1.) I mentioned this in another thread, thought I'd offer it up under it's own. "Player & Coaches Threads". Just a Sub-Forum with all the players & coaches names listed; would be a good place for all the general topics concerning one player or another to be held. Not sure how many more "Fire Flacco" or "Give the ball to Rice" threads I can handle.
2.) Under the "Recent Topics", how about a "Trending Now" type section... showing the hot-topics for that day.
Just something to think about when the next upgrade comes along.

Like the first suggestion. It reduces clutter on the site; there must be a million Flacco threads. The HOT topic icon solves the Trending Topic idea, in my opinion.
