Rounds 1 & 2 should be spent on the lined in either order. I'd like to go firstly with Sheldon Richardson; stick him at RE and move Ngata to NT is an idea proposed by others which I'm a fan of. Then someone like Ricky Wagner from Wisconsin; a more effective pass blocker than run blocker but thats the kind of LT we need. Only concern is, will he be there at 48-64? If his value increased we could trade down, make him our first selection and pick up Short with our second, but need to target a NT later in the draft...*cough* McMullers. With a new LT then we could actually move KO to LG and Oher to RT where he can prove his worth in his contract year.

With that said, I do not believe Richardson will even make it to us. I see him a lot like Cox or an even better example is the NT Kansas City got, Dontari Poe. I think he shoots up the draft board come April. He is too athletic and the Combine will show that and unless he does something really dumb I think he'll be a top-15 pick.
Anyway, I'd rather get Aboushi in the 2nd, perhaps trade out of the 1st as unpopular as that is. I like Short, if he's there. I also like Floyd. I think we will have a chance at a nice DE in the 2nd or 3rd.
If we can get Albert the LT in FA for a decent deal, like 8 million a year, then that's a no-brainer. I'd rather draft a guy, though.
Also, I'm not big on this year's NTs.

I'm getting less hopeful Nix declares. He's a guy you gotta get, I think, if available in the 1st or definitely 2nd. I just get a bad feeling he returns.i think getting nix or floyd is more likely but i want sheldon too. As for Wagner, i've seen him in the 3rd round in most mocks right now. nice to see someone putting an emphasis on the trenches as much as me.

He would secure top 25 returning so I agree with your logic.
We need Ngata at NT because we know what he can do.
What about Dorsey from KC as a FA? Is he a UFA?
I'd sign Albert and draft Wagner for insurance if Oher doesn't get there. KO at LG. Our OL could actually give Flacco a pocket!
