Reporter: Joe, how does it feel over on the sidelines in the 4th quarter knowing you don't have to play?
Joe: I don't know, a small part of you wants to stay in there and put up stats but you know you're going to be really running the ball anyway. You're just happy to see Tyrod and some of the other guys get a chance to get in there and play.

And from that you take away that Joe is just interested in the numbers? That's really reaching.

Yeah, you have to search the video section for November and then scroll down to get the presser from after the Raiders' game. He also was smiling and chuckling.

After five-years, we're still having this conversation?

Not to get too political, but I spent three days coming up with new and creative ways to fix the US economy, government, etc. -- three days.

And here we are, five-years later and we're still arguing about OUR quarterback?

How about we just trade Chicago for Cutler? How that man continues to play for the Bears, I will never understand. Ravens fans appear to be wanting to ride Joe out of here on the same horse Jay is riding out of Chicago on.

The economics talk is for the offseason lol. Joe>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Cutler. AND Cutler has an elite weapon in Marshall. IDU why they fired Martz either. Martz was a good OC. That gave me an idea!
EDIT: Nm about Martz.....

At this point I am not sure it matters but I will list this anyway and end my input on this subject.

Fact: As others have reported, Joe is on track to have his most passing attempts during a season.
Fact: This is a contract year.
Fact: Joe stated that he would have liked to have added to his stats.
Fact: The offense did exclude their most reliable player for an entire quarter during a crucial part of an important divisional game and loss.
Fact: We've visited the subject many times in the past of not having enough running attempts following a loss but never had to state that there weren't enough passing attempts.
Fact: The team has been more consistent and successful using a balanced approach.
Fact: The Steeler's game represents a repeat of the same mistake that resulted in a fumble and a loss against the same team after holding a lead.

Makes me wonder about the difficulty of the learning curve. This is not all on Joe, the coaches have to know when step in and control plays and players.

Good article on joe here. I will pick out some parts.

""It's a little bit of everything [but] it all comes back to the quarterback," said Flacco, who has two touchdown passes over his last three games and hasn't completed at least 65 percent of his passes since Week 6, also the last time Ravens linebacker Ray Lewis played in a game. "You have to look at me. That's what it's all about."

For yous that think he doesn't blame himself.

"I think we have to get back to some of the no-huddle stuff," Flacco said. "Some of that is a little frustrating. We've gotten away from doing that a little bit. I think there are points out there to get, and we haven't taken advantage of that."

In the no-huddle this year, Flacco has had a quarterback rating of 112.6, thrown eight touchdowns and two interceptions, completed 64 percent of his passes, and the Ravens have averaged 7.2 yards per play. When huddling, Flacco has a rating of 75.7 to go along with seven touchdowns, six interceptions and a 58 percent completion percentage, while the offense has averaged 4.9 yards a play.

Clearly showing going away from the no huddle has totally, utterly hindered our offense, and that joe wants to run it more, yet cam won't allow it.

"Flacco said he didn't know why the team had gone away from the no-huddle. Offensive coordinator Cam Cameron said the decision is dictated by several factors, including the opponent, the flow of the game and whether the Ravens are home or away. Crowd noise on the road has made it tough for the players to hear Flacco's audibles at the line of scrimmage."

Flaccos statline while huddling compared to no-huddle (aka pace of play) are drasticly different.

its night and day like. It's clear we play our best football from no huddle. Just run with it, sure we might mess up from time to time but if it pulls in a few scores it increases our chance of winning.

lol Fact: Joe is not the one calling the plays.
Fact: Joe was not the one who called the play the last time there was a strip fumble either.
Fact: Joe is not about the numbers, nor is the team, or he would not be taken out.
Fact: Everyone here just jumps on anything and everything this kid does/says.
Fact: All the naysayers in here will be back, proclaiming how he stepped up his game, he's great, now he's learning, etc etc once he outguns RGIII OR they will not be heard from again until he has a bad game.

What were these facts for ?

Did Joe actually Fumble the ball ? Yes, what does play calling have to do with holding onto the ball ?
No one disagrees that Joe has talent because he is very talented. I think the problem is he just not play up to his talent most of the time and it is frustrating. You know he can make accurate throws but is off a lot of the time. We know he is not fleet of foot but a little pocket awareness goes a long way and holding onto the ball to long is never a good idea knowing our O'line is not the best out there. He does not have to out throw RG3 just play smart, throw accurately andstop staring down your receivers for gods sake.

How many times has Joe fumbled the ball? Seriously a blindside strip is not a trend... Its not Kyle... Most any QB would have fumbled that ball on that hit. You think Brady would have held onto the ball? We have stripped Brady like that multiple times over the years. Joe gets more drops out of our team than most. Not saying his accuracy is down this year, because it is, however in the broad scheme of things you cant blame everything on Flacco. When every team knows that we are not running Ray, they all drop back... Why do you think the dump to Ray works so much? Because defenses just sit and wait. If they are covered, it takes Joe one more second to find something else or get sacked. You know what 1 second can do for defenses. Brady, or any other elite QB, would be in the same situation if they dont have anyone open to throw to. We need more quick passes, not looking for the deep all the time. Run Ray, and open the pass. Look at every Play action team that it works, they have a workhorse RB that gets the ball and opens the deep ball. I dont care if people want to be flacco haters, go for it. However there is one QB that has gotten us to the playoffs every year he has been here. We all know the issues on this team. Yet we point at someone who is winning, with those issues. Point your focus at the underlying main issues, instead of solely blaming a QB for our losses. I dont think Brady would do any better here, as he would get hit, and you know how Brady plays when he gets hit. Thats why we beat him in the past.

AQ hit us for 30 yards last game, fact. TS didnt catch a catchable TD pass, fact. Ray Rice wasnt used, fact. Missed tackles, Fact. Soft mid field defense, fact. Predictable OC, Fact. Redzone only DC, Fact. the list goes on...

I hope he doesn't sign an extension. Tyrod Taylor has a lot of potential...quarterbacks have to be mobile these days. Taylor can be this franchise's future!

if we no huddle more with our defense in the shape it is in now... and we start to bogg down on offense or face too many three and outs and have to punt... that would cause our hurt defense to be on the field more and the ravens having to pass every situation... less rice more Flacco... more deep throws and more of the opposing defenses bringing more blitzes in turn having Joe getting sacked a lot or fumbled intercepted etc.
