If we had blitzing safety leap up and hit the opposing QB helmet it would be a penalty. But Flacco didn't get that call regardless of how hard it was. I've seen Ed reed and Ngata called for similar things this year

The defense cannot bail Joe out all day by stopping Peyton. Sooner or later he is going to have to get his throws down so the players have a chance at catching them. At this point he is just giving them periodic rest breaks by going 3 and out.
