys

If we play like we usually do at home, then the Giants will not win this game. We need to play like we did all last year at home, and against the Bengals.

I guess its a good sign that we have yet to sign a LB, hopefully that means Ray and Ellerbe are going to play this week!!

I think they should loose out, get better draft standing and play from behind where they generally play better.

We need this win more so we can rest our starters going into the final week against Cincy. Since that game won't matter if we beat NY let's go all out on Sunday and come away with a W.

Ed knew it looked like a tough stretch, closing out the season. Eveyone knew it, except some people here, who can't comprehend that injuries and a long year take its toll on a team!

I think the Ravens will beat the Giants, win the AFC North, perhaps rest some people for the postseason against the Bengals, and get the #4 seed. I'm not guaranteeing anything after that, because I'm not convinced yet they will suddenly find what they need to find in the play-offs, but at least this coming Sunday shouldn't be the last game in M&T this year! :)

There's nothing more dangerous than a deperate team. Too bad for the Giants that we aren't in the best of moods either. Makes to be an awesome game.

They will try to surround Joe because he is a Pocket QB and Rice will probably have a spy on him as well! Quick passes to the WRs can get some yards and get Jacoby the ball and let him use that open field running ability! Feed them Rice periodically!

I love the Ravens, but without O-line improvements, my prediction is that the Ravens lose by at least 10. I hope I'm wrong, but Tuck, Osi, JPP, etc clearly outmatch everyone along our offensive line except Yanda, and he's hurt. If someone can rationally explain how we overcome this mismatch, please tell me!

First three words that come to my mind when hearing ravens 2012 season.....Super Bowl Champions......where my brotha's at?
Bruh, your enthusiasm is admirable but your perception of the direction the Ravens are going this season is delusional IMHO. You’re talking Super Bowl and there is a really good possibility that we could lose the rest of our regular season games. NYG need to win out just to get in the playoffs, we’re already in so the sense of urgency is different. We need to right the ship, get back to winning football but the injuries on the defense and the inconsistency on offense is a recipe for more losses. I'd love to see the Ravens hoist the Lombardy Trophy this year BUT the unpleasant reality is we are an average offensive team and a below average defensive team that has had the good fortune of squeaking out wins early in the season. Now it’s crunch time and like the old saying goes, the cream rises to the top.
