I really like the black jerseys too. What is the big deal about them? Does everyone like them just because they look good? Why can't the team wear them whenever they want? I always wondered about that.

its an alternate jersey so they have to get permission from the league before they wear them..

Alt Jersey games are decided before the season. And limited to 2 games a year. I think you can also request special dispensation from the front office but they almost never grant it.

NFL tries to protect its merchandising contracts. If we never wear our home jerseys reebok would get stuck with a bunch of shirts no one wants.

I was at the Colts game last year...Talk about being scared of the DARK.... Then it started pouring... I think we went down 21-Zip... It was and hopefully will be the ONLY Game I EVER leave in my LIFE! I could care less for these games because I more then likely can't go. ;)

[quote name='PuRock' post='88566' date='Nov 11 2008, 10:45 PM']Nope. Here's the TV distribution Map. Only the areas in Red will get the Giants Ravens game. It's mostly the Northeast and a little bit of Oregon (?).

Nice! I can finally see a Ravens game from Dayton, Ohio. Woo Hoooooooo! :D

I'm tired of having to watch the Bengals while listening to the Ravens game on Field Pass.

The networks also designate some games as more desirable, where as Chargers-Bengals might have looked like an awesome matchup in April, right now its the toilet bowl so they may choose to air another game.

Right. The game is going ahead at 1pm as advertised - too late to move it now.

We will know that one by November 25th, which is 12 days before the game. If they are going to move a game to Sunday Night, I think that the game against the Steelers is more likely.

Same here, bring on the Skins at night... I hate playing the Steelers at night, we usually lose, although it will be at home this time <_<

I tend to agree with that, but some of our guys, like Ngata, deserve more of the national spotlight.

Ok, my take on this.

Night Games: Personally, I don't mind night games. I'd rather have the games at 1 PM on Sunday, soley for the "have to work next day" factor, but I can always just drink extra coffee (at work!)

Now that said, it's not the night games we should fear Raven Fans, but games where it rains - that's when we suck - check the statistics and you'll see. Day or night, rain = wet feathers and no flying for the Ravens.

Of course, maybe to prepare the players Harbaugh turns on the sprinkler system in practice some time. :0

Black Uniform: I like the all black, but also the purple/white; don't like the all white. I think why fans like the all black - just a hunch - is that it looks menacing/tough. But really when you think about it, it matches better with the color of a real raven, all black (ok, if the light is on a raven's feathers *just* right, it has a slight purple hue, but that's stretching it, so thus the purple color of the uniform). I think all black is tough, and wish the team would have choosen that as the primary uniform over the purple.

Go Ravens! Go Falco...er, Flacco! :)

They put Pitt on notice to. James Walker's ESPN blog showed the possible games that Baltimore and Pitt could have switched and it seemed to me that Pitt has the better matchups for primetime because they will be games with playoff implications. The only game I thought the Ravens had a chance for was the one against Pitt but the orginal is an NFC battle with the Skins and Giants, I think. So, I dont see them moving it. Which is good because we suck in prime time.
