You shut your mouth. Your team has 6 rings, 8 appearances and a qb who comes up big in the clutch. I hate but respect your team. You've at least recently witnessed your team win 2 rings with another trip to the big game. Not only that but you coaches take responsibility for losses while ours make excuses. Wasn't it last year you all complained about the direction Arians was taking your team? Cam to me has directly cost us games with his playcalling and Harbaugh as well with him mismanagement of time outs and challenges. Then there is the fact Cam is still here after 2 years of inconsistent offense and continuous 3 and outs. It seems there's no in between with the offense. They are either really good or terrible. Um... What was the thread topic again?

Fair enough. I do think some of the criticism comes from not having a ring with this particular group. But the NFL is wacky. Along with great preparation and execution, a bunch of other stuff has to come together as well. It could easily be argued that last season your coaching staff did everything necessary to put the Ravens in a position to go to, and potentially win the Super Bowl. The AFCC game was lost primarily on execution. Dropped passes, missed kicks, etc. I really think the players have to own the biggest responsibility for that loss. That being said, NFL Network and ESPN analysts have been critical of Cam this week. Especially his failure to get the ball to Rice in the 4th quarter. However, no one knows for sure how many plays Flacco changed at the line or had a Rice option that he did not use. I think the Ravens made a mistake staying with those deep balls late in the game. But it's easy to say that in hindsight. I think they were concerned that they could not sustain a long drive getting a series of first downs the way the Steeler D was playing. As for Arians, I think the biggest reason the Steelers dumped him was that his scheme was getting Ben killed and shortening his career. Plus, the Steelers have had Brady kill them with the dink and dunk so many times that they finally decided to try it themselves. Final point: in some ways it takes a perfect storm to win a SB. Andy Reid is a great coach. He couldn't pull it off. Bellicheck has been stuck on 3 for 8 years. Look how long it took Cowher to get one. It never happened until he got an elite quarterback. Maybe that's the real issue.
I do believe that Joe Flacco has to step and be that QB that can carry the team on his back and take them to a SB. So far he has come close but has yet to finish the job and until he does him or the Ravens are not going to get the respect that they deserve it just wont happen....The bottom line is you gotta win Super Bowls in the NFL if you are going to get respect. Getting to the playoffs and having great regular seasons year in and year out is great but at the end of the day nobody cares about that if you dont win a ring...

I look back at the history of teams like the Steelers and 49ers.....It took decades to win a championship for those two clubs. Both had great coaches and HOF players. The Ravens are capable of winning a couple of titles in the next few years with the talent they have but i do believe some changes will have to be made in the coaching area.

Anyone who has a problem with the deep passes needs to count how many non-Boldin wide receivers are on the field. If it's less than three, then the problem isn't Flacco.

The only teams that take aggressive shots in the intermediate and/or deep game WITH their tight ends AND a running back on the field are teams with elite tight ends like Rob Gronkowski, Aaron Hernandez, Jimmy Graham, and Vernon Davis.

I believe that with the rules the way they are (no contact after five yards), with defenses being as mad athletic as they are, and and with teams able to score on one play (with the folly of John Harbaugh being the last coach that plays games close to the vest), an offense has to pass at least 50% of the time.

However, if they're going to go to a formation that has Boldin, Pitta, Leach AND Rice, I'd prefer if they just ran it every down. At least the game would get over faster, and they'd probably have a better chance at sustaining drives than they do sprinkling in passing plays with players who have no speed running predictable routes.

I agree, but to quote Cam Cameron
"Who is this Ray Rice you talk of" Even Bleacher Report knows the problem.
BLEACHER REPORT!

Don't you just hate being the laughingstock of the sports world?

I'm SICK OF IT.

I don't wish bodily harm on anyone...but many Ravens fans would have better blood pressure levels and healthier eating and drinking habits if Anquan Boldin had given that block to Cam Cameron instead of Eric Weddle. FACT.

I think we win a playoff game then lose next one due to our streaks. However, this team breaking all the streaks this year.
That's not a good thing, they're breaking good streaks. This is a bad football team that someone lucked into nine wins.

I'm still holding out hope that this team loses the rest of the regular season games. That's the only way I see any sort of the drastic changes that this team needs coming to be.

the 2012 Ravens are the team that leads the AFC North with 3 more games to be played, that's all... more when the season ends

The excuse will be injuries then and they will just stay status quo

Sorry Mili, you're absolutely right with the edit, though. I need a break from the computer/football. Will probably go on a run then watch a Christmas movie or something.

It's tough. We now realize we won't win the Super Bowl, most likely. However, we keep the faith.

The bite of nfl parity wounds all including the invincible Ravens. We are frustrated for squandering so much talent but let's take solace that we have set some lofty records . We realize we have been dealt with.bittersweet futile success. In the words of Lamar woodley. we are always the bridesmaid, never the bride.

Ed reed has not son a ring and it saddens me. We are now a laughing stock and will be remembered as a team, if he retires, that never won a Super Bowl with a defense that had the ball-hawk. Quite pathetic, indeed.

I did not only want to grieve but preach a little about being a fan and optimism for the future. We need not lash out but comfort one another in tough times. Lets not bicker on who was at fault but what we can do to get better this and next year. All is not lost, but there was not much to lose to begin with. We were at an uphill battle without healthy Suggs and cam Cameron

There are those who want flacco gone. This I'd foolish unless you give me a veteran who has won a ring and is in his prime. We should be happy he will probably come cheaper now. He is still an asset not a liability . Instead of inaction, lets do something about it and rally around our team. Take pride in 5 playoff appearances and concede that our team does not have the necessary talent to go all the way.

The Window closes for everyone. Now the question is for how long.

They are a team that cannot make adjustments in the 2nd half when their opponents do.

We made them punt a lot in the first half and our defense gave up 10 points. We are an injury plagued team with a QB who seems to be regressing. He's got Phillip Rivers-itis.
