This Philly game worries me..... Not Vick.... But McCoy..... our run D hasnt been up to par even tho our past D is way better.... Also Philly CB's actually match up very well with our WR's... Rulio and Roddy are fast but they more out physical CB's .... Philly has 2 bigger CB's.... Plus Philly has always gave us problems even tho we beat them last year.
Don't fret. I'm sure you'll win the division by a landslide, your competition is so weak! You'll probably get a bye too.

I'd like to point out that Eli had a significantly worse start to his career than Flacco, but you still want Joe gone.
I don't necessarily want him gone but I want consistency and I'm not getting it. I want to see him under a new OC first before showing him the door.

You don't agree? That's straight-up true
No doubt Rodgers is better then both.... Thats not even a question.... I just feel like I just feel like thw Matt Ryan has more weapons then Flacco when Flacco has weapons himself is a built in excuse..... I would not trade our weapons for nothing in the world.. I feel like we have some of the best... Saying that.. Flacco has weapons to.

I still remember then old timer told me.... Rather you are in a million dollar studio or in a 80,000 studio... As long as you have the equipment to make good music.... You have no excuse.... Its you

Not saying its just Flacco.... The also has to run the ball.... My point is the excuses why ppl trying to not give Ryan his props this year on this thread.

Yea.. But the NFC is so good..... Philly or/and Greenbay could be a 5th and 6th seed

Matt Ryan has balled this year, no doubt, with the exception of the Oakland game (I think). You're right, he's got the weapons and he's using them.

Philly always burns out near the end of the road, barring last year, when they were well out of playoff contention. The Eagles won't win Vick period.

Flacco's good is pretty damn good, but his bad is pretty damn bad, lol. I mean the INTs weren't his fault, but he was very inaccurate throwing 15+ yards down the field. You see Brady against ARZ or against us last January? That's about as bad as it gets for Tom, which wasn't really that bad.

At their worst, the elite QBs can only be contained, and only for a little while during a game. Elite QBs are never completely shut down, like Joe unfortunately was today. He has occasional stretches on the road where he's totally out of rhythm. Everyone on this offense, from the QB to all the position coaches, needs to figure out why we haven't been playing offense on the road. Does the crowd noise really affect us that badly? We have to figure out why we aren't doing what we've been doing at home on the road.

Ok, that's fair and I'm more than with you on that one. It's time to see if the next guy can open him up the way the next guy did with Brees and Rivers.

You know, I don't need Joe to be an "elite" QB. I need him to be the right fit for this offense.

Now we back to the topic... I agree... Listen.. If Flacco thrives in this system and win Championships..... Rather he does it like Brees or Rodgers or not... They will call him Elite..... Big Ben doesnt fit those guys Elite but he has championships so he is considered Elite

I just don't see how he's clutch. Eli? Fine. Matt Ryan? No.

He also gave away that game to the Packers (at home) similar to the way the Ravens screwed up vs. PIT that same way.
Isn't he leading the league in 4th quarter come backs? To me he is better at the position. As far as Joe he is what he is in the pocket, but I would like to see a new OC for him.
I've already said why I don't care about 4th quarter comebacks as a stat. If you don't underachieve for 3 quarters, you won't need a 4th quarter comeback.

But I don't want to be like Falcons fans who are always fretting about Flacco. Point is, I want to see Flacco under a new OC before showing him the door.

Flacco is a Really good QB and i do think he could be in the upper Group but the team especially the head coach... Stop worrying about making the public believe in Flacco and asking him to do this and that... Let Ray Rice pound the rock... When that safety come in the box... Flacco show off that big arm

or maybe his defense isn't that good? I wouldn't call that underachieving. I really do think this season is gonna go down hill.

I must say atljbo, you've been battled on here many times, but for the most part, you seem pretty pro Flacco despite also being pro Ryan. You prove that we can recognize the success in both of these guys. I'll be one of the first guys on here to give you your credit :)

It does look like that... One of our falcon fans made a Flacco thread today..... About 90% of us are saying... Dude let it go... Its petty... Its not about Flacco and Ryan...... Its about where Ryan matchup with the elite guys... Thats the group we want him to be in.

This year... Yea.... I disagree as a Falcon fan... We was not a good D at all in the past... Vs the run we was top 5 before this year but vs the past we was in the lower 3rd of the year.... This year our D has stepped up under a real DC... Coach Nolan but the previous 4 years... We was worst in 3rd down D.... We wasnt good at all

Does Ray lead the comebacks. Nope. Ray also wouldn't be able to do what he does without Joe. It's kind of the you scratch my back I scratch yours theory. Flacco is a top 10 QB, and Ryan isn't too far ahead. In fact in a lot of ways he's better. But Flacco would also be a better QB if he had weapons like Jones and White. And Arod at this pace is on his way to being an all time great, a QB that can make anyone look good. Flacco does that with his WR. Jacoby is mediocre, Anquan is old, Torrey is young, Pitta is really good, and Ed is tbd. But with a (one, as a few have said, Torrey isn't elite yet) elite weapon, Flacco is elite. But who cares about labels, Ryan is a good player, but overrated.

4th quarter comebacks is a dumb stat...drive your team 30 yards for a field goal and it's a comeback.

If you don't underachieve all game you don't need a 4th quarter comeback. That's what guys like Skip Bayless use against people like Aaron Rodgers.
aww man! don't mention this dude. you know he already hates the Ravens and i know he was laughing, mocking and making fun of them because of this loss. he's gonna roast them tomorrow morning on First Take. unfortunately, i can already hear him saying...."Joe Fluko." :34853_doh:

Thanks... It all starts with i am a fan of a couple of ravens players... Cant help but Appreciate Ray Lewis even if he is slowing down some.... As a man and player.....

But to Falcco.. Even tho i believe in Matt Ryan... It doesnt mean i have to knock the work Flacco puts in to make Ryan look better... I feel like that is petty.... Flacco is a good QB.... On sunday when my team is playing... Im a ultra Homer.... But when it come to discussing players with other fans.... Im not a Homer... If someone is better.... They are better... Doesnt mean my Falcon player is not just as good or closer in my eyes.

When it comes to pure physical tools, I don't think it's a stretch to say Flacco is the most gifted in the league. He has arguably the strongest arm and beyond ideal height and build for the position. We need to find a coordinator who is better able to apply those tools.

Yall dont make threads anymore but ive heard plenty of Raven fans say they wanted Ryan to fell in games... Mainly because of the Ryan and Flacco thing in the other team game threads.... So its not a big difference... It is what it is... Like i said... atleast 90% of us Falcon fans are way past that but some are not.

I agree that it's a function of our weapons. I'm steadily losing my faith in Boldin (disregard the sig) and though I like Torrey and Jacoby and even Doss, none of them can be considered elite. Matt Ryan has arguably the top receiver tandem in the league plus a HOF TE in Gonzalez. It would be completely shameful for him not to produce in that position. Compare to Flacco, and I can't see him having all that much success without that proven, elite weapon.

Tangent: Dwayne Bowe wants to leave KC http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2012/10/17/report-dwayne-bowe-wants-out-of-kansas-city-very-badly/

I love Joe and will support him through thick and thin, but I have to admit his ceiling is low given the lack of true weaponry around him, relative to the rest of the league. Not to mention this defense has been disgusting all year.
