Yes Peyton is a beast. I think he will attack in other areas. The middle was open today because of the RGIII and the option play so the linebackers had to respect the option fake first which left the middle open. But like I said he is a beast and next week will be a long game if we don't pressure him. Nigel Carr? Once again another guy on our defense that I have no idea who he is :(

What Raven games have you been watching this season, the middle of the field has been a landing pad all season for this Ravens defense!! Not just this game!!

Lets see, first of all they didn't prepare for Cousins!! Second of all, not preparing for cousins, would you have actually thought he would of ran a draw up the middle for the 2 point conversion?!?! Of course you will say yes, but come on man, no one on that team thought that was going to happen, you know it as well as I do, wether you want to admit it or not.

As far as the TD before the 2pt conversion, it was obviously blown coverage!! Like this team or any other team has ever blown coverage, stuff happens, WRs sneak by, get open, get TDs, it happens! The defense should of never let them drive down the field on that game tieing drive to begin with after pretty much shutting them down the previous what 2/3/4 drives before that!!
Nice try but #39 Johnson was on Garcon but came off of him trying to jump the out route that Moss was running. Cousins was going to Moss and that is why you saw him pump fake, but once he saw the corner #39 jump the route he knew he had a touchdown. It was undisciplined play by the backup to the backup that gave up the TD. Now that's knowing football :)

True but today's reason is because the LBs was honoring the option first which didn't allow them to drop in the middle quick enough. But with the guys we have playing LB now Peyton will have his way with them so it doesn't matter...

Man are you paying attention at all??? We rested Ellerbe and Suggs and Jimmy Smith Today just to make sure they will be healthy for these next 2 games against the Manning Brothers. Relax Dude, Pee's knew he wasn't going to be using alot of Coverage today and that it was going to be all about stopping the Run. Thats why guys got rest when in essense they probably coulda played. The Ravens are prepping for a run against Passing teams. Manning is in for a real Surprise next week!!!

Smith is coming back? I didn't know that.

Which also defines BLOWN COVERAGE lmao!!! You my friend are a lost cause. If you "know football" so well, why aren't you playing or coaching football for the Ravens, or any team for that matter. Now that's actual fact my friend :bunny:

Now you're absolutely right, and I'm not trying to argue that! I was just saying that the middle has been open all season, and if someone hasn't saw that, then I don't know what Raven games they are watching.

Smith Listed As Doubtful, Johnson Questionable
Cornerback Jimmy Smith does not appear ready to get back to game action after returning to the practice field this week. He is listed as doubtful.
Smith practiced in a limited capacity after being inactive the last three games following a sports hernia operation. He has not played in more than a month.
“Jimmy made progress,” Harbaugh said. “He’s out there practicing. [He] did a nice job – moved around pretty well, broke up some scar tissue and things like that. That’s really important. He did a good job.”
Well I'm glad his is getting healthy because I don't want to see anyone injured, but before he was injured was he lighting the world on fire? I'm not sure how much he can help. I hope he starts to play like a 1st rounder...

As far as coaching....Trust me as dumb as we think Cam and Pees are they would probably blow our minds if we sat down in a coaching meeting with them :)

The ravens are in trouble . eli is getting his stuff together and peyton always looks good . the defense has way too many injuries to be competitive and to close out games . I felt the offense stepped up there game improvement for sure is needed . we can't win anything esp. now more inujries. its heartbreaking but i think its time we relax and let the season play out .I will still be watching and cheering and praying that everyone gets well soon .

Random thought.... New OC: Norv , New DC: Rex
LOL that's funny, because as a selfish Raven fan I was actually hoping Rex got fired at the end of the season, just in hopes we could get him back. I mean I would hate to see anyone lose their job, but come on now, I love me some Rex Ryan, same as Pagano, but that's a totally different story and he has way more problems and stuff to deal with as of right now. Get well soon Chuck!!

How about Rex and Billick as the OC. Norv would def be a change from Cam, that's for sure lol!

28 points should have been enough to win it. Our defense is hurting. So many injuries. We have to ask for a lot from our offense if we are going to win another game.

Granted, we are full of holes on defense because of injuries and may get one or two back next week; even R Lewis may play but Denver is on a roll and we haven't been the shutting any offense down even on our best day. And yes, I've been paying attention and I'm calm; I wish I was excited but I don't see anything to be excited about except R. Rice getting the ball. Pierce has had a pretty good year considering he's a rookie playing behind Rice. As for prepping for a run against passing teams, uh, have YOU been paying attention?? We’re ranked 23[sup]rd[/sup] in the league, not very good and that’s been against a lot of losing teams. Denver and NY are not losing teams so I will continue to watch attentively and remain calm. If we win I’ll be excited.

Not to doom and gloom it up, just being realistic here. But in a word: Yes.

With Peyton and Eli Manning, backed by good teams, looming, home or not, we are officially in trouble. That doesn't mean we're destined to lose out. But I'm liking our chances less and less. Suggs might play again this season. Ray seems poised to get back on the field soon. We'll inevitably get Ellerbe back soon too. But is that really going to be enough?

People said from the beginning of the season after Suggs was hurt, that "Joe is going to have to carry this team this season". And while yes, we have 9 wins, the fact of the matter is, he really hasn't carried this team. In fact our defense and special teams got us at least 2-3 or those wins. He hasn't stepped up on a contract year. And now, against the Manning Brothers, against two good defenses, do I think he's suddenly going to flip a switch and play great?

I'll get back to you on that.....

Nigel Carr is a rookie free agent playing on the practice squad. He had a pretty good preseason, got cut and then resigned. check out the preseason box scores.

He played pretty damn good today!! Take away that forced pass into an int, and yeah he played pretty damn good!

I could not have been more unhappy with the way that game ended. I hate sitting here knowing that Flacco threw 3 TDs and 1 INT today, better than last week, Ray Rice got more carries and they still lost.

Yes we're in trouble and you guys can sugar coat it all you want. Two weeks ago a first round bye was within our grasp. Now we've lost two in a row and will probably drop another to one of the Mannings if not both. Yes we are in trouble and yes there needs to be a sense of urgency unless we want to be one and done in the playoffs.

He's only one man. He's not perfect but I think he's doing just about everything he can do by himself. I'd grade his season so far c+/b-. I'll take that. There's nobody doing much better this year either, even the elite guys.

Of course we need DBs it's a passing league. Kemo and Cody are they to eat up space for the linebackers. They are fine. Of course we need to find a replacement for Ed Redd. This year may be his last year and Ray's.
