[News] Are Ravens In Trouble?

242 posts in this topic

No, we'll be there in January, but I worry about road playoffs games. I hope we can fix those road jitters waaaaaay before then. We stand behind a Ravens organization that truly has the MOST continuity in the NFL, that's gonna get us there, even with #5. I'm not freakin worried.

Yes, we're still gonna make the playoffs.....but do you really think we're gonna make any noise with the way we play lately. The opening day Bengals game is long gone.
One things for sure Pees and Cameron have GOT to go. Pees has somehow manage to take a perennial top 5 defense and turned it into a soft soft team. And Cameron after 4 years still shows that he is unimaginative at play calling and still doesnt give Flacco freedom.

Einstien said that the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result. Cam has GOT to go!!!
Cam has had 5 years to show he is right for us. He hasn't impressed me at all. Pees can't take the blame for the defensive woes. You mentioned a top 5 defense, but you didn't mention that top 5 defense included Lewis, Suggs, Webb, Ellerbee, McFee, J. Williams. All of those guys were on the sideline today. Today our defense played only 6 guys that could start for another team (Ngata, Cody, Reed, Pollard, Kruger, Upshaw). Mclain, Jones, Johnson, Graham, C. Williams would be backups on most teams. Injuries to other players and I'm not sure why C. Williams is a starter is why our defense is in the position they are in.

I get angry when I see comments like "we suck"... or "we can't keep playing like this"... or other comments that make it sound like these guys are playing bad... intentionally... They are doing the best that they can with what they have to work with right now.

Take a look at the injury report.... The guys that are out. The guys that are playing hurt... When you have to go to other teams and pick up players because ours is so decimated, you know it's bad.

I admire these guys and their confidence... I think that if they can go out there and play the way that they did today, we could go further than most people expect us to. Because, yeah, we should have won today. That was a very good game...

Considering the injuries and the guys that WEREN'T able to be on the field.... and I commend those that were.

And that fumble was a bum call against David Reed.... That should have been Ravens Ball down on the 15 yard line... and another TD... which would have put the game out of reach for the Deadskins.

I really hope these guys don't believe what they're telling the media about it being no big deal. That attitude, plus an OC with ***ZERO*** killer instinct, is the recipe for a losing streak all the way to the end of the regular season.

And that whole garbage about "well the Saints lost a bunch of games before the playoffs and went on to win the Super Bowl" isn't helping anyone. Somebody, I don't care who, find a way to light a fire under these guys so they can start playing with a sense of urgency, because these last games DO matter.

The Ravens can lose the rest of their games and they are still in the playoffs as a wild card, UNLESS in Week 16 Cincinnati and Pittsburgh end up in a tie, and otherwise both teams win out. If the Ravens win one more game, they win the division regardless of who they beat.

Yes, we are in trouble........and BIG! I dont see any emotion, and passion out there. What a flat, pathetic looking football team at 9-4 smdh We wont have to worry bout the playoffs because at this rate we will be 1 and done. Maybe one day Steve will listen and get rid of that horrible excuse for a OC....then there will be hope

Ill admit i was bitter at the Deadskins for winning. But then i thought we could be in a worse position. We could be as bad as the chiefs, dolphins, browns, jags cardinals and im especially happy were not the jets that team is a crap circus. Theres alot of talent in our team, we'll get there.

There is absolutely no debate that Cam Cameron does not know what to do with a 1 or 2 score lead against a team he knows can score on us. He undoubtedly has blind faith in a defense that is riddled with injuries.

THIS WASN'T CAM CAMERONS FAULT joe flacco blew it today with his line calls on the fumble and interception he failed to recognize they were blitzing more people than the ravens had blocking cam cameron cannot make line adjustments he gave ray rice the ball and trusted joe flacco to do what he is paid to do sorry but this one is on the players today

I can honestly say that "we're in trouble" when people start giving up on this team...

Our QB has taken us to the playoffs all 5 years he has played for us... We have made it to the AFC game 2 of the 4 years so far... We were one "Evans" away from the Super Bowl last year... We have won at least 10 games every year for the past 5 years (thinking we'll win at least one more). We have one of the most WINNINGEST teams in the NFL...

Let's not give up on our guys folks.. If they believe, then maybe we can too!

Flacco played fairly well besides that INT in the redzone, it's not Flacco's fault that Kirk Cousins tied the game up, I solely blame this loss on the defensive performance. They got soft at the end and gave up the game tying points

I saw glimmers of hope today... but not for this season.

There are three things that will put us in immediate contention next season...

1. Regain health. Getting Webb and Suggs back on the field fully healthy next season will make our defense significantly better.

2. Fire Cam Cameron. I don't believe I need to elaborate on this.

3. Draft either a pass rusher or a WR to replace Boldin.
I was feeling you until you got to the part of replacing Boldin. This guy is the only guy that Flacco has a connection with on deep balls now. For some reason he can't hit Torrey even when he has two steps on the DB.

I believe our defense is actually playing decently when you consider how many injuries they have. The BIG disappointment is still the offense. But then, when we still have Cam on the payroll with his vanilla offense I guess you really can't expect much more than what they are doing. Flacco is only average and will always miss deep receivers, throw high on short routes and turn the ball over when the pocket caves in. What you see is what has been typical of he last 5 years. Do you really think it is going to change????? Some of our early victories we just got lucky. That now seems to be changing.

Good post depending on how you look at it. If you are a believer in the season is 16 games and not 1 game yes what you said is on point. But if you are a person who works with Steeler and Redskin fans then your post will do nothing for us when we hit the workplace tomorrow. Last week was awful losing to Charlie Batch now it's Kurt Cousins.

My central problem with this team is simply just that. Whether it's the coaches or the players, nobody seems to feel that sense of urgency. Regardless of our record, we have not looked that good when it is all said and done.

I can't stand how indifferent the coaches and Joe always seem, no matter if we play badly. I want the team to feel like they're in trouble.

hopefully we get ellerbe, si55le, and ray lewis back next week when denver comes to town. this Dfense needs all the help it can get. it was atrocious today to say the least, except paulie K. im still a raven faithful! the guys need to come out really angry next week and play a really passionate home game, and reclaim some lost redemption from today!

All the talk about Cam's terrible playcalling actually reminds me of a time a few years back when the camera was focused on him looking at his playbook, and the commentator said something like "There he is looking at his Denny's menu again." To this day I still yell at him through the TV to put away the Denny's menu and start calling some real plays. Hah.
