Our Special Teams has been playing great this year. This was the first big mistake and it was just unfortunate that it happened at a crucial moment. Dust it off and on to the next one. Keep up the great work! Let's get some more TD's, Jacoby!

I won't blame them for one bad play, untimely as it was. The special teams unit has been otherwise stellar this season.

It's amazing how differently you can see the field at the stadium vs. on TV. I was in attendance and from the moment he fielded the punt, I just put my head in my hands. I knew the game was over.

Good of the article to note the special teams's injuries. Both the defense and special team shave been ravaged this season, which has led to enormous pressure for both.

I knew the game was over.-- I did the exact same thing. I was sitting in the endzone and as soon as he got past Allen, I knew it wasnt going to be good. But wow how great is Sam Koch tho.

What stunned me was how the officials did not call holding. David Reed was held that entire play. But, I guess I shouldn't because it is clear the NFL hates the Ravens.

Every team has atleast one breakdown; No special teams has been close to ours; With that ... We've had a bunch of Special teams guys just get thrown on IR

Want to see the light in the darkness? Look at it this way. If they make one big mistake every now and then better the special teams make a mistake now and lose a game instead of later in the post season (i.e. missing field goals against the patriots...).

Not only am I not upset with special teams because of this play, i'm more just flat out impressed that Koch was able to take a perfect angle, chase that guy down, AND make a clutch tackle!

Punters are people too!

How can you fault a unit that's had one, I repeat one, bad play all year long ?

As far as that game goes, it was equal parts Defense and a coach who's name I refuse to mention for as long as I live, that get the blame.

What amazes me is in regulation David Reed could not hold onto the fumble or at least push the ball in bounds so a teammate could recover it, then game over and we're 10-3 and in 2nd place in conf .

How is this even a story? The ST unit has been a BEAST all year! How about a story on our ST's body of work. That play would have beaten any other NFL team. It happens sometimes. That was not why we lost... bad penalties (roughing the passer on Ngata) and bad calls (giving them the ball back when we recovered on ST after Upshaw lit that guy up). Then there's no offense in the 2nd half. But our ST unit should go to the pro bowl!

If anything, this play just confirmed 2 of my suspicions: first, our special teams are actually mortals and therefore fallible, and second, Sam Koch is a beast.

Hmmm...I guess "stunned" is the word of the day, in quotes too. Flacco was "stunned" by Cam's dismissal (not buying that from some other comments players have made) and now the Ravens' were "stunned" by the punt return. We're all "stunned". Now, get over it and let's beat Manning and those Broncos on Sunday.

Sam koch is the 3rd best punter in the NFL behind Lechler,Andy lee of the 49ers then there are the other punters we don't care for. go koch!

No time for 'stunned' in pro football. "Stunned" should be reserved for oc's that get the axe. I wanna see a seasoned team, one that's come together as a unit play the rest of the year. Stun the fans by winning it all. GO RAVENS!~~~~~~~~!!!!!!!

What stunned me was we didn't score in that first drive........Unacceptable
[/quote] thats because we had "he who should not be named" as a coach

I cant even blame the special teams it should have never got to that point in the first place.I'm stunned that David Reeds hands get dipped in motor oil before every game.

No duh it stunned the team. I knew as soon as the guy took off that it was bad. I don't understand why he slowed up though. He could have outran Sam Koch and taken it to the house. It doesn't matter. The articles are bringing up things that cannot be changed. Let's focus on the Broncos.
