The Other Manning.... NYG vs Ravens

The only positive I can think of going into this game is that the G-Men appear to be on just as much of a tailspin as this team. But in terms of individual match-ups, the Giants arguably pose just as many issues as the Broncos.

LMAO, I almost cried laughing, I like that a lot, you're my new friend

But I do think we can beat them... maybe
Glad I made you laugh, friend.

On a serious note, I would be really worried about our offensive line. Their front seven is just as scary as the Broncos' front seven, if not scarier. This concerns me.

I think this will be a close one. We can beat them. The question is, will we beat ourselves? (Flacco mostly.)

It should actually be 34-3, minus the two junk TDs at the end of the game against an incredibly soft D.
I dont know if I would call their D soft...Von Miller might find me and hurt me...

But the final score certainly did not reflect how much of a blowout this game truly was.

I really do not see how people can say we will win this game. Based on the performance of the past 4 weeks really. The team keeps talking about improving and having better communication but the time is up. You can say that through maybe week 8 or your bye but not in week 15.

We know what we have and that is a very flawed offense and defense on the decline and ravaged by injuries.

This was supposed to be Flacco's season to really step up and he has blown it. Severely choked.

People can get excited about the Giants blow out but they are a better team than the Ravens right now. Plain and simple.

this one is in the bag, no way we're losing to junior manning, enough is enough
The Ravens will lose. I think they're done this season, and will be one and done in the playoffs for the first time in five years. All they needed was one win in four opportunities to win the division and they will not get it. Cincinatti is winning the division this year.

No, I would like to get into some type of rhythm going into the playoffs and we would love to have at least one home game in the playoffs.

We have to run Ray Rice and run him some more next week. Too neutralize the pass rush of the Giants, alot of draws would help b/c their DE's s is going to rush strong upfield.
I want to see a rhythm too, but I want us healthy as well. I guess its a one or the other, cus I doubt we pull any starters at half time pre season style next week.

Two teams that scrubbed it up in Week 15. The Giants have more to play for, as they haven't clinched the playoffs yet, but I don't expect the Ravens to go quietly. (I hope)

The negativity, so far, in this thread is ridiculous and a little over-the-top...

Anyways, this Giants/Ravens game is going to be first, ever trip to The Bank, so I'm pumped! I will be sitting in section 120.

I expected this.... Caldwell is new, we have not gotten used to him yet... I think we will improve

We will not!

I had to give you a positive for this. It's hard for me to stay positive after games like today. After the loss to Pitt, I told myself, I wouldn't watch another game of the season. Yet today, there I was on my couch suffering through the game today. It's just rough being plagued with so many injuries. That and our Run Defense suffered two losses in Jarret Johnson and Cody Redding. I know I'll get a lot of negs for this, but I'd rather just sit our starters the next two weeks. Or at least the guys who have an injury. This is tough to watch. So many game changers banged up. Not optimistic about next week, but I'll be watching.

I hope you have a great time and if we win then you have to go every remaining game of ours. :D

With the Giants not showing up this week, im actually worried big time about this game. I really think we are going to have a huge issue against their pass rush and their wrs....i dont see this being a good game.

I'm just glad we have clinched a playoff spot, now if only we could beat the Giants next week and win the North.

they might have no pass D but i don´t see us having a great pass offense.
we have no run D and they are pretty good running the ball.

against denver our defense played a really good first half. that was maybe the best half of all season against the very best qb to ever play the game. they put us in good positions a lot and our offense just didn´t answer it.

instead we turned the ball over twice and gave them 10 points by ourselves.

one can think about the little manning whatever one wants but he is a much better qb than ours. he has better receivers and a better oline. our oline has to be the worst group in the nfl.

our receivers cannot get open and our best receiver has a concussion now.

our qb loves to overthrow our guys all the time when they get open ones in a while.

man - i am one positive person but it is very hard to believe in this team this year....

Flacco needs to find a rythem.... Or else we are done for.... I don't blame you. Torrey will be fine..... Another WR would help.... Flacco ain't bad, at time he shows flashes of dominance, and at others he shows signs of mediocrity... We have little chance, that's why I like us here

4 straight would be terrible....who was the jerk announcer that cursed us during Cowboys game?! When he said "Baltimore is the healthiest team in the NFL right now" and we basically went down hill from there.

If we want the division this is a must-win, imo.

This is also a must win for the Giants too. We're already in the playoffs, but they're still fighting.

I think the win will come, it will just be an ugly one. Hopefully the team can learn from these past 3 weeks of mistakes and right the ship.

Four things that MUST be fixed before playoffs:

#4. The Penalties. ST holdings, O-line holdings, WR personal fouls, defense personal foul. So many yards negated on critical timing. These things shouldnt be taught, the players just simply need be SELF-AWARE.

#3. The O-line. They get their hands on the defensive players, then after that..they have no idea how to FINISH them.

#2. Lack of hussle and hands of WRs. The WR just simply arent getting open. They are not dominating over CBs. No double moves, no constant effort to beat CBs. Its killing Flacco to get open views. On top of that, they are dropping passes.

#1. Joe Flacco. The offense starts with him.

He needs to LEAD the offense. He has to be the one to do it, b/c only he has the ability to COMMAND the offense and no one else. Maybe this goes hand in hand with WRs, but he needs to look and feel like a leader in order for WRs to hussle. When Flacco sees something in the field, talk to the WRs about it. Tell them to do sometthing, instead of following orders directly from playcalls. The lack of communication between everyone in offense, you can see it in the field...from WRs, to O-line. GET TALKING, stop staying on the phone by yourself and have small pep talk here and there, and fix the issues fighting the defense, pick the strategy together and improve each OTHER.

I really think that is key. All the diffciencies he had: Zero pocket awareness(stripped balls, deflected passes), overthrown, underthrown passes ,Not being able to hold onto the ball(fumbles), Eye-ing on ONE WR, HURRIED plays. His struggling, but if one WR hussles and extend that play and make a TD, all of the small errors just goes away and doesnt matter any more.

Hoping the Giants are going through that "Super Bowl Hangover" and keep playing like they did on Sunday....One thing is certain....Tom Coughlin's sideline antics will be entertaining.
