[News] Are Ravens In Trouble?

242 posts in this topic

Regular season doesn't even mean anything to me now after this lost. Long as we make the playoffs it's a new season, was trying to figure out our #2 seed now more like a #4 instead. 1 home game than the journey that make or break you.

In 2010 The Packers were Devastated with Injuries and ended up making the Playoffs and Guess who WON The Superbowl that Year??? I am Seeing alot of Identical Similiarities between the Ravens of 2012 and the Packers of 2010. It may be better for the Ravens to go into the Playoffs as unpredictable where other teams don't know what to expect from us. Our ceiling is rising though, next week Ellerbe, Ray Lewis, Suggs, Jimmy Smith, and Ed Dickson should all be active players if not really really close to active and they will help us get on a Tear for the Last 3 games of this season and into the Playoffs. NE still has to play Houston and San Fran and if we beat Denver and win out we could still End up with a Bye Week.. Keep your heads up Raven Nation!!!

All season I've said that this is not a very good team. They kept Cameron around and hired a poor DC. Now they have to own it and cannot hide behind the huge mistakes they've made by keeping a lousy, out of touch OC, a reject from the Patriots as the DC and a coach that is so blinded by loyalty he won't admit his own fault. He's too proud and his ego is inflated. The owner is not much better for allowing it get to this point. Drastic changes need to be made to salvage the rest of the season. This team is not a Super Bowl team and is barely a playoff team. To disagree would be an insult to all true Ravens fans that eat, breathe, and sleep Baltimore Raven football.

u guys always blame cam what about the o line blocking for joe so he has moretime
No Cam is not blamed for this game at all. Cam is blamed for things like Torrey have 1 catch for 21 yards today. Cam is blamed for Ray Rice not touching the ball last week in the 4th quarter. Cam is blamed for when we lost to Jacksonville and Seattle last year Rice had less than 10 carries. Cam is blamed for calling pass plays when we had the lead late in the game and was deep in our own territory against Pitt a couple of years ago and Troy P got the strip sack against Flacco. Cam is blamed for not calling quick pass routes when the Skins were putting extra guys on the LOS and coming off the edge. He continued to call deeper routes instead of a quick route or a screen. No he calls the screen on 3rd and 20 when everyone in the NFL is going to drop guys in coverage. Do I have to continue on about how he doesn't get the ball to our playmakers and how he calls the wrong plays at the end of the game when it's time to manage.

All I know is that the defense BETTER prepare, and prepare well for that no huddle next week!! Peyton is going to run that the entire game, and you boys better have your breath and crap together. If the defense can over come that, I think they will be fine, they got us at the BANK behind them as well. Get loud M&T, I know my loyal section 113 will be, yeah like the rest of the stadium wont be loud, what am I thinking I know OUR HOUSE will be rocking come next Sunday!!

Yes we are in big trouble overall due to injuries, bad play and bad coaching. Was looking at the playoff tiebreaker rules and even if we lose out and go 9-7, it will be near impossible for us not to make the playoffs. Pitt and Cincy have to play each other so one of them will have 7 loses guaranteed unless they tie. We own tiebreaker over any team that has 7 loses. So unless Steelers and Bengals tie and then win out we are in worst case as a wild card.

Oh my.... would you like to go back 5 years or what????

Flacco could have changed the plays at the LOS when he saw that there were 6 defenders on the line... moved his TE over to block for him... He does have the capability to audible out of the play that's called.

As for Rice not having the ball in the 4th quarter last week... Can we get over that one? We had the ball for 2:49 seconds of the last quarter last week... the running play that was called was for Bernard Pierce....

Stop with ALL of the Cam stuff... There is plenty of blame to go around.

Kind of a crappy way and good way of looking at it! I haven't even played those scenarios as of yet, if you are correct in your math and the "worst case scenario" for us does happen, it's those 9-7 teams you gotta watch out for in the playoffs. Just ask Eli and the New York football Giants, how those 9-7 teams do in the playoffs. It's all about getting hot and getting hot at the right time, and the Giants know all about that!

I thought with our schedule that if we won 9 games that would be good and if we won 10 games we were better than I thought. Right now the 10th game looks kind of shaky. I agree with you about the coaches. It's always seemed to be the tradition to hire the DC from within. We have done it that way forever. To Pees defense you can make chicken salad out of chicken crap. If he had all of his players on the field then we could evaluate him properly.

Harbaugh job isn't on the line so he isn't going to think about letting coaches go. If his job was on the line it would be a terrible situation like Philly. The defensive coordinator and D-Line coach was fired. Their best pass rusher was cut and they are starting a rookie so they can cut the veteran and not pay him the rest of his contract. They can't cut the OC because he's the head coach. It's obvious when the front office is putting a coach on notice, other coaches and players are let go. The Ravens are not at that point so I hate to say it we are stuck with Cam unless Ozzie makes the decision.

@ Baltimore1975... Really??? You gotta post the same thing twice to get your point across? Come on...

We have had O-Line troubles. AND our receivers are not getting open downfield. Watch tape please... It's been talked about all over ESPN, NFL Network, and CBS. It's clear that Joe does not have the time he needs for the plays to develop downfield. If I have to say it again... We need to develop our passing game. Crisper routes, more accurate throws... and then you have a more balanced game.

You can call run and pass plays all day long, but if they cannot execute then what good is it? How many dropped deep passes in the past couple of weeks??? Boldin cannot hold the entire passing game on his shoulders.

You're fighting a lost cause with most of these "the sky is falling after a loss fans", it's always the point the finger and blame game. I'm sure you know that already, but don't put too much time and energy into those fair weather fans, every thing is good when we win, and the world will end when we lose fans!!

Well I'm convinced you are not a real fan, because after losing to Pitt and Wash back to back weeks how could you possibly want to watch all of those news channels and listen to all of the Redskins are so great talk.

There are other pass plays that can be ran other than deep routes. Quick screens to Torrey every now and then would be great. Screens to Rice would be great. Jump ball passes to Torrey again Hall today who was on crutches this week?

Wow, I dont think I can post anything more than has already been said about this game. The Ravens blew their chance to win this game, and even though I'm disappointed, we have to have faith that the Next man up will help us win the next game. C'mon Ravens make me a believer.

Sorry Ed, you're in denial. Why yes Boldin, I am pissed off that this team has no idea how to close a game out. Matter of fact, you should be pretty pissed off yourself.

Actually when we beat the Chargers I thought the pass Flacco made wasn't smart. A dump pass on 4th and 29, so I'm not a fair weather fan. After that game I knew our offense was slacking and it had to get better.

I don't have to tell you things are bad, everyone knows things are bad. It's the end of the season, the coaches have no idea what to do and there's no end to it. We sit there watching the games, where some commentator tells us today we had 3 fumbles and 1 interception, like that's the way it's supposed to be. We know things are bad, worse than bad. We sit in front of the TV during the game and as we slowly lose in the end and it is like the world is getting smaller and we say, please Skip Bayliss just leave us alone, but I am not going to leave you players alone. I want you to get mad. I don't want you to mutiny, I don't want you to write to your owner, because I don't know what to tell you to write. I don't know what to tell you about the injuries, the playcalling, or Cam Cameron or Dan Pees - all I know is first you got to get mad. You have to say I am a Raven . My play has value. So I want you to get up off your bench, I want you all to get up off your benches and go up to Harbaugh's office door and open and say, We're as mad for losing and we're not going to do it anymore!

Baltimore1975... I understand the quick throws and screens... If you're looking at coverages and you don't see it, you audible out of it... change the play if you can. Joe has that capability. The problem is that Oher and some of the other linemen are losing their coverages and people are getting pressure on Joe way too quickly. There were 5 guys on our LOS today and they were bringing 7. How's that gonna work for him? He's either taking a sack, getting stripped because he doesn't see them coming on his blindside; or he just doesn't have anyone open... and yes has to dump it off. smh

No I can't get over that. Stuff like that is way it's always all of this Cam Stuff. We win that game and today we are not worrying about the division. Rice is our playmaker running the ball, Smith is our playmaker catching the ball. The playmakers must touch the ball during crunch time. Would the Patriots lose a game and then at the end of the game realize that Brady didn't throw the ball in the 4th quarter? Would Minnesota lose a game and realize Peterson didn't touch the ball in the 4th quarter. So why Ray Rice not getting the ball in the 4th quarter isn't a big deal.

Blah, blah, blah, someone should Harbaugh and the players, there are only 3 weeks left to "fix things" After they lose the next 3 games and if they make the playoffs they'll be one and done at that point Harbaugh needs to grow a pair and fire his good buddy Cam and Pees. If he won't do it then all three should go.

I'm not sure if you think I was blaming Joe for the game. Joe gave us an 8 point lead. He did what he had to do in the 4th quarter. I was complaining about Cam's entire body of work at Baltimore.
