I don't like our chances, but I'm a pessimist usually anyway. I had a really bad feeling about the Texans game and we ended up winning by four touchdowns, so what the hell do I know? If we win this one, no one can doubt that we are for real. I'm just glad we won the games we were supposed to win against Oakland, Miami, Cleveland and Houston to give us some good momentum going into this stretch that will basically make or break our season.

This is a huge game for us players and fans alike. I for one feel the Ravens are for real win or lose but it would be great to show the NFL that we are capable of beating the better teams in the league. A couple of weeks ago the Steelers/Gaints game was dubbed as a potential SB preview. Well i feel the same about this game, and i know many will say i'm jumping the gun a little bit. Hell maybe I am but if we win this game there is no reason to beleive that we can't go all the way.

When we beat the Texans last week, looking forward to this game i though it would be a very tightly contested game, and i still feel that way now. However i was thinking, can anyone imagine what the National storylines would be like if the Ravens just completely dominated the Gaints in this game? If Flacco outplayed Eli, if this Ravens secondary and defense just came up huge. What would be the story then?

I wonder if we will get to find out.

Knowing how the media usually treats us, the story would probably be about how bad the Giants played, with very few mentions of how good the Ravens played. I certainly hope we get to find out.

PS: As for the idea of this being a Super Bowl preview, all season I've been thinking about how cool it would be to have a Giants-Ravens Super Bowl in Raymond James Stadium, with hopefully a similar result to the last time, and the added bonus of the Boss doing the half time show. I believe that that is the definition of football and music heaven for me.

hahahah
I was the same way with the Texans!
Yeah, as a 'true fan', I have possibly chalked up the Giants and Eagles games as loses and have built our run for the playoffs around that.  :(

If we win. The media can talk about whatever they like. If they want to talk about what happened to the Giants, then be my guest. The only thing I am worried about is the W or L.

I can't wait either. This game will come soon enough. Then be over in a blink of an eye.

I have no idea how this game will go. I know it will be good. This is not a must win for the Gmen, so I hope they don't come out flat like on MNF.

i am actually moving to new york tomorrow.. man i wish i would have bought tickets to this game. it would have been a nice way to kick off the move. i think we have just as good a chance as anyone. we've got great momentum right now! if flacco can keep up the turnover free football and the defense stays solid like they always do then this game is well within our reach. Go Ravens!

p.s.- anyone on this board from new york? i'll be living in dutchess county for the next 4 years in hyde park so i'd love to be able to meet some fellow ravens fans up there.

Luckily you guys are at home, so even if the Giants do come out flat, the crowd will help pump them up. If it was in Baltimore, I could see us capitalizing early on momentum, but then leveling out in the third.

The Ravens need to hope the Giants come out flat, and we have to capitalize early. Too at least bring the crowd down a little. If the Giants come out and score on their first drive. It could be a long day for the Ravens. Usually the Ravens are pretty great at stopping the opening drive.

Yeah I hear you on that. What I can tell you is that 6/8 wins the Giants have, they scored on their first possession. But that is one of the things the Browns did, they scored early and quickly. It might be bad if the Giants have a 1-2 score lead at the half. But who knows.

Either way, I think it will be exciting.

FYI: If the Ravens win, it will be the Giants first loss at home.

A 1-2 score lead could spell trouble for us. We did come back against the Browns, but the Browns are no Giants. I'd ofcourse love to go into half time with momentum and the lead. But watching the Ravens this year, even that's not safe. If that was the case, we having the lead at halftime. I can see Manning making a string of completions in the third or last drive to win the game. Personally I do not have the confidence in our secondary to make the stop against better passing teams.

We really have to be disciplined. No Penalties, No turnovers. Ofcourse that's true for any team, any game.

This will be a tough game, but it is possible the Ravens can win this game. Even if it is in New York (there's a first for everything). It's not like the Giants are blowing teams out of the water, like the Patriots were doing last year. But it's going to be a damn tough win if we do.

My expectations off these next two games are us coming out with at least 1 win, I don't know who, probably the Eagles. But my confidence against the Giants is really building up. This really could be our season right here, if we win we may finally get a truck load of love from both espn and nfl and get noticed around the league everywhere.

The stakes are set, lets just deliver!

While you are right, you would get more love. Do you really want it? Trust me, being up in the sauce and all over the papers is not the best thing in the world. That is when people dissect the team and could potentially cause locker room issues. Unfortunately, I have seen this all too much. Just not too bad recently.

Win or lose I am just happy that 3 out of 4 of our games against NFC East opponents are at home. If we DO snag a W in The Meadowlands though I think the world is truly our oyster.

I am a truly pessimistic fan at heart. I always feel we have a shot against any team, but I do not voice those opinions out loud. Before a game, I will be excited, but I always steel myself for what could really go wrong. This way, if it does happen, I am not shocked. I get very pissed off and angry, but not shocked haha. But deep down inside, I always have hope. I love this team and this organization. They are first-class all the way.

I, on the other hand, am the eternal optimist. I never count the Ravens out of a game. I'm just so impressed with the way our team has progressed this year. My motto is "any given sunday"
