Not very Positive in this thread. Yes we've had our butts whooped the last few weeks but looking at the next week or so:

1) Jimmy, Ray, Suggs, Dickson, and Ellerbe all should be making their returns next week. This gives and ENOURMOUS boost to a pathetic defense this week. Plus with Ray back as Head of the D, he can run the program over the weak Dean Pees. Ray and Ellerbe give a boost to the LB's, Jimmy boosts the secondary, and Suggs (Even with one working arm) will BOOST the pass rush

2) Its not like the season is over, yet. These players can come back and we start a commanding string of wins. and also......WE NEED 1 WIN TO CLINCH THE DIVISION FOR BACK-TO-BACK YEARS. A Patriots loss tomorrow and the race for the #2 seed is still up for grabs pending our game with Denver.

3) We're 9-4. Not 7-6, not 5-8, and definitely not 2-11. We have a good lead on much of the division and conference, so why don't we take advantage of it. Use this time now to test new plays, formations, and personnel If we are to get better, we need to try something new. Now is the perfect time to begin testing.

4) Everyone has counted us out. "There's no way the Ravens can get it done with that defense" "Flacco is too inconsistent" "The offense is too weak." We have fallen.......to being underdogs. This is the role the Ravens love. The role they thrive in. When everyone says they can't do it, THEY GET THEIR WORK DONE. Let us now fly under the radar and sail into the playoffs

These are trying times my fellow Ravenatics, but all is not lost. All it takes is ONE win, ONE upset, ONE lightning play to change a failure of a team into Super Bowl Champions. Ask the Giants, ask the Ravens of 2001, they each had their own trying times that had them labeled as out. Now and on for the rest of the season, our Ravens can take control our their future and hopefully ride the momentum they create all the way to a Championship run! 2012-13 is not lost, for it has only begun!

There was a lot more problems than just a consistent QB today. I know a lot of it goes on Joe, but all of it can't.
Like what exactly? 3 TDs and a QB rating of 121. An INT tipped at the line, not a whole lot to do about that, it happens to every QB. Strip sack? Perhaps Oher could help out, it is after all what we pay him for right? No passing plays except for 3rd down in the entire 2nd half? Oh, wait, Joe doesn't call the plays. Letting an 8 point lead go with minutes left in the game? Oh, that would be the defense. Get real.

Sidenote: I can't believe we broke RGIII. (even temporarily) Washington fans will despise us forever.

Edit: As I type this, the "super" elite Rodgers just had....wait for it....a strip sack!!! He must suck.

The INT, even if tipped at the line is on Joe. That's an automatic 3 points at worse if he doesn't get a late read on the coverage and toss up an absolute duck fart. I knew it was an all out blitz, literally every WR we had on the left side of the field was open and Joe missed all of them waiting for Pitta to get open on his jerk route. I've criticized the crap out of Flacco for this, but he is AWFUL for locking on to a target and waiting for them to get open. If the dude is covered on a blitz call move on. Smith and Boldin were open on the left side. Unacceptable.

If you would read my posts, you would realize i actually support Joe, so please don't put words in my mouth. I never said he sucked, but he has to have some kind of pocket awareness. He also has to realize when the blitz is coming. When you have FIVE lineman trying to block SIX guys, something is going to happen. Sack/pressure into a pick or something. He should've thrown the ball away. Sort of the same thing on the fumble i believe. I know Oher is supposed to do his job, but he had 2 guys coming in to blitz. Joe should've seen that.

Ditto. Joe needs to do the basic math. You know the Redskins go all out blitz on 3rd down. They always do. They had six blitzers to our 5 OL men. Joe needs to know he has a split second and adjust to it.

Good thing some of us do not play because we would be a cancer in the locker room. All this doom and gloom. Yes I am pissed that our Defense failed on that last drive, and that we gave up a long punt return to seal the loss, but I am more pissed that we had the nail in the coffin only to have the refs pull it out and allow the Skins another life. We are really hurting injury wise yet we have found a way to win. The last two games have been a bitter pill to swallow, but we are still in it. Knowing our track record, I have to believe that we will find away to get back on track. Our team needs us as fans more than ever right now.

We let a horrbile team beat us,
If you think that team is "Horrible " I question your knowledge of football.

RG-III is CRAZY fast. Not like he eventually gets fast. BOOM he is fast.
He has one hell of an arm. He is super accurate. He sells the fake like nobodys business. ( Flacco could learn a lesson or two from him on that )
Morris wile he is not the best RB in the league he is highly effective and really gets the job done.

We got beat today by a really good offense. I dont know how that could be argued.

I'm pretty upset myself, on many counts. But I'm trying to keep my irrational mind rational and not succumb to my emotions, which I really want to do right now. I think we should all give the team a break because right now we are playing with a really banged up team. We're missing multiple key players at multiple positions and let's be real: some of the key players in right now are not getting it done.

Ed Reed has disappeared. He seems to have become your moniker: irrelevant. He has not had the impact he has displayed at all. It's disappointing to say the least. On top of that, we are without Suggs, Lewis, Webb, we have a Ngata who is finally starting to get healthy again.

Now that's on the defense. The offense, well, Joe has been playing poorly and on top of it the offensive line has been that--offensive.
For me, Ed Reed has been a total disappointment this entire season.. I've never seen such sorry attempts at tackles as I've witnessed this year.. Half the time he will dive at a players legs in an attempt to knock them down or out of bounds, but far too often the ball carrier will step through, over or around him and continue running. The other half of the time he will jump on their back or grab around the waist or shoulders and many times get dragged for extra yardage or fall off.

He will not attempt a "head-on" tackle. I couldn't count the number of times I've seen him running directly at an oncoming runner only to pull up at the last moment and attempt to tackle above the waist. Again only to be thrown off or dragged for more yardage.

I think he no longer has the courage to take on a runner head-on and drive through the tackle below the waist.

Unfortunately, IMHO, his usefulness to the team is in the past.
