I have lost 35 pounds since August '11. Well I knew that actually but seeing it on my tracking app in bold orange numbers just kinda makes it hit home in a very good way!

Thanks. They say that sometimes an 'a-ha' sort of moment will come along. I got woken up in a big scary way with one of those last August.

I can't fast, My doctor told me my system can't take it.

Yeah be careful with that. I'm anemic so I have to have food intake. So no fasting. Doc said supplements wouldn't be enough.

[font=trebuchet ms,helvetica,sans-serif][i]Anemia, that was part of my debacle. Actually had to go have iron-induced IVs every day for a week until they found the underlying cause. That's what my doctor said as well, the iron supplements wouldn't get back to 'normal' range. We're OK now though.[/i][/font]

I'm sure a fast would do my innards some good but...I think this is one time I'll actually listen to my doctor. My orthopedic doc at home would be surprised to hear me say that. *giggle*

I have a nasty bruise on my left shoulder...I nailed it on the bottom corner of the cabinet door yesterday (this is the same door corner that reached out and gave me a concussion a while back).

Nice purple bruise right at where the shoulder joint meets the shoulder.......and of course it had to be my bad shoulder. *wince*

I'm fortunate my shoulder got it this time and not my head. When I hit the back of my head on that same cabinet door corner, I had to deal with concussion symptoms for the next six hours. I sat in my living room with my sunglasses on and with a blanket tossed over my head. My fiance freaked out and sat there watching me to make sure I didn't fall asleep.

I knew as soon as I stood up after impact that I had a concussion....the vision went fuzzy immediately and I had massive nausea.

Other than day to day things, I don't do much else. I cannot exercise or guzzle too much water or the electrolytes in my brain could go outside of their "safe zone".[/i][/font]

I stay away from bread for the most part even when I'm not fasting. Just two slices of bread a day with my egg-white sandwich and that's it. I don't even put croutons on my salads (or cheese and only certain dressings).[/i][/font]
