Joe Flacco assessment and miscellaneous "stuff"

All I'll say that is if we lose tomorrow and Flacco is the reason, God help him.

For your sake and mine (because I don't want to be around here if that happens), please play well tomorrow Joe.
If that happens I'm going to extend my 3 day mandatory self imposed ban from Ravens Talk to two weeks. It's scary to even think about.

It will be brutal around town. Defintely no 105.7.

Yeah. I'll try to avoid any kind of media that could bring up sports. Baltimore will burn if Joe loses a playoff game this year.

Playing QB in this town is a tough gig. Joe or anybody else can't win with some people. Joe may or may not ever be as good as Payton or Tom but he is the best this town has seen since Johnny U. I still remember the parade of qb's that marched through this town before joe got here. If the next Tom Brady or Payton falls in our lap OK but until then get on board. Joe Flacco is the QB of the Baltimore Ravens. He's led us to five straight playoff births. I dont know about the rest of you guys but i like our seasons not ending in Dec. There's alot of things that have to go right to win the SB. The very first thing is Makeing the Playoff's. If we win this year Joe will be just a part of it. If we don't Joe will still be just a part of it.
Even if our season did end in December, as long as it was with a 10+ win season, I'd still be happy. Our division may be that way in about 2-3 years. ;)

I love me some Joe Flacco. :P

Funny thing is I remember a bunch of those guys saying Dalton was better than Flacco last year - wonder how they're feeling about Dalton now?

Wow, if flacco was making those deep throws to green in that game that cincy and houston played, I guranteed you they would not be underthrown at the very least. Again, this proves flacco is still a valuable commodity to the ravens and should be treated as such. Whew, if dalton would have made that pass in the fourth quarter, we could be going to new england, instead of denver.

Let's all pray that the offensive line holds up against freeny and mathis because denver is a completely different animal.

So now we're pretending that Joe hasn't underthrown Smith constantly this season?

Now, I acknowledge flacco has under thrown balls and overthrown but those are usually a result of Torrey slowing or increasing his speed sporadically or flacco being hurried. Dalton, unlike flacco, does not have great arm strength and his team suffered because of that.
Cincy and Pittsburgh fans (not sure what stake Pitt fans have in praising Dalton, maybe they felt threatened by the Ravens) were saying Dalton was better too. So was that "expert" Vinny on 105.7. Welp.

The slate of games today features 3 rookie QBs and Joe Flacco.

Hey Flacco, don't get outclassed by a bunch of rookies.

I remember some of those same Pittsburgh fans saying "we need to start taking this Flacco kid seriously" after the opening game last year when he thrashed them. And the last time I checked, they haven't won a playoff game since 2010-2011, after they were Tebowed last year and then proceeded to lose to Cleveland, Dallas, San Diego, and Cinci down the stretch this year. Maybe they praise Dalton because they know the only shot they're going to have at the playoffs in the coming years is if the Ravens and Bengals knock each other out.

So we can let this thread die too right?
No. If we dont win it all, they'll be back as usual. If we do win it all, it will be because Rice and the defense won it for us, not Flacco.
Very predictable, really...

But Rice is on the list of Shame today.
I'm suprised that no delusional person has made the
"I want Pierce" board

Not like Dalton, Dalton just doesn't have the arm of Joe.

Flacco often looked more like Fluke-o. Only 12 completions. But about 6 were huge, esp. heaves to Anquan. 172 yds rushing didn't hurt either

Flacco played damn well today. Recall that 3 passes were drops, arguably 4.

I don't try to get caught up in E!SPN's silliness, but the fact Skip Bayless is taking credit away from him just makes me laugh.

You know, Torrey may not have done much in the receiving game, but he was huge in the blocking scheme this afternoon. So Pierce, Pitta and Boldin better be buying that boy a fat ol' steak tonight.

Considering the lack of support from the offensive line and with him many times throwing on the run, Joe did very well out there today. No complaints.

Flacco played really well, while escaping the pass rush constantly and being let down by his receivers in the first half. He could've had 3 TDs, if Doss would've managed to hold onto at least one pass in the end zone. And Ray Rice, who is one of the best RBs of this league, chose to fumble in the playoffs. Twice.
And yet, people are still ripping Joe. Oh no, his Comp. percentage is not great. He only threw for almost 300 yards with 12 Att. and scored 2 TDs. What a bum, right? Am I missing something? Why does everyone beat up on the guy, when he actually played well? Argh, I'm giving up. I officially stopped caring. -_-

i agree! i was soooo excited and happy for Joe on those big throws. this is the way that i like to see Joe play! he is our QB! the leader! he needs to lead like today! i hope he keeps it up next week in denver and then against who ever the Ravens opponent would be next after that! let's go Joe!
