We won't beat them. With their WR corps and our lack of a real DC or secondary, not a chance. Our Oline also flat out doesn't know how to pass block so how will they block JPP, Tuck, Usi and Kiwanuka?

Add in that Flacco looked like a JV high school QB today and you have another recipe for disaster.
giants always look like they can beat us, but we alway give eli hard time, we actually held him to a zero rating b4, i say we beat them, all but end their season, and start to get our swagger back... or, maybe, osi and them, can end flacco's season, and ignite tyrod's career

this one is in the bag, no way we're losing to junior manning, enough is enough
Yeah, I thought the same thing about losing to a 80 year old backup, then allowing a rookie make a comeback drive for OT and a game winner.

Every time I turn on the TV people are talking bad bout us, we're becoming a big joke....Flaccoing.
Yeah it's sad, the teams a shell of it's former self... It's inevitable.

I smell 4 in a row. :bitenails:

GO RAVENS. We need to pull ourselves out of this funk. Our backs are up against the wall...time to show some cojones.
The way to change the funk is to change some of what you usually do. Include something unusual like a few wildcat plays. Anything different can help change the offbeat rhythm we've gotten into. Everyone knows you cannot change funk by wearing the same old funky cloths, a change is in order.

I see us bouncing back with a win vs the Gmen. Not like we were totally horrible in our 3 losses....... just critical turnovers in critical situations.

I hope you have a great time and if we win then you have to go every remaining game of ours. :D
Haha, thanks! But, I don't think my wallet is fat enough to allow me to do that... :P

Overall, this is going to be a difficult game. Since I know a couple of friends who like the Giants, it would be awesome for the Ravens to ruin their postseason plans (at least until the Eagles pull off the upset in week 17).

But, most importantly, if the Baltimore Ravens are going to make a run for the Super Bowl in January, the offense MUST take control, starting with this game against New York. Hindsight is 20/20, but in retrospect, Baltimore's offense was in a lose-lose situation, against the Denver Broncos. The switch from Cam Cameron to Jim Caldwell had to be made, but Denver's defense was just too difficult to deal with, as well as deal with the change in play-callers. I'm sorry, but that is the truth; the Broncos defense is probably the most well-balanced unit in the league, against the pass and the run.

That is why I'm not making any judgments based solely on that game. It is also why, despite that pick-6 essentially killing any momentum, at least the offense did not turn the football over in the second-half and scored, even in "garbage time". Plus, I'm pretty sure the whole idea of leaving the offensive starters in for the entire game was done so the offense could get accustomed to Jim Caldwell.

Anyways, New York's defense has a lot flaws, once you get past their front seven. Also, their front seven is known for being a pass rushing unit, but not so much of an unit that can defend the run. So, basically, if the Ravens offense wants to make a statement, this is a key game.

As much as I would love for us to win out I don't have us winning another game this season (including playoffs) unless something magical happens to our offense within the next three weeks. Our defense is CRUSHED the only way we're winning games is if Jacoby is spectacular in the return game and our offense averages 30+, but I don't see that happening. I'm usually optimistic especially when it comes to my team but our last two home losses (steelers and broncos) have me doubting our squad.

Last time I looked the Giants didn't score at all in their last game, and even though we look like a big joke the past few games, I think we do have a good chance to win if we can just seriously, buckle down and work on our errors with a serious face, because we do look like a joke right now, it's embarrassing, but I believe this team will have it's greatness sooner or later(with or without certain players, I'm not gonna go into that)

The Giants actually need the game more than we do, but for how well documented it's been that they play well with their backs against the wall, they've also had a history of collapsing in important games, (2009, 2010).

Something's gotta give this week. Hopefully we stop the bleeding because this has gone way too far.

True that. We used to run them too much but how about an end around or something? Screen pass? Roll Joe out?

For real... the OL straight up has to perform better. They are not opening any holes for the run game or sustaining any blocks.

Can't believe we waited so long to can Cam. Now we are stuck with this system. Ever notice how NE's offense emphasizes quick throws? We could really use an offense like that.

Oddly I feel Sunday is our shot. I do not want to rely upon winning in Cincy.
I like our chances at home much more.
Why is it now for the past 4 weeks I have felt like "All we need to do is win; it HAS to happen!" :(

It's important to move away from tendencies that have cause problems in past games.

If not for Jacoby Jone's return for a touchdown in the first Steeler's game and the 4th and 29 fourth down made by Ray Rice against the Charges, we'd be looking at a five game slide instead of three. This offense has been bad for sometime yet they keep running the same plays and formations.

How many times have the team neglected to call on Leach to pound from 3rd and 1, or 3rd and 2? It baffles me that the offense attempted to throw on first down inside the 5 yard line for the pick six on Sunday. The Redskins picked off a pass inside the red zone two weeks ago. The Browns did the same in the first game. They threw the ball when they should have run too often in Philly and again in KC. I haven't mentions those game changing fumbles from the QB's position.

Without the elite defenses of the past would this team have been in the playoffs the past four years? Even with the problems and injuries to the defense this year, the defense have kept the team close in recent weeks but the offense fails to come through and cannot stay on the field.

I am less concerned about the other Manning and more concerned about what the Ravens will do. What can we expect from the offensive side? If we concern ourselves with Eli Manning that only applies to the Raven's defense. Our defense has it's injuries and weakness so what will our offense do to help this team?

We can assume the Giants primary defensive targets will be Ray Rice, and Torrey Smith (if he plays). Giants Secondary defensive targets will probably be Dennis Pitta, and Antoine Bolden. The Giants know that like most quarterbacks if pressured, Joe will have a bad day.

So, pressure Joe, Neutralize Ray, and cover Torrey comes first. The offense must unbalance the attempt to do that rather than sticking to the usual. Quick short passes, passes to Ray from a receiver position or Vonta in motions for example.

Hello fellas and gals, Giants fan here. Not really sure what to expect from this game. Both teams sucked last week, especially the Giants. If Eli plays the way he did last week, expect another blowout in favor of the Ravens. This defense can't stop a bee from flying through their line, so I expect to see Ray Rice run for 150+ if they use him properly. One of the Ravens receivers will have a 40+ yard catch, guaranteed. If the Giants defense that showed up against San Fran (26-3), Green Bay (38-10) shows up this week, then watch out. But as stated before... I haven't a clue what to expect!

holding him to a zero rating before: we were much healthier then. unless pollard, ellerbe, yanda and ray all come back this week we're either squeaking out an ugly win or rolling with a 4 game losing streak.

Welcome to the Board! I really don't know how we're gonna block JPP, Osi and Tuck... I expect you guys to get at least one or two strip-sacks on Flacco, which could be the difference in the game.

I wouldn't be afraid of Tuck anymore. He's a shell of his former self. I could probably block him. JPP is always a force to deal with. Osi is Osi, not sure what one shows up. If your o-line can block them, Flacco will have all day and many opportunities to complete passes.

if Eli's feeling good, i have a feeling that Flacco won't be the only one with an opportunity to have a field day. real nervous about how the D handles a hungry giants offense.

That's the question; what Eli shows up? I think if Bradshaw is out again, it spells trouble, since they have no other reliable back capable of picking up a blitz, as the Falcons exposed.

Falcons fan here...

Yeah when Biermann is getting pressure you have a problem. Don't get me wrong he is capable of doing it some but he is not a true rusher.

I won't make a prediction but if the Ravens pull off this win it will be a statement game because the Giants are playing for pride and for their playoff future. We beat them but it was one of those momentum games where we took it early and did just enough to keep it for 4 quarters. I imagine it would have been a much different game if A.Samuel had not gotten that early pick.
