To my fellow Ravens board posters, I know were all sick to our stomachs about this.I can't even put into words what I just saw.I'm still shell shocked and will be shellshocked for the rest of the week.I really though we had it but we couldn't close the deal. This game is over and as mad as we are the season goes on.We got Denver coming up and we have to focus on them.As much as Cam and Dean need to go, we have to come to terms that that won't happen especially with Harbs backing the two of them all the time. What I saw the last two weeks was a team that played undisciplined and clearly no heart at times on that last drive. While I gotta admit were not as good as I thought I still think we will make the playoffs. With Ray Lewis and Terrell Suggs seeing what the just saw I know that theyre pissed and are gonna be ready to play. I understand that its Peyton and he has are number but non of that matters as its a different team he plays for.Its gonna be a battle but I think that after this Redskins loss(which never should have happened),this team finally realizes that they can't just win on reputation and talent.I hope that it's the wake-up call that we finally need(more so than the texans game).
i definitely agree with the "no heart" part but, the Ravens didn't need this loss to be a wake up call. they should have already been awake after losing to batch and the steelers.

I can't be to mad about the defense... we faced a talented offense with half of the starters out for all or some of the game... what i am mad about is the offense. The RAVENS should be better than this. Going to Denver (and the rest of the season)they will be facing a good pass rushing team... maybe its time to adjust (hopefully). More screens, short routes, and bring in Taylor. I know people hate the idea but in all honesty... in Flacco's contract year what has he accomplished... and don't use our record as an example... because the way the offense is playing... we may not win again. If we switch qb's and for everyone that hates Cam it may help cam because Taylor is not a Air Coryell system qb... we may have to scrap the deep route playbook and incorporate the roll outs and screens (with everyone)... something Norv Turner uses...(another Air Coryell guy). We have talent on offense but no execution so why give it a chance

Oh I agree. It's just frustrating that us as fans can see what is going wrong. I'm not saying we know how to correct it, but its clear the coaches aren't doing it either. It's the same thing week after week. Fortunately for us, it has worked out in our favor to get us some wins.

Actually 9-7 would still give us a playoff berth as even if we lose out at 9-7, we hold tiebreakers over the other teams that would give us the 6th Seed at worst.

Sometimes, people just dont wake up.

Reporter: So John, describe the loss...
Harbaugh: I think we did a great job, Offense, Defense, ST all did a fine job. We got a few things to work on but hey we're still 9-4...

Gonna go throw up now...

You can be sure of one thing, Harbs will make his post game speach saying a load of crap that he never intends to enforce and that he seems to care less. The fact that we do the same stupid crap all the time just says it all. QB mistakes, a defense that just cannot tackle or cover etc etc etc. Nothing improves and he knows nothing will affect his job but just once i would love to see it happen.

Harb's you need to either get the problems corrected or you are done. But with Harb's and his weak ways he will do zero to make changes. He is a sad sad representative of the Ravens that i have ever seen. He has no strong side to make the changes and he is just shameful for a coach of a NFL team. He cannot recognize talent, he does not know when enough is enough on defense and he seems to not give a crap as it continues. Step up and make some changes.

For example:
Take out Reed and Play Ihedigbo.
Keep Mckinnie at LT and move Oher to RT.
Stop the Bombs as Flacco is not a QB to complete them unless the receiver makes adjustments and a great catch.
Run the ball more and more.
Drop Kindle.
Use the middle of the field on offense.
On defense get anybody in the middle of the field.
More time spent on tackling in the drills as no one is tackling at all.
Set a time table for Joe to show improvement, if not oh well. The guy is just not improving.
Is time to let Ray and Ed go and find new talent in the draft.
Use more play action.

Those might help some but i am not the genius that Harbs and cam and Pees are but damn they are idiots at times.

It looks like the Ravens only need to win 1 of the next 3 games to win the division (which would give them the common opponent tiebreaker over Pittsburgh), regardless of what Cincy and Pittsburgh do. I mean, that's great and all, but I just don't see this team doing much in the playoffs. So having said that, I almost want this team to have a monumental collapse so that Ozzie and/or Bisciotti are almost forced to make coaching changes. I'm not a fan of Harbaugh at all, but I wouldn't pout if he stayed. Pees and Cameron definitely have to go though.

For real.I guess now that they lost the way they did and the way they did against pitt, they finally realize that this could be it if they don't tighten up.Hopefully they do.

We had several wake up calls and no response. Either to stubborn to admit they were wrong (CAM) or just to stupid to know it was their fault (Pees) and to clueless to change a thing (Harb's). What a winning package huh.

Yeah my main gripe is that it's always the same excuses and they'll recognize the things they did wrong in the pressers, but every year, every week, nothing actually changes. They never fix the things they say they're going to fix.

Not this game, but how many times in the past five years has Rice received too little carries, and they say afterwards that yeah he should have gotten it more, but then a few games later he still will finish with 12 carries or 2 touches in the second half. There are always a few a year, they never learn

I think it's just a case of age, the long season and injuries catching up with the team and opponents know this. The opponent knows where to find the gaps (to run or pass) in the field where normally Suggs and Lewis are and just run down the defense. The Ravens defense just can't play a 60 minute game and healthy, fresh legs need to be in there. If something is not corrected soon, this team will find itself finishing 9-7 and missing the playoffs.

Only good thing is we still clinched a playoff spot because both Steelers and bengals loss.

But talk about letting another game slip away!

( My mistake we needed a victory along with their losses to clinch the Diviision and a playoff spot today! smh)

I think you got some good points here.

-Tackling.... enough has been said already.

- Oher is a good player, but lined up on the wrong side. Last two weeks weve seen two identical plays, result sack, strip, fumble at critical times.

- On offense, we got so many weapons, but were not using them. In the second half, except the one pass to boldin, I cant imagine that joe has throw a pass to any of our recievers.

Were still sitting pretty well at 9-4. But this is the first game that I felt a lack of motivation and heart.
After kneeling down at the end of the game with 30 seconds and one timeout left, I really felt like we deserved to loose this game. Giving up 30 yards to a RG3 on one leg and a TD and a two point conversion to the backup QB was embarrassing.

On the other side we have to remember that were playing without our first 4 LBs (Ray, Suggs, Ellerbe and later McClain) and 2 starting CBs. So we can be happy to win 1 of the next 3 games I think, which probably will be the bengals game.
Some of the players and coaches have to realize that we do NOT have the 2000 defense anymore, that can win games on its own in OT.

Run defense was terrible - I think this is the third back we've let ring 100 yards on us this season. It was the difference in the game, IMO.

Dean Pees-Just flat out dumb

First half no huddle = points both run and pass game looked great second half slowed it down not so good. Joe loves the no huddle ray ran great slows pass rush limits defense subs. John and cam need to ball up and just stick with it. Every week heck every quarter is something different.

Dean Pees should have been out before the bye-week, and if he's not out before the season ends then all three Harbaugh, Pees, and Cam need to be fired. They keep saying this isn't a game to them but rather a business, and the fans don't understand that. Guess what Ravens without the fans you have no business. When the sell out games stop then someone will take notice.
