Ed Reed embarrassed for the city of Baltimore...

55 posts in this topic

Not that his play was anything "radical" today, but he came out and stated he felt bad for the Ravens nation, and the city of Baltimore. That he is disgraced at how they played today. Which the whole team oughta be. Not just Ed.

Disgusting loss today, no doubt, so nothing is really "good" news -- but it is encouraging I guess to see players act up like this after the game.

He needs to look at himself, he jumps routes that don't get thrown and leaves his cb's exposed, can't tackle. Time to hang it up Ed

I thought we needed a miracle to win, and we got it from the defense. They forced more punts in one game than the Broncos have ever had this season, and with half of their starters. Even Ed had a couple of really nice tackles, though there is not excuse for letting a guy jump six + feet over you. Shame the offense decided not to play ball.

Embarrasing was the previous two opponents. He should be as embarrassed by his tackling efforts.

Efforts in quotes.

"It hits you in your heart when you lose three straight and you had an opportunity to close our your division the last three weeks. It's terrible. It's what all you guys have been saying about us right now. Regardless of us not listening to it or not worrying about it, it's just been the truth. We've just acted on it to come out and lose today."

Ed...they (media) and we fans are only speaking what we've been witnessing from the Ravens game play from the past 3 games now. just teririble! smh!

Today was one of the most brutal game I've sat through since the Indy team in 2007--it sleeted the whole game.

I thought about a few of you that I knew were there. That must have sucked. Pittas TD was fun? Maybe?

Yes and the first half D knocking Manning around --I think the int at the end of the half sealed it,
That was very very deflating to say the least.

This was very similar to the Houston game. Against Houston we folded right after the safety, this game right after the pic 6.

that play took the wind out of our sails.

Actually hes the first player to tell the truth, even if he doesnt playing his best right now.

But this loss wasn't on the defense. Try to stop Peyton and the running game without your first four LBs, first two CBs and best tackling safety. You really think Bynes, McClellan, Ayanbadejo, Graham or Ihedigbo can turn this defense into a Top 10 D again?? Peyton is the best to change plays at the LOS, without Ray in the middle the defense has no one to change plays. With the personell we're having right now I think the defense is doing the best they can.

The offense is healthy and they know they have to step up to help the team win, and they DID NOT!!

no one in their right mind will blame our defense. i am very proud of them, they played extremely hard, they were ready. Our offense didnt do them any favors how ever.

The D even started gambling to change the game, i cant ask them to do anything more than they did, get off Ed's back.

I thought the defense was very good, considering they're using special teams players. Offense wasn't too bad, apart from one guy playing behind center who fumbled a freakin' sneak and threw a pick 6 when there was a chance to get into the game.

It's odd that Ed Reed is embarrassed for Baltimore, because really Baltimore should be embarrassed for Ed Reed. It's sad to see Hall of Famers who don't know when it's time to hang up the pads.

Guys, you played a very good Bronco team lead by the legend in peyton manning.. They stayed relatively healthy all year so of their gonna have the upper hand and win. Shouldn't be too upset at this loss. I know you really needed it but your team has many injury problems and you just fired your OC. Im sure you can win at least one of these last games.

All the Ed Reed Haters need to step back for a second. Ed is pissed because Cary Williams gave up on the long TD pass in the (3rd quarter?). And I mean GAVE UP.
Not to mention <profanity deleted> Kevin Moreno and a slew of Mediocre running backs completely trample our front seven this year. In spite of no pass rush, and injuries, our secondary (including Reed) have been incredibly resilient.

You're wrong. Go back and watch that play. Ed left Cary out to dry.

I'm not an Ed hater btw.

Nope.
Watch the play on NFL videos (Eric Decker 51 yd TD catch). Ed takes the Outside fade route that Manning had worked ALL DAY against Carey. Carey hesitates on the slant run and chokes a massive D on the coverage. Just watch how he stops running.

I was completely SHOCKED at our defense in the first half. Shocked and amazed. They played WAY better than I expected.
McClellan had one heck of a day.
Cary wont be a Ravens next year.

Reed should be forced into retirement. He is only hurting this team now because he guesses wrongly too much and leaves our weak corners exposed.

Williams did give up after the ball was caught and I hope he's fined for it.

Watch the play. Ed cut underneath to jump a route that wasn't there. They both sucked.

At least the Steelers lost, so I don't feel as dreadful as I would if they had won.

It always a good day when the squealers lose.

Yep, the last two years he has really been exposed. He needs to retire and we need the cap space.
