Broncos @ Ravens: Battle of the Masterminds... Reed vs Peyton

261 posts in this topic

If we beat Peyton I will be shocked and Ill tell you why .

Ed reed is completely lost . I have been watching him carefully the last two games and he is making a ton if bad decisions . That floater by the Deadskins 2nd string QB would have been picked or knocked down by him normally
along with some Batch throws last game .

I really don't know where his head is but he is biting on short passes and getting burned on floaters because he's biting on short pass routes

So much debbie downers. Its incredible.

We are mostly talking from a defensive standpoint. Last week charlie batch carved up our defense, and this week we let a rookie backup march down the field get a touch down a 2 point conversion and then go on to lose in OT. I think we have a chance to win if Cam Cameron puts away his damn crayons and draws up an elite offensive attack to go up against one of the top defenses in the league. But To say our defense (who gets carved by backups) has even a slight chance against an MVP candidate whos been lighting up people all year is the understatment of the century. thats why we are all downers-so to speak.

He hasnt played too well. I'll tell you another person who hasnt done so well. Jamael McClain. Jamael probably has the biggest butter-hands in our team. Check that guy out.

Won't matter. Peyton will carve our [profanity deleted] up.

Today's game was the only one of the remaining 4 I had us winning. An epic 5 game collapse is on the horizon.

Any given sunday. I wont be remotely surprised if we can win this game vs. Broncos. We had our share of wins and losses that made NO SENSE this season. lol

I hope you're right. This team is not a Super Bowl contender, but losing out might be the only way to give this whole organization the kick in the rear that it so desperately needs.

I don't want to jump overboard but it's not looking great for us against a red-hot Peyton next week. We're going to have to come out swinging for the whole 60 minutes.

We will get annihilated over the middle if Ray doesn't return. Peyton owns us.
I hate to contribute to the general negativity, but the middle would get exploited even with Ray. It's been a problem for several years now and it was no different before Ray went down this season.

My thought is that our guys may just be in better positions with Ray Ray out there... probably not, but I'm trying to stay positive.

Lost hope in this team. I try to be optimistic but I just simply can't anymore. Broncos will win, Lewis or not. It don't even matter, we can't win a superbowl with Cam at the helm, and our defense playing so poor. Sorry if I'm a debbie downer, this lost to the redskins just got me real depressed.

Broncos, 37, Ravens 24.

I'm trying to stay positive too but we all saw the D getting gashed in every facet with Ray four of the first five weeks of the season.

The next three weeks of the season will tell us a lot about this team. It was fair to doubt whether they could make a Super Bowl run before today's loss but I'm now wondering if they can win a play-off game (assuming they make it).

Masterminds ? Uhm who is the mastermind for the Ravens ? If you are going to say Harbaugh, Pees or Cameron then you are way off. It is more like the blind leading the blind. The denial is awful right now on our teams staff and no one wants to admit their ideas have led to loses.

We have an OC thatis less then creative and unwilling to change a game plan.
We have a DC that is just clueless at an NFL Level
We have a coach that so spineless that he actually hurts the team.

So where is the Mastermind you speak of ?

A defense that cannot tackle or cover. An offense that is led by a QB that fumbles every game and or refuses to just call a play quits and is more off the mark then on.

I do not see the Mastermind here ? Please point him or her out to me.

These boards are so reactionary, if we win a few games were the best team in the leauge, lose a few and the D is the worst in the leauge and the whole team sucks.

We've beaten TOM BRADY this year also Romo, Rivers, Dalton, and shut down RG3. We've beaten really good teams/QBs, yes we arent playing anywhere close to good right now but thats doesnt mean the team has no chance. The defending Super Bowl champs lost 5 out of 6 games from Nov 13th to Dec 18th last year including a lose to a worse Redskins team in mid Dec at home.

If we can get a little healthier and pick the play up to a level where we know they can play at theres a great shot at the Super Bowl.
Hardly reactionary when this team drops two straight games when they were leading late in the 4th quarter against back-up QBs. We all knew the D was mediocre at best early in the year, but they've somehow managed to get worse (at least situationally).

Also the Giants have a phenomenal pass rush-- something I don't think the Ravens have ever had. When you face elite QBs, that's a must. Do you think the Ravens D could do to Aaron Rodgers what the Giants did to him a few weeks ago?

Third, the Pats offense is playing at a completely different level than they were at the beginning of the year. I wouldn't bet a lot of money that the Ravens could eek out another win against them at this point in time, especially in Foxborough.

Glad you noticed it as well. The last 2 weeks n one has been home up the middle. If we think we can beat Peyton with this Kind of play we are very wrong or Eli for that matter.

Forget this week, time to move on to the Broncos.

This game is an absolutely must win if we want to get the number 2 seed.
Are you drunk already ? LOL We are going to lose the next 2 against above average QB's and it will be because of our defense. If you refuse to cover the center of the field guess what happens, you lose. How in the world could you think we beat Peyton whe we just lost to a Rookie and Batch ? You are in the biggest state of denial. We will most likely go 9-7 and be one and done in the Play Offs.

It's not just about Peyton and Eli. Miller, Bailey, Dumervil, Pierre-Paul and Umenyiora are just some of the quality defensive players the offense is going to face. With how inconsistent the offense is, I'm more worried about how they'll look.

McClain was a tackling machine last year. This year, he has a butter hand. Everytime he makes a tackle he misses!

It is reactionary, theres a bunch of people all over these boards saying we are going to lose out and then be 1 and done in the playoffs, thats just crazy Skip Bayless talk. We are NOT going to lose SIX straight games, we're not Eagles.

Last year I remember hearing talk about even with the 1 Super Bowl Eli wasnt good enough to win games and how Coughlin should be fired, that sounds awfully familiar (Flacco, Harbaugh).

I think his insuring his health and playing soft. The money made him think otherwise.

I try to look at it this way. The last couple years I felt we had superbowl teams and expected to win but didn't. And this year we have a playoff team and dont expect to win iit. Unless we can be the last years giants and heat up in a couple weeks we dont have a shot

Peyton has the 300 yard game trademarked. He'll have his traditional 300 plus 3 TDs. Look at what the Giants are doing to Brees. They will maul Flacco who has the pocket awareness of a children at play street sign.

I'm a broncos fan and its says a lot about your team when the fans are disappointed when they are at the top of their division. It tells me that the Ravens and their fan base have high standards. I am not taking this next game between our teams lightly. Your Ravens played an amazing first half today, have a great home field record, great record against my Broncos and finally a great record coming off a loss.
I still consider your team a formidable match up who's looking for redemption after a rough couple of games.

Here's to a good game!
