Uh, McAdoo and Kindle aren't even the same position dude.

And wait, are you implying that McClain is more physical than Ellerbe? That's a complete joke, man. Jameel got soft!
Yes they are.

Ellerbe has been a great player for us though. He is excellent as a blitzer and has shown some ability to cover RBs/TEs. He is a physical player and a solid tackler. McClain is decent in everything except pass-defense, but he doesnt make the impact plays that Ellerbe does.

I worded that badly. I meant to say that they aren't even the same position as Ellerbe. My mistake!

McClain has gotten s-o-f-t soft in the run game this year!

Yep. PFF has missing 15 tackles on the year.

I want Pees gone as bad as anyone because he lacks in noticing his talent or lack there of and getting creative. We need to hide our weakest spots and that is a toss up between the CB's and LB's. I do not see how he can put a good defense up with the talent he has to work with. Even with Ray back (Ray is not an impact player anymore) which does not really matter. Ray is better on the sideline and providing inspiration at this point. Pees is in a losing situation right now and has been all year.

I do not even think a Rex Ryan or Marvin Lewis could help this bunch of thrown together mistakes. None are tackling, none are covering and i do not think we have any right players to fix it. Our defense is at it's lowest point in many years. Like it or not our defense is Horrid. I do not care who takes the job right now the defense cannot improve because they do not have the talent to do so.

Our drafting at the ILB position has been atrocious since Lewis, just to point to one particular position. When Lewis was in his prime he could quite literally erase the mistakes made by the clown playing beside him and for the entire front 7. Lewis can't do that anymore.

While I think you're right to a certain extent with talent being an issues, that is just too simple of a cop out for me. Pees runs a high school flavoured defense, it's not difficult to see that. His creativity is worse than Mattison's and Mattison had a faaaar worse secondary to work with. Mattison at least had 3rd down zone blitzes that he went to. Pees does nothing to create mismatches or overloads through gaps or fake pressures except that Ellerbe blitz through the B gap and once Ellerbe was hurt he stopped using it.

The issue is two fold. Talent and coaching. I firmly believe with a better coach the defense would be better, not top 10 better, but it would be markedly better.

I personally don't think Pees has it my myself, I feel like our D is really stagnant this year. I understand we have personnel issues and that what we can do is limited, but I feel like our defense has been very one dimensional. It was very obvious in the Houston game, their defense played the way we used to... Come up to the line fake the blitz, back off. Make the QB think. Even if you're not going to blitz confused that offensive line and confuse the Quarterback.

The D came to play this game but unfortunately, you give Manning that many touches with constant 3 and outs, he will drive down and score on anyone. With as many injuries that we have with the way the D has performed lately, you got to give Pees another go at it come next season, you just have to.

I say fire Pees and bring in Crennel as DC. He knows what he's doing as a coordinator in the 3-4, if we choose to stick with that inefficient system.

That would require Crennel getting fired from Kansas City. If that happens, I'm for it.

I'd be surprised if he wasn't.

Idk. Players seem to like him, and they have talent everywhere but QB.

I'll reserve judgment on this until the playoffs, when Lewis is expected to return. The Ravens' defensive players have been dropping like flies this season. We lost several offensive players today too, smh.
