Now for the record, I've hated Cam for years, and he needs to go.

HOWEVER

What has Caldwell done? Joe's pocket presence is still as bad as ever. Is this proof that Caldwell was really getting coached by Manning? Is Joe uncoachable? Which one is it?

Caldwell hasn't even been here a full season. Manning only went up 4 points in QBR under Caldwell and Moore in his first season, he got much better in seasons 2 and 3 under that team. Changes take time, even for a guy as great as Peyton Manning. The problem is we waited until Joe was in a contract year to do this, and got rid of the guy who helped him a ton in his 3rd year.

I can't understand what is goung on in the QB department. Sometimes Joes looks so lethargic like he is on drugs. He does some bonehead things like holding on the ball to long or sailing it way high. What is his QB couch (Jim Caldwell) tryng to teach this guy. Maybe it is also Cam and his B.S. play calling. Not using much of the middle or throwing to many long balls.... beats me!

Have you guys also noticed the no huddle is completely gone.
I think that's for the best. The D played better up until this point without the no-huddle.

The real problem for the O was the lack of Rice touches in the 4th Quarter. He was having his first really good game in about a month, and so what do we do? We stop giving him the ball.
???

Caldwell comes from a Colts team that tried to score touchdowns on every drive.

He has to adjust to Camball for the Ravens.

How often did the Colts use up-tempo and speed?

As for Rice in the 4th, they would really benefit from a spread Smith-Boldin-Reed/Thompson and even Smith-Jones-Reed/Thompson where you dictate to defenses that they will not be putting 8 and 9 in the box. Instead, Rice is going to have a low ypc until they take out at least one of the slow players (Pitta, Boldin, Dickson, Leach). Cameron tips his hand too often. You'd seriously have to have far-and-away the best O-line in the NFL to execute such a counterproductive scheme with the depth the Ravens have at wideout.

I agree; it's one thing to have the no huddle be successful, but when it's not (aka, when we ran it) the defense had to go back on the field with minimal rest. Not a recipe for success; time of possession has always been our game

we have three plays in the playbook. Ironically all the WR's run identical routes....one play is where all 4 WR's run a 5 yard out and rice does a wheel (Cam loves to use this on 3rd and long situations), and we spend a lot of time in 3rd and long because the other play consists of all 3 WR's running flys, and then theres a few screen plays.

This is the Ravens playbook in a nutshell, if Bisciotti wants change GET CAM OUT OF HERE!!!!

Yes, RG3 could very well light them up, but if Harbs doesn't find a way to get this offense untracked, they we be watching the playoffs from their home recliners.Steeler game plan was a disaster, and don't get me started on the way Flacco played.

lets take a look at the offense this year

No huddle is completely gone not even halfway through the season (hello! we spent a whole offseason on it)
Leach not used enough (the best FB in the game standing on the sidelines for two thirds of the plays? really?)
Oline not helped by 50 yard bombs every other play (our oline isn't good to begin with)
We can never run a route shorter than the sticks (there is something called run after catch. it doesn't have to be at the sticks)
Never use PA (is it me or is cam obsessed with the shotgun)

thats brainstorming in just 1 minute how our offense has been totally sabotaged. i'm sure there is plenty i'm missing as well. I'm not putting up with it any longer. if cam isn't fired, i'm done with this team.

I did, and that was a big mistake. No reason to not use it at home when it's been working so well there.

You're hired. Now we just have to sneak into the Castle, kidnap Cam, and keep him somewhere safe and quiet until we win the SB.

Cams fault. Anyone, Jim has not had a full season with Joe. The problem is that exactly. Jim isnt the problem, Cam is.

The problem is you are taking an average player trying to make him great.

Thats not a bad thing.

Did anyone notice that we did not run the ball the first drive? Or was there a run play I just missed....it was horrible play calling as usual. Obviously if the deep bombs to Torrey Smith don't work in the beginning, they won't work again. Instead get the ball to him and Q in space and let them do the work. Instead of having Torrey streak for a catch, give him the ball 5 yards out and LET HIM RUN. You are correct in saying we have 3 plays, I feel like Cam plays way too much Madden. The same plays do not work. And let's not even start about bombing it on 3rd and 10 instead of actually trying to pick up the first down. Our offense looks horrendous, especially over these last few weeks. I hate to say it, but we do not look like a team capable of winning the Super Bowl. We have too many things that need fixing. I hope they prove me wrong. I think this next week at RG3 will show us who our team really is.

Cameron is horrible. He puts Flacco is too many 2nd and 3rd and longs. The Steelers Blitz and its punt time. No ball control. No Rice touches in 4th qtr! Cameron needs to be fired. Bring in Donald Trump to give him the news.

I think if Caldwell had communications with Flacco early on in the season ( when Flacco was targeting pitta alot early on every game ) then Cam stepped in put muzzle on him told him u throw deep no matter what he says TEs don't matter that's why I got rid of Heap to not use these to young TEs at all. Don't let that man ruin ur head with all that talk about Seam routes, and slants freeing up the middle of field.

Too many incompletions. This needs to be addressed on the practice field and in the film room. We all know from last year's AFCCG what happens when you have too many dropped/misthrown passes.

That's like every running back in the league. It's extremely rare that a running back consistently gains 5 yards every carry its always like 4,1,-2,10,3,1,0,7,12 ( equal 9 car 36yds) that's just the way things work out. Rice and pierce both ran hard and well tonight, rice broke a few tackles, fell forward on most runs instead of the shoe-string tackles that sometime get him.
Rice and pierce could have easily combined for 150+ yds if they had gotten 10 more carries ( which could have also helped lower the clock while we had lead ) instead of more bombs down field. It's either bombs are terribly overthrown or 2 yards to short and they sail so long in the air it's hard for the WRs to judge how to adjust to them lol. Ball goes flying in the air like a punt, seems like when he throws a bomb the tv should go into slow motion with some heroic music playing for the miracle catch but then u watch and nope not even close to that.

I thought this year he and Torrey would have that timing down to really get those deep routes and that Jacoby would get the occasional 30 yarder too but his deep accuracy is just not dependable.

Just once I would like to see a gameplan where we deliberately refuse to throw it deep, let the receivers run underneath, use the middle of the field, spread the ball out, and use all the receivers we have on the team. Just let the goal be 75 percent completion percentage, 25+ carries for Rice, move the ball down the field. Focus on trying to move the ball instead of scoring points, and I think we'd score even more than we do now.
